I've been going to this place for a long time. While the location may have changed, the heart is still there. Way better than other stores at the mall that sell you garbage, it's run by skaters for skaters. My mom used to buy my Christmas gifts from Jeric's when they were on Jefferson. I remember she told me "I was nervous to go in there, because I don't know!" That Christmas I got a Toy Machine sweatshirt and an awesome Shorty's board holder backpack. Jeric's is what small business is all about. Some background - I hate yelp. It's the worst. But, I know every once in awhile a normal person looks to it for guidance, so I created an account to give this place some points. It's important to keep these places around. I'm 30. About two months ago, I decided I was going to get back into skating. I know, I get it. Cut it out. That's the point. Jeric's didn't make me feel like the millennial stereotype that I most certainly am. First time I went in, I brought my old board from when I was 13. The owner, whose name is escaping me (my fault, not his - he told me), looked at it, and gave me a fair assessment. The deck and bearings were garbage. The trucks and wheels worked. Use them, he said, come back and update the rest later, if you want. THANK YOU! I fell in love with skating. I'm beyond terrible, but that's not the point. It keeps me in shape, and it's a totally harmless, victimless outlet to direct pent up aggression ("Why. Can't. I. KEEP MY. SHOULDERS STRAIGHT!?!?!"). I went back today to replace those 17 year old trucks and wheels. NEW TECHNOLOGY. Now, I can't blame a 4-inch ollie on my gear. The owner went through the positives and negatives of each brand, size, hardness, weight, etc. I got a full-on seminar. Not one hint of the, "get f*cked, poser," i probably deserve. This guy either loves his job, is very good at it, or deserves an oscar. Probably a combination of all three. After I was all set up, he says, "let me see your ollie." I show him my first god-awful, not-warmed-up attempt. From there, I pretty much got a lesson. Guy spent about about 30 minutes giving me little tips and constructively pointing out what I was/am doing wrong. This is what customer service is missing. I live in NYC. They have about 100 Zumiez within a 30 mile radius. But, I'll wait until I visit my family, and buy gear at Jeric's. Thanks. read more

My son has recently found skateboarding and this shop has it all. The staff has gone out of their way each time we've gone to make sure he gets what he needs. My son built his first board with the help of a Jeric's employee. He let him do the work and explained everything that needed to be done and in what order. My son was so excited and happy with the board he built. I have sent other families there and they all have had great experiences. I do not think we need to look for any other Skateboard shops, we will be loyal to this awesome company. read more

i love coming here for gear, and the owner is always super chill and insightful although i have recently found that i don't like going when he isn't there or at least when this specific worker is there. fyi if you aren't completely sure about something don't sell it to a customer. I went in looking for new wheels and full faith in the shop since it never lets me down, i listened to what the guy had to say and he convinced me that i would need different trucks to fit, im on a tight budget but i really wanted to replace my wheels so i said fine my total came to $70 something when it should have been closer to $30 since when i was setting up the board i noticed that my expensive trucks were the same size as these cheap trucks i was told to buy. i'll still continue coming but if you see me walk out when that worker is there don't be surprised. read more

This is the coolest shop around for miles! The owner Tom is a very honest and genuine guy who runs a very family friendly shop. I have been shopping at Jeric's for 13 years now and am always getting my skateboard gear at nearly the same price as the big corporation shops. The regular Jeric's decks are very durable and cost effective if you are on a budget, otherwise Tom is very cool about getting more specialty items. Jeric's is the best! Although, I honestly didn't want to buy from the website at first I'm glad I did. The only reason it seemed fishy too me is because it had no reviews on the internet, but after seeing videos on youtube that its an actual store with actual people and it also had an Instagram I went right on ahead and ordered. The owner himself is very sweet, he accommodated a special order for me since I live all the way in San Jose,CA. I told him what clothes I was looking for and he got back to me right away with the prices. Another plus, he used tracking when he sent the package and it got to me pretty fast within 2-3 business days! He also contacted me after to see if they had arrived, that to me was very thoughtful! I'm happy to say I will be ordering from here in the future and it's all because of their great customer service!
