If you're here for a short time and need something altered, please don't come here. I needed a skirt altered an inch, was told two weeks. That's fine, and was happy to try another place. But they insisted it could be done by the next week, 8 days later. Arrived, took them 10 minutes to find my item, only to discover it was still on the pile on the other side of the room. The tailor eyed me up and down as though it was my fault and to seemingly intimidate me. No thank you. So, that was a waste of time and I never got my skirt altered as it was too late to try another place in town. Dishonest service is the worst kind of non-service. DO NOT TAKE YOUR UNIFORM HERE I took my 43R dress blue coat here and they gave me back a 47L. After four visits and endless phone calls the owner/manager continues to avoid me and my wife. He is extremely rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately this happened right before our PCS date. They outsource their dry cleaning so my coat could be anywhere. I have received $0 in reimbursement and can't even get the owner/manager to call me back. It wasn't just me because shortly after my incident another customer brought a 44R that was not his either. Aside from this the Marine Shop employees have endless reports of shrinkage caused by them. read more

I brought two formal dresses to get hemmed and was quoted $200 (already expensive) however, when I get a text saying my dress were complete, I was shocked to see they wanted to charge me $300. WTH. They didn't even call me to give me a chance to pick it up and bring it somewhere else. This is the text they sent me: Originally, alterations were more expensive than the actual price of the dress, so you had to get it altered to fit your body. Then, you should have bought a dress that fit you well. If you bought a dress that fit you perfectly and was the perfect length, you wouldn't need alterations. Never going there again! read more

Dropped my dress uniform off for dry cleaning. Picked it and noticed visible underarm stains and it still smelled like sweat. It looks like they just pressed it and called it a day. Went to the store to request a refund as I could not drop off for recleaning because I needed it that day and also after how poorly it was serviced I lost faith in their ability. The two women looked at it and immediately agreed the shirt was not properly cleaned but said they could not issue a refund without talking to the owner. They seemed scared of him. The manager was rude and told me I needed to give them a chance to redo it. I advised him I already took it to another cleaners and he argues and says that not fair. Then attempts to question where I took my shirt. He preferred to go back and fourth instead of issuing the refund then he finally says he will give a refund but he needed to be present for it to happen. I let him know that after him acting aggressive on the phone I did not feel comfortable and preferred to get it from one of the front desk women he insisted that he needed to see me which felt creepy. Don't go here unless you want poor service they also insist on cash and conveniently have atms that charge a fee to you and allows them to avoid the fees with credit card machines. read more

Not reliable at all in promised turnaround times. Have came in multiple times and my order is still not done, even after being told it would be ready. Their phone doesn't answer so can not call to check if it is done. Also misspelled name on one item and had to be re-done. read more

Jenny's in Quantico had my husbands jacket. He was there THREE TIMES TODAY because it was supposed to be done by 3:30. They were working on it so he visibly saw them doing the work. Then they said he'd have it at 4:30pm. 5:08pm we were there to pick it up and THEY LOST IT. This is unacceptable and it We will not be going back and we will make sure they do replace it. This place looks like trash inside, is not well kept and should be shut down. They have no record of their customers either and weren't remorseful at all. PSA- I know everyone rants and raves about Jenny's in QTown... but it seems like their service has been lacking big time as of late. My husband took a tux shirt before a wedding he was in and they lost ALL of the buttons on the shirt and then said it "wasn't their fault". $50 down the drain (plus cleaning costs) Today, my husband went to go pick up and they ruined one of his Charlie shirts which are about $60 a piece... there are burns and horrible creases, so the shirt is ruined. Again, they say "we didn't do that, not our fault." They shirt was brand new. These two shirts alone were well over $120 that they refuse to replace.... JENNYS, get it together!! Nearly impossible to get them to answer the phone. Probably because of how busy and in demand they are. They fixed my boots when the sole started to peel off. Unfortunately they don't do boot refurbishment. Either way, its best to express your concerns or expectations face to face so that misunderstandings are minimized. read more

Jenny's gets the job done. They offer dry-cleaning, tailoring, sowing name tapes on and off. Jenny's is pretty much the standard for getting uniform tasks done in Quantico. The service is fast, but the people could be more cordial. They are very much so get-the-job-done personalities. I'd recommend going to Jenny's. There are quite a few tailoring and cleaning establishments in Q-Town, just as there must be nearly a dozen barber shops. Nice little town that nearly closes up on the weekends. Little meaning if you stand in the middle on Potomac Ave, you are literally only a block or two from all the businesses. Jenny's - Same day service for alterations, dry cleaning, name tapes, wash-n-fold. On Saturday: I bought a suit at the MCEX and needed to have it tailored for an event the next day. Purchasing the suit a little after noon, I asked my salesperson where I could get same-day alterations. She suggested Jenny's in Q-Town. I took the suit directly to Jenny's. They marked it for alterations and promised to have it ready before they closed for the day. Sure enough, I called ahead and they said it was ready. I stopped by, tried it on and it fit fine! Their rate was a bit pricey, but perhaps not for same day rush service. While there, I saw dozens and dozens of military (Marine) uniforms being tailored by the 4 employees working at the time. Obviously this is one of the better tailoring shops in Q-Town. Cash only. Located about a block from the train station. Curbside parking meters - 25¢ for 30 minutes. read more

Wish I could give more stars! I took eight patches to get Velcro sewn on the back. Most of the patches were round or rectangular but a couple were odd shaped. For eight patches it came out to $35 and Jenny's provided the Velcro, matched the thread color to the patch, and even gave me a 10% discount! The patches were done in a day. Can't ask for much more than that! read more

I've used this company for the past two years. Last year I took my ball gown to Jenny's to be hemmed. There were two layers to the dress - they only hemmed the main layer and left the sheer layer the normal length. I decided to give them a second chance this year, HA! Big mistake. My husband went by to drop off his uniforms for alterations and pick up my dress. IT WAS THE WRONG DRESS! They sent him home with someone else's ball gown! Mine was eventually found, but the alterations weren't complete so it couldn't be picked up. I encourage you to find someone else for your alteration needs! *To add to this earlier post, we went to pick up the dress today (3 days after it was supposed to be ready), and THEY LOST IT! Yep, LOST my ball gown. After waiting an hour, it was finally found. I complained to the owner and expected some kind of apology or credit towards my $111.50 alterations. Nope. I was looking for somewhere open on a Saturday that would sew on a set of new chevrons for a reasonable price and have it ready fast on short notice. This place came through one hundred times what I expected! They told me "immediate" turn-around when I called, and when I showed up with my shirt and chevrons, they took care of it right on spot! The first time I used them for an alteration, they listed the price on the ticket. When I picked up the item, they had written over their copy with a higher price. They told me the work was difficult so it cost more. Of course they didn't call first. The second and last time was also for an alteration. When I tried on the garment, there was clearly an issue with proper fit. They argued with me to why it was right rather than entertaining the possibility that they didn't do a good job and fix it. If you are a civilian, don't even bother going here. I went in to get a patch on my jeans. Since I couldn't find my ticket, she made me wait while she served the military guys behind me. She was kind to them and extra dry when she got to me. I couldn't tell if it was racism or her being angry with the fact that I couldn't find my dry cleaning ticket. Either way, she was rude and did a terrible job with the patch. I had to take it to another tailor to have it done properly. read more

This place has been here for years and don't know why. The lady at from rushes you, cannot get any centering and placement right with jackets. If you correct her she says no your wrong. I asked could she fix it and she says ten dolla .Making up her own regulations hah . when I went to check my uniforms before leaving she quickly tried to nget me to leave, and the other lady didn't speak English or played it off.
