My friend recommended this neighbourhood korean restaurant for dinner, and i thought I would check it out. The place is decent size. Not many diners were there when we visited. I ordered the pork bone soup as per usual as that is the one dish I use to determine if I will go back again. I am happy to say that the soup was quite good. Came here for a long lunch, there are a lot of seated booths as soon as you enter the place. They had a nice Christmas Tree at the front, bright lighting as well. The pricing for food is actually pretty cheap compared to other locations. Their kimchi is on the sweeter side with a spicy kick. I'll definitely be coming here for this and the kimbap was A LOT! The price was around $10.99. Other places are around that price too but way less. The vegetable tempura was also nice and thin, not too thick. The shrimp was good too. A family Favourite!! We often eat at this Korean Restaurant as it is only a few minutes from our house, and Korean options in the Markham-Bullock-Milne Park area are limited. The food is always great, but the service could use an upgrade. On one of our last visits, the server couldn't or wouldn't answer some of our questions. Our guests, who were with us at the time, purely by accident ordered additional portions of Kimchi with their meal; however, the server did not tell them that Kimchi already comes with the meal. So there we were when our food came with extra servings of Kimchi that we didn't need. I spoke up and told the server that there was a misunderstanding, and that our guest did not mean to order the extra Kimchi, but they refused to take it off our bill. I went back a few days later and spoke to someone who I think was the owner or manager, and told them what had happened on our last visit. They were very apologetic and offered me a free dish. Overall, even with the way we were treated, we have gone back a few times, mostly because my kids love the food there. Our favourites are the Fried Chicken, the Bulgogi Ribs, and some of the noodle dishes. My management advice is to better serve your customers by being able to answer questions from customers clearly, and put more effort into assisting your customers as they keep your restaurant open. read more

Hit or miss. They keep changing the recipes. The table cooked ramen taekbokki used to be really nice. Then they removed all good stuff and filled it with just green peppers. Way to ruin a dish. If they want to change it, they could have just made a new dish, not ruin the original. Mandu is good. And side dishes are also tasty. read more

This quiet little neighborhood gem deserves an updated review since there were only 2 reviews in the last 7 months! This place is situated in the service Ontario plaza on Galsworthy by Hwy 7. Ample parking and easy to locate. The small storefront is deceiving because once you walk in it's actually quite spacious! We went quite early on a Saturday evening - at around 5ish and they only had 1 table of guests at the time. We had two kids with us and they were super friendly with getting us set up with high chairs etc. We ordered the seafood pancake, small fried chicken and bibimbap. We were given a few dishes of appies to start. They also refill at your request! For us the more notable ones were the seaweed, the sweet potato, and the glass noodle (like a mini japchae). Kids loved those last 2. The seafood pancake had a good amount of seafood. The flavour profile is just right. Only complaint is it felt like there was a wee bit too much starch but good nonetheless. The fried chicken felt like there were so many pieces even in the small size. It felt like a lot of food. A bit of a thick coating but very crispy and good flavour. Bibimbap was average. Standard toppings of eggs and meat and veg but nothing to write home about. Service was very good and seating was comfortable. Decent pricing for what you get. Would come back for sure. read more

Stopped by Jeon Ju Hyang Korean BBQ Restaurant for a snack of two orders of delicious Beef Kimbap. The Kimbap was very well made and consisted of a seaweed rice roll with lettuce, carrot, crab meat, and pickled yellow radish sprinkled with sesame seeds. Service was welcoming and friendly. Upbeat music was played in the background. Many takeout orders were being processed for dinner time. Kimbap orders came with a small container of japchae and kimchi. Hate to give such a low rating, but it was a huge disappointment and needs some huge improvements. I hopped in to get take out during lunch and walked straight to the cash/ back area to make an order. There were two people at the counter, the main person standing by the cash was poking away on their phone while the second person saw me but didn't say anything to me. I stood there for a few minutes staring at these two servers before one of them told the other server standing at the cash to help me out. What horrible service I was greeted with right from the start. Even when taking my order they were not friendly at all. I asked about a spicy pork with rice option and they simply pointed to the porki kimchi bulgogi on a hot plate. So I went with their suggestion and also got a pork bone soup. The food arrived really quickly and I left. Once getting home, I looked at the food and take out menu once more.I was quite upset with what they had given me and what they had charged me. There were two options for the pork kimchi bulgogi, one that is NOT on the hot plate ($18.95) and one that IS ON the hot plate ($23.95). It makes no sense that you would charge a take out order the price of the hot plate if they are not dining in and the hot plate would not make a difference in their take out container. So of course they charged me the more expensive option, but failed to present me with the cheaper option when I asked about the dish. The worst part of it all is that the dish was 80% kimchi and 20% pork. It felt like a huge scam. The pork bone soup on the other hand was alright, nothing special and have had better elsewhere. I hate to give such low ratings, but this restaurant needs some improvements not only to their dishes but also with their staff's attitude. It was our first time trying this Korean restaurant. The food was decent but the service was average. Our server was very abrupt and wasn't friendly. The food wasn't hot enough. The restaurant was quite busy for a Saturday night. We ordered bimbim bap, Korean ribs, pork bone soup and udon noodles with beef along with 3lb of fried chicken. It was an okay experience overall. We came on a weds night around 7pm and there wasn't many tables. We were promptly seated and given the menu. We ordered the gamgatang, duk bulgogi and tteokbbokki. The gamgatang tasted great portion was pretty big. Soup was delicious and we were given 4 pieces of big pork bones. The duk bulgogi was good as well, big pieces of meat and thick and soup base again was tasty. Tteokbokkki was good and bigger pieces than most Korean restaurants and you can let them know how spicy you want it to be! I haven't come here for awhile, and prices went up so much! $24 for lunch combo, they still give you 5 banchan but only let you refill 3, maybe they don't want you to waste food. This Korean restaurant is a monopoly in this area and sad it can't maintain the quality as it first launch a year ago. Tteokbokki - Tasty spicy sugariness, but the quantity on the pictures vs the actual dish was noticeably smaller (about 2/3 of the size on the menu). None the less would get it again. Been here a few times and each time the restaurant is a bit on the empty side but they do quite a lot of takeout orders. They have a nice kpop playlist and music videos playing in the background. Overall the staff are rather aloof and unsmiling and not very communicative. It was the same serving staff each time I have been here. On weekdays there is a promotion for shared stews/pots (20% off). We got the budae army stew and it came out fairly quickly. The cooking stove ran out of gas midway but we alerted the staff and they changed it right away. They also have a soup stew combo where you can get a choice of stew and a fried or cooked fish option for a set price. I tried the kimchi pork tofu stew with fried Caplin. Overall the stews here are very strong and flavourful and definitely on the salty side. Had to drink a lot of water afterwards. I was so excited to try this new location as I have been a long time customer of their location at Bamburgh Circle. The banchan (small, free side dishes that is always served for each table whenever you place an order) was fresh and tasted exactly like the other location. So far so good! I ordered their gamjatang with ramen noodles (this is the only dish I order when I come to this franchise) and my hubby ordered deep fried chicken with sweet & sour spicy sauce. We also order a shrimp kimbab to share. I was a bit disappointed with my ramen gamjatang. The ramen came overdone so was already soft & got softer through my meal. The two pieces of pork bone I got had very little meat on it. It was the first time that I did not finish my dinner. I did share with them about the ramen texture as it is such a minor error & I want this location to survive. The pork bone was just likely the part of the pig I got so no biggie. My hubby's chicken was lightly battered & delicious and I found the kimbab to be just okay. This place is a fast favourite for takeout & delivery for me. What a great addition to the Korean food scene in east Markham. Their food continues to impress me even after making the delivery journey and not being freshly eaten on premise. I absolutely love their Fried Chicken, which is perfectly crispy and juicy. For mains, I either go with the Kimbap if I'm not feeling like a big meal or a Gamjatang during those cold days. Both are quite tasty and hit the spot. The best part is the UberEats deals. They often do free with purchase and it's not insignificant things like an extra side of sauce or something. Last few times, it was a whole Bibimbap! And even though I'm sure there is premium pricing through UE, their prices aren't outrageously upcharged. With the free Bibimbap and occasional promos, it makes JeonJuHyang a real steal. Sidenote, they're also really careful with their packaging. My Gamjatang is always double sealed with a layer of plastic wrap UNDER the lid to make sure all the spicy goodness stays trapped during its journey. Thanks for the extra care! read more

Been to the bamburgh circle location and had no clue this was the same restaurant but much closer too my house. Came around 9pm and they were super accommodating because they close at 9:30pm. Ordered the Seafood Soon tofu and it was great! It was piping hot when it came out and I also ordered the Beef kimbap and it was sooooo good! Hit the spot! I will need to try their other kimbap next time, in addition to the pork bone soup! Also side dishes, especially the kimchi was on point! Rating: 2.5/5 stars I was excited to see another Korean restaurant open up near home. While I'm not usually a fan of franchise chains, I decided to give it a try given the recent positive reviews. We came late Thursday evening and this place was busy. We were given hand gestures to take a seat at one of the booth tables and the menus were dropped off to us with no acknowledgement. I didn't take this personally as there were only two waitresses working and they were running around non-stop. I ordered the Gamjatang (my favourite and usual whenever I go to Korean restaurants) and hubby ordered the beef Bibimbap. I was disappointed that they ran out of some of the side dishes such as potatoes and jap chae. The cutlery provided at the table hasn't been refilled and only had one spoon. My gamjatang arrived within 5 minutes. While this may sound like a 'Karen', the first thing I noticed immediately was the soup - it wasn't boiling hot and instead it was warm. Felt like it was sitting out for a bit. I was going to ask for a remake, however they looked so busy and I was hangry. Hubby's Bibimbap on the other hand was alright. On a positive note, portions are good and reasonable prices. Given its their grand opening, I would like to give them a second chance and hopefully I'll be able to do an updated positive review. In the meantime, I truly hope they can improve their overall quality and service. read more

Came here for a weekend early lunch. It was not super busy and tables were available. I've been coming to this plaza for ages and it was nice to see some Asian representation. As for the food, I enjoyed it for the most part. We ordered the bulgogi and glass noodle soup with rice. It came with 5 side dishes. The flavors are pretty bold for this dish. It came with loads of beef, onions, and broth. Then we also ordered a bibimbap. My partner said that there was so much food, he got his moneys worth! This was exactly how I felt as well for my soup. Overall, the food was pretty good and as expected. Nothing really stood out but I did enjoy their side dishes. Their glazed potatoes are sweet and soft. Its soft enough that the potato just dissolves in your mouth (crazy!). I had to deduct a star because they said we could only get a refill on 3 of the 5 side dishes and the restaurant is priced on the more expensive side. read more

One of the sides they gave us (kimchi) tasted like it was fermenting for way too long that it was sour. The beef gimbap had no flavour and was so dry. I used to come here for lunch and dinner with my family. The service and food were very good. But This time, something really disappointing me. The food was still good, but the attitude was really bad. My child was hungry and wanted more small dishes. They refused to offer just one small side dishes, Fine, four of us (2 adult and 2kids) ordered a total of 90 dollars food, just ask for one more side dishes which my child really like and you refused. I've been here so many times in the past year. I have noticed a dramatic difference in the past 4 months or so. This time was the worst. Portion sizes were insanely small, we got 1 small side dish for the whole order of 4 dishes. The pork bone soup was instant noodles broth with a little bones in it. No meat. The restaurant has a Grand Opening banner on the window when we passed by the plaza looking for lunch. We were greeted by some friendly waitresses with plates of kimchi. The food came fast and all tasted great, with the chicken in garlic sauce our favorite. The waitress offered us kimchi refilled without being asked. Apprenently it's really hard for their lazy employees to clean the table after we order food from them .. we started eating food in this restaurant when it wasn't even busy and they want us to leave the restaurant and eat somewhere else coz we order takeout in a very rude way and when asked about why can't we sit here she reply that it's hard for her to clean afterwards ... just move ur ass bitch u getting paid for it.. ive been eating at this place long time and after being treated like this is going to be the last one ...i hope someone in the management take action about this so someone else dont feel embarrassed after ordering from this place. read more
