Something was wrong with the coolant temperature sensor maybe idk... the car said it was under 100 degrees and I know that is definitely not good.I'm just the girlfriend sitting in the warm car. My bf and this guy are working together. He is running back and forth from the front engine to the store! I'm not sure if this in his job description but he's literally hands on helping out! We decided at the spur of the moment to take our vehicle on a short road trip over the mountains for the first time since we bought it a year ago. Nearly an hour away from Leavenworth, our check engine light came on, much to our dismay. We pulled into the first auto parts store we saw and it turned out to be super lucky for us. The three gentleman working today have been beyond accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. They went above and beyond the normal protocol of good customer service steps, giving my husband advice about our vehicle and even lending us a tool for free numerous times. I wish we had people service this great closer to home, but we may make it a tradition to stop at Jerry's and buy whatever little thing we might need, just because. I am so thankful for Jerry's! Very friendly guys, knowledgeable, and they went way above and beyond to provide the best care to a complete stranger! My car got towed into town after my power steering went out coming down the pass. It was a Saturday and every auto repair shop was closed until Monday. Luckily for me I got towed in right next store to Jerry's! I found out my serpentine belt shredded and I was in need of a new one and some tools to throw it on. One of the guys inside (sorry I forgot the name) told me he could help me put it on and give my engine a once over to make sure it was safe. He stayed after they had closed to get up under my car and help me get my belt back on. Once we got it all set and ready... car wouldn't start, dead battery. He gladly went back inside and grabbed a battery to give me a jump. Then told me to drive it next store so he could run a test to see how the alternator was firing. Everything checked out and we were on our way! The belt cost $20 and he took time after he was already off work to help me. Expert mechanical work and top-notch customer service! My husband and I were on a camping/hiking vacation in early June, when our Tahoe overheated halfway up the mountain to hike Colchuck. After two hours of coasting down the mountain on neutral and pulling over to the side of the road to allow the engine to cool down, we finally made it to NAPA. We could not have asked for better customer service. After my husband's unsuccessful attempts at removing the piece that had broken from the hose, Colton (the NAPA employee working at the front counter) came out to lend a hand. Colton was not only knowledgeable, but extremely helpful. He spent over an hour and a half trying to help remove the broken piece. The temperature was over 90 degrees, yet Colton stayed outside under the hood of the car trying to help us. Through the efforts of Colton, a knowledgeable mechanic next door, and a wonderful customer, they were able to remove the broken piece and install a new hose. They stayed with us as the coolant was filled and the RPMs tested. They had us test drive the Tahoe before letting us loose. Once everything looked good, they told us to let them know if we needed any further assistance. We truly appreciate Colton going above and beyond what was expected as an employee. He was our saving grace that day and we are forever grateful! read more

So... I have a snowblower, it wasn't starting. Been running great for 6 yrs. I take it to Jerry's/Valley Saw. Say they fixed it... carburetor was clogged. $100 done. Ok... so I take it home, it snows.. I start it up.. and it's surging and spewing alot of smoke. Take it back in... explain we just had it "fixed"... Sorry, Carb is clogged.. ethanol gas. Um, you guys filled the gas tank when you fixed it. Another $100. They refused to give any credit even though they failed to fix the problem the first time. I would have been fine with even $50... But no, another $100. i was more or less accused of mucking it up again in the 2 weeks I had it. So, this time...take it home.. get it out of truck.. Start it up, motor sounds fine.. but now right side auger isn't turning. WTF! Not to mention, there is an oil stain underneath the motor in the back of the truck (luckily I put a piece of plywood down). Needless to say, I did not go back. I took it to another place an hour away in Wenatchee and opted to start over. So far.. they have found that, yes.. the carb is clogged. DOH! A couple other things to note about this place. 1. I brought a chainsaw in to get sharpened... Saw a price on the wall for chain saw sharpening, $12... when I checked out to leave, it was $20.. why? Oh, we raised the price.. and you didn't take the chain off the saw, so that's $5 extra. and the Manwoman behind the counter needs an attitude adjustment.. (and a makeover). Always a growl and unfriendly. I am new in town, and thought this would be the best place. I should have checked out with people, as I'm finding out too late, that this place is known for ripping people off and shotty work. read more

Jerry was a nice man who boosted our driving experience by replacing our windshield wipers. The service was quick and painless.

Last Year I would have given Jerry's 4 or 5 stars, but they have changed their values. It used to be that I could bring in my snowblower every year for annual maintenance or for repair if needed, though it has never been needed. They would come and pick it up and deliver it when it was finished. Now, because my snowblower is not one of the brands they sell, they refuse to work on it. And since they are the only company in Leavenworth that works on snowblowers, that leaves me in a real bind. I do not have a large truck or a trailer to take it to Wenatchee, and so far have not found a company that will come up to get it. This basically forces me to buy a snowblower from Jerry's if I ever want service. And I believe that is exactly their intent. They have every right to do this if course, but it goes against the values of our village. As a result, I will no longer do any business with them. And I will definitely will not buy my next snowblower from them (I was originally planning to buy my next one from them). Even if it means in the future having to pay someone to haul it back and forth to Wenatchee. Jerry, you have lost a long time customer. read more

Bad experience 11/20/15 when I returned an Autosock, sold to me as tire chains for $92. on 11/5/15.; the clerk was friendly and showed me a video of a woman putting it on her tire, even went out to my car and showed me the size of my tire and how it matched the size on the package, and it was lucky he had the right size in the store that day. Reading online several days later I saw that is it not a tire chain but a fabric of sorts that easily tears and gets holes in it when used. The clerk only refunded to me $81, and suddenly a strange tall man appeared behind me and began insisting that I had asked them to get another one from Spokane, since they didn't have the right size for my car and that they charge $10 to ship it and that I have come back on a later day to pick it up, both of which are NOT TRUE! I insisted over and over to him that that was not true, that he was mixed up or lying. After more than ten minutes of his continuing to say this louder and louder and more intimidatingly, I mentioned that I still needed a flashlight for the car. He showed me one that cost $30 and said that he would refund the ten dollars shipping fee to me by selling the flashlight to me for $20, which he did. I wonder if he would have talked differently if I were not a Senior and a woman, but I won't know because I'm not going back in that store. They should give me back another ten dollars for the bogus fee the put on my bill. Please be aware and cautious if you shop there. I noticed today there is a NAPA store two blocks away. read more
