3/20/25 Pretty hefty carne asada burrito, with a Diet Coke $10 Craving menudo but they only serve them on Saturdays & Saturdays. Hubby ordered the carne asada burrito for me & requested grilled onions. The guy taking the order was friendly, says Hubby. For a small little Mexican joint, the menu was fairly extensive. Breakfast menu is 8-11 am & they charge an extra $1 if ordered after 11 am. Only outdoor seating available w/ solid covers (umbrellas attached to cement round tables, benches) by the drive thru. The outdoor area appears clean & well maintained. The parking area is also clean but not well lit at night. My order was up about 8 minutes as Abby called it out. She says, "we usually charge extra for grilled onions but we didn't this time". Side note: I got my grilled onions on my carne asada burrito at my favorite food truck (Mi Teresita in East Hollywood), at no extra charge-- awesome, best burrito EVER! This shop is located on the southwest corner of Kingsley & Central. Took my burrito home & looked at the massive portion-it was good. The carne was a little on the drier side but thankfully the beans & rice part softened it a bit. The grilled onions needed more grilling & that would've made the world of difference. This place used to be the best FLAVORED Al Pastor spot in the IE. Went back recently and it was completely bland and dry. Used to come here for years but now it has completely changed. They also added a ton of red chilis in the burrito when I requested just to add Carrots. Never coming here again. I came to order as I usually do regularly order my California with added chile relleno order taker said she didn't have it she's evening 5:30pmish I told her I've ordered it plenty of times. She sounded frustrated after I let her know so ok she charged me l get my food she's sarcastic. Came to this spot because I've been eyeing it for sometime now. I tried the Gringo breakfast burrito. I was pretty disappointed. The Gringo breakfast burrito contains or should contain all 3 meats, this is shown on their menu. They asked if i wanted rice on my breakfast burrito, never had rice on my breakfast burrito, some new but not for me. I declined the rice. After getting my burrito it was literally a bean burrito with a few pieces of ham and some egg. Nothing as described on the menu. Also burrito was too small compared to other ones I've had. This place easily gets my recommendation. They are efficient, delicious, friendly, and worth the price. No, I don't mean they're cheap. For a place with only outdoor seating, I always see their space very well kept when I walk by. Maybe I wish there was ONE more table, but that's probably not an easy thing to do, and they look more focused on to-go orders. I finally tried their food the day before writing this, and I had what was hands down the best shrimp burrito I've ever had. The fries are simple, but they're thick, crinkle cut fun and made my son very happy. I do like their drink selection, too. As much as my budget says I shouldn't go back soon, it's gonna be all I'm thinking about. Next time a friend offers to cover food, I'll see if I can talk them into coming here. read more

I started a new job in the Ontario/Montclair area. I work from 7 am to 4 pm. I have at eaten several little Mexican restaurants in the area. For a quick to go taco or burrito, Ramiro's is the place. Ramiro's has the biggest and tastiest burritos in the area. I have picked up two burritos from there two times. Each time the burrito was large and in charge. The ingredients are well cooked and savory. The ingredients appear to be fresh. The first time I ordered a chicken burrito. The chicken was shredded and was flavored with greatness. The second time I ordered a chili relleno burrito. The chili relleno was big and filled with cheese. I always ask what each restaurant puts in their burritos. He staff was very helpful and patient. The chicken burrito comes with rice and beans. I don't like rice, in my burrito. I had them leave it out. To me.... A burrito always has beans and what ever other protein meat is ordered. The prices are very reasonable and slightly lower than the competitors. As I walked up to the restaurant, the music was blasting. On my first trip it was a little too loud for me to order properly. The staff was very polite and repeated the answered to my questions. On my second trip, the music was not so loud. All was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family in the area. I was so hungry and the food was so delicious, I forgot to get pictures. Next time.... 4.5 out of 5 stars. This local business has been around a long time and my family have been coming here for many years. I happened to be in the area the other day and popped on by. I ordered the combo plate with a beef taco, cheese enchilada and rice along with an order of carne asada fries and a horchata drink. Yes, the drive thru was abit of a wait and there were several other customers were also waiting in the outdoor patio, so let it be. Each plate costed $9.00. For the amount of food, that's not a bad price. The drink was another $3.50 and was a huge styrofoam cup. Everything tasted good and hit the spot, I was feeling pleasantly plump afterward. My only "complaint" (and cause for the minus 1/2 star) was that the speaker at the drive thru was totally out of whack. I could not understand anything the young lady replied with when I placed the order and she had to repeat herself a couple times. At the third try I could finally hear her clearly. The other day I went to go buy a burrito. I only ordered the burrito, but they also gave me chips with salsa. Total price for everything was was a little over $20. I asked why the price was so high and she told me that all their food comes with chips. I've been coming here for a very long time. Never been give chips before unless I asked. My girlfriend and I decided to give this place a try since its always packed. The person who took our order was very kind and patient. The prices were very high for Mexican. When we got to the window we tipped her for the great customer service. However, I am giving a 1 star review for a couple of reasons. The quesadilla my girlfriend ordered was drenched in grease. To the point that when we opened the box the grease poured out and made a huge mess. Her favorite sweats were ruined. She couldn't even eat it anymore, we had to switch plates. I go through a few bites of the quesadilla, but after the fourth I couldn't anymore. Super super I mean SUPER greasy thing. Packed with meat but it tasted like the meat was not fresh and it was such a bad after taste. The tacos my girl said were like a 5/10. The asada sopes we got were like a 5/10. Just so disappointed because Mexican food is not hard to get wrong, so the fact that this went south so awfully is just terrible. Will not be coming back here :( . read more

Giving a 3 because a couple of reasons. First obvious one is they have a B rating. Next I got food there a few times. They either changed management or just did a remodel. Food is better from before remodel but not there. Got two kids meal exactly the same but as you can see from the images the burrito sizes are way off. Also got a combo plate the bean tostada was stale and tasted old. The taquitos and hard shell taco were good. Hubby had a asada burrito. He liked it but was missing maybe rice cause it was too juicy greasy but flavor is there. Jamaica was good and horchatas are good too. Now it's opened after an extensive remodeling of their kitchen, they cook all the Latin specials you could think of; Tortas, Burritos, Cocktail shrimp, Tacos, mini tacos on Tuesdays, Carne asada plate, Quezadillas, Menudo, etc. They offer Traditional breakfast too! First time here. We drove up from San Diego and since the car dealership nearby was re-tinting my window, we decided to get out and wander. Although, I did see some other goodies/specials that my eyes were hungry for, I ordered the machaca torta, but glad I did because....it was SO GOOD! The bread was toasted just enough to not get soggy, the machaca was seasoned and tender, and the lettuce was fresh-tasting. Even better-the hot sauce-spicy and flavorful! Overall, I wish they had authentic-tasting Mexican (food) take-out like this where we live in San Diego....oh well, at least I have a place I can go to now when I come up this way.
