Hubby was craving tamales and pupusas. Found this place on yelp and placed an order. As we looked it up on waze, it gave us an address in Pomona on Holt Ave and one in Ontario on Holt Blvd. If looking for this place, GPS to Holt Blvd, even though the yelp address says Holt Ave. Why so much detail? Well... once we got to the address on Holt Blvd, waze kept directing me on the opposite side of the street. Finally saw the restaurant and the outside sign just says Pupuseria so we figured we were in the right spot. It's a small spot so drive slowly or you might miss it. When I arrived to pick up my order, the staff was extremely nice and attentive with good customer service. Chicken tamal and pupusa requests both had good flavor.. but both were a bit too salty from what I am used to. We also got the beans, plantains and crema. The plantains were firm and the beans lacked flavor. Great customer service and food was just ok in my opinion.

Have tried this pupusas in the past and didn't like them whatsoever, as a born and raised Salvadoran! Very bland, no much meat in the pupusas or cheese, it's more masa than anything. Then, I come to find out that SB county inspector closed down the business because the unsanitary conditions. The place is gross.

Yummm yumm yumm A little cramped inside an a tad bit hard to find because of the bigger stores next to it But once you find it , you will be happy that you did. The food was super fresh! And worth the price

Good food until we found a hair in the pupusa. Slow service too! We called in the order and the lady said 20 minutes but when I arrived I waited for more than 20 minutes for my order to be ready.

This place is not the cleanest nor has the best coustumer service. However, the pupusas are just a bit above average. The curtido is average and the salsa is below average. Around this area there aren't many pupuserias so it's possible I'll come back. I asked the server for tap water but she suggested they only had bottle water even though that's illegal. Doesn't feel like food is authentic.

I ordered 2 pupusas thinking I could handle both.

I'm so glad I finally stopped in for pupusas. They are huge, cheesy and so delicious. The friendly service is great too. Didn't wait long either. Will definitely be back.

My family is Salvadorean so I am just a little bit picky lol…read more We all ordered pupusas this time but I have had their breakfast and it is lovely. The customer service stands out, I've only ever had the same guy serve us which I think might be the owner. He was busy busy but still provided good service. The decor in the restaurant is very cute and there's multiple signs letting you know that good fresh food takes time lol We ordered pupusas revueltas, tamal de pollo, a side order of casamiento, horchata and a coffee. Prices are great! I love the little bread (Madeleine) he gives each customer. I had it with my coffee and it was delicious. Again, I'm a little picky and I LOVED the horchata. The pupusas were delicious and not greasy, which is important to me. It's so hard to find good salvadorean tamales but these are solid! My boyfriend loved the casamiento. There's so many items I want to come back and try like the bistec encebollado, pupusa de queso con Loroco, sopa de res, empanada de leche and pastelito de carne. If you're debating coming here, don't, you won't regret it!

The service is so friendly and we are regulars, the owners are kind to us and our kiddos. They always have great music playing for ambiance and the quality of food is always 10/10. Everything is freshly made so do not expect for fast food speed, the wait will be so worth it! I will never go anywhere else for Salvadorian food. This is IT! Some of my favorites are the pupusas with chicharrón and cheese, zucchini cheese and garlic, the huevos rancheros, plátanos con crema , pollo en crema, and the chicharrón if you don't mind fried pork!

Firstly, compared to the pupusas I usually get from a different restaurant closer to my home, the service was not the best. They took a long time to make our order. We waited for about 35 minutes and it was hot in there with no AC. Their music was blasting too and there was flies buzzing around. Immediately regretted ordering here during those moments. Secondly, my husband and I ate the pupusas at home and wanted to spit it out. I'm not sure what kind of cheese they use if it's maybe more authentic than what I am used to but it was pungent and so strong. It made it completely inedible for us and my husband who is Hispanic said it's not a cheese he's familiar with. The curtido and salsa could not redeem the pupusas for us so had to throw them out.

That happened to me and they don't offer a refund to your original payment. They tell you to come pick it up with no compensation. Although I was missing food. The pupusas i got were decent and not greasy. I do not recommend pastelitos there, very greasy and filling is lacking... they were not good.
