Well, the Pot Rack has it--semisweet, bittersweet, unsweetened, and cocoa powder. They also carry Nielssen-Massey vanilla products, Republic of Tea products, and other excellent food stuffs. Additionally, The Pot a Rack carries cookware, bakeware, cooking utensils, cutlery, and many other cooking related items. Customer service is top-notch. Once I called the place and when no one answered I just hung up. No more than 2 minutes later someone called back, profusely apologizing for missing my call. Once I made it to the store, I was offered a cup of coffee or tea to drink while I browsed. And even though I've always dragged at least one of my kids into the store--which I could see as terrifying for a person who owns or works at a store with plenty of things that could break or hurt a kid--we feel welcomed here. Cute place, lots of excellent food products and cooking supplies, great customer service--The Pot a Rack is not just a gem in Leavenworth but in the whole Kansas City area.

I tell the guy I want the knives sharpened and ready for pickup that afternoon. Simple enough, right? Wrong. He informs me they ship the knives off to New York, and it takes 2-3 weeks. Weeks. Because clearly, these knives must undergo a spiritual journey before they're deemed worthy of being sharp again. I explain they aren't *that* dull and ask if they can just sharpen them in-house. He says they can--oh, but not the serrated knives, can opener, or scissors. Sure, no problem. I'll take those magical items home and entrust him with just the straight edges. Then he drops another gem: they can "touch up" the knives. Fine by me, as long as I get them back in the afternoon. But wait! Plot twist--he suddenly claims it'll take 2-3 *days* because they "have an event." An event? Are the knives the keynote speakers? Because the store was as empty as my patience at that point. I looked around, saw no sign of this mysterious "event," and finally hit my limit. I stormed out, muttering about how I'd apparently wandered into the Theater of the Absurd. Honestly, what a circus.

So we decided to give Maisch a try. They identified a part they thought might be responsible for our issue (I believe it was the choke valve) and replaced it. We got it home and it worked fine that first time out, but two weeks later, when it was time to mow the lawn again, same problem reappeared again! Three attempts to get the problem fixed, and $180 dollars later, I was ready to chuck the mower and buy a new one. But the wife insisted I take it back to Maisch one more time. This time they replaced the carburetor, and did it for free!! Not sure yet if the problem is permanently fixed, but either way, Maisch is definitely the model of excellent customer service. We will trust them with all our future mower repair needs and recommend our friends do the same.
