But the coffee is very high quality, and many of the homemade syrups are delicious. This coffee shop is inside of a craft, gift, and florist shop which is quite fun and unique. The baristas are vey matter of fact and efficient.

Since I'm currently pregnant and can only have decaf coffee, she made sure my order was clearly communicated to the team, which I was very grateful for. The café itself is aesthetically beautiful, although we did have to wipe down our table because there were crumbs left from the previous guests. The seating is nice, but the chairs could be more comfortable if you plan to stay for an extended period. My only other suggestion would be to improve customer engagement at the register. On a few visits, it has felt like employees finished conversations with coworkers before helping customers. Overall, I enjoy coming to Layali because the ambiance is one of the best in Rochester. We ordered iced chais, which were excellent, but the real surprise was the food. We weren't quite sure what to expect from a coffee shop serving burritos, but wow, were we wrong. We ordered two Clem Burritos, one vegetarian and one with brisket. They were absolutely packed with ingredients and loaded with flavor. Every bite seemed to have a little bit of everything: beans, rice, pico, pickled cabbage, salsa, crema, and plenty more. The combination of flavors and textures worked incredibly well. The crema and salsa were both fantastic, although we definitely would have appreciated a little more of each. Now for the funniest part of the meal: the side of chips. The menu says the burrito comes with chips, and technically it does. As you can see from my photo, we received exactly three chips. Not a handful. Not a small pile. Three individual chips. The funny thing is, they were really good chips. We wanted more of them! It felt like the kitchen accidentally stopped counting at three and decided that was enough. Hopefully they'll revisit the portion size because it's the only thing that felt out of place in an otherwise excellent meal.
