I contacted two independent agents and one brand-name insurance company. I was shocked at the price range for the same coverage. Jason Brofford at Detweiller-Brofford Insurance checked with different companies to get us the best deal, and the insurance he found for us was $1000 cheaper. We accepted pretty quickly! Every year when it's time to renew, Jason again looks around to find us the lowest price for coverage. This year, our policies are with Erie Insurance, top-rated for homeowners Insurance in the August 2017 issue of Consumer Reports magazine. In addition to saving us money big time, we've been happy with Detweiller's customer service. Emails are answered promptly and a human being picks up the phone. In addition, she has demonstrated a concerning lack of knowledge regarding the handling of auto insurance claims. As the innocent party who was hit by one of your insured drivers, I have been requesting a comparable rental vehicle while my SUV is being repaired. I rely on an SUV for both my work responsibilities and to transport an elderly family member who is unable to safely enter and exit a sedan. Despite these legitimate needs and the fact that Grange's insured is at fault, Julia has refused to provide an appropriate rental vehicle for my loss of use. I have also repeatedly requested to speak with her supervisor, but those requests have gone unanswered. This lack of responsiveness is unacceptable. Furthermore, the vehicle estimator advised me that my SUV should not be driven due to the extent of the damage. Yet because of Julia's refusal to respond and her failure to properly handle this claim, I have been left without a reasonable solution. Based on this experience, I would never choose your company for my own insurance needs, nor would I recommend it to others. I strongly believe Julia would benefit from additional training in both customer service and claims handling. If this matter is not addressed promptly, I will have no choice but to involve legal counsel to protect my interests.

I emailed about eight different agencies requesting for a quote - Betterflood, Neptuneflood, Californiafloodinsurance, Floodsimple, Franklinflood, Privatemarketflood, Bankersinsurance, Homeandflood. All these agencies were prompt in their response. Some agencies offered an an outright high quote. Four of the agencies (including Tim's) offered the same price (for similar coverage), but everyone except Tim added a hefty 'Agency Fee' to the quote (i.e. Agency fee of about a $200 to $300 for on quote of $900). I subsequently called and spoke to Tim. I found him to be honest, and to the point (highlight: absence of upselling). Tim is also prompt (both over email and phone) and is good with following up with your bank. Highly recommended!
