There is free street parking right in front of the restaurant. This location has a cute patio out front. When you walk in there is a diner feel but lots of seating and a counter for seating options. The service was quick and while not overly friendly, was efficient. There were definitely regulars which I always like to see. The food was good. I liked the kielbasa, it was a good choice. I've been coming here since I worked in Whitehouse Station 15 years ago. I've only been here for lunch. Recently, I moved into the area and decided to see if it was still as good as I remembered. I stopped in and ordered a cheesesteak. The portion size was perfect to fill me up. My second time after moving nearby was with my wife. We chose to dine in. I ordered a cheeseburger and my wife ordered a wrap. She was very happy with her first time in Jerry's. The waitress we had was very friendly. It was very quiet on a Saturday afternoon. I've been coming here with my parents for so long now and it's just so a wonderfully classic place to grab breakfast or lunch. I've gotten everything from tuna wraps to veggie paninis to lentil soup and I'm never disappointed. When you walk in, someone from the incredibly sweet and friendly wait staff will greet you and get you a table or a seat at the bar. You'll also be able to browse their small-ish market for pastas, olive oils, etc. And all the while Frank Sinatra is probably going to be playing the in the background. I really recommend their wraps because I've never had one I didn't love. I even had one of their salads from their specials menu turned into a sandwich and it was incredible. So great food, kind team, very cool old building, Sinatra playing, AND they have great coffee. What else can you ask for? As for their location, there isn't too much else happening in town, but they are worth checking out. What a treat to be back at Jerry's Brooklyn Grill nearly after 4 years. Not much changed in terms of quality of the food (best corn beef hash), friendly service and the cool air about Jerry himself that makes you feel like you know him from the movies. Menu has the richness of a diner food but it looks like there are some new items on the menu that sounds mouth watering and interesting beyond diner food. Additionally, they decided to torture us with a lot of sweet treats directly from Italy. You will regret buying and eating half of the cookies with Nutella or regret not buying them. Lose lose scenario in a best possible way. I highly recommend a trip to Whitehouse Station. There is ample parking at the back. Enjoy this one of a kind eatery! read more

If you've driven by but haven't stopped in yet to try Jerry's Brooklyn Grill, run, don't walk! Jerry's holds a special place in our hearts. It's where we would walk to breakfast with our kids for many years when we lived in town before moving out of state for several years. We recently visited for the first time since moving back and we're so happy that much is still the same and that you will still find Jerry behind the counter. The staff is just as friendly and competent as they were before. The food is delicious here. Our absolute favorite is the home style corned beef hash with eggs and that's what we ordered on our recent visit. It is 10x better than the stuff that comes from a can. We paired that with banana walnut pancakes to share. Delicious. The inside is charming and larger than you'd imagine from the outside. There is plenty of parking in the back and you can enter the restaurant through the door from the parking lot. I can't wait to make Jerry's a regular spot again. read more

My wife and I eat here quite often for breakfast and we both agree the food and the coffee is pretty good. She really likes the coffee and she is really picky about that stuff. The atmosphere of the place is great... you'll see lots of old pictures on the wall of Brooklyn (many of the bridge being built) and the decor is really nice. This is a place where all the locals come and eat and it's funny how people from all walks of life eat here. I've seen a couple of previous mayors eat here, lawyers, business owners, as well as plumbers and electricians. You don't normally see a place that caters like that to everyone but it's good food and the place is pretty welcoming to everyone. It's like "Cheers" but for breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and they take care of you really well. My wife has left her prescription eyedrops there a couple of times and they know to hold onto it for me when I come back and get it. When you look at the place from the outside it looks small but the inside is much bigger. I've never had to wait for a seat but we've had times where there was only one table left in the place. There is always the bar area to eat at as well if you can't find a table though sometimes that is more filled up than the tables. The other thing to note is they have a really big selection... they have a menu that has a good number of items on it but then when you look up at the chalkboard it's loaded with even more.... then there is the daily whiteboard with the specials (all named after the workers who work there... it's a funny place). They also have a wide variety of drinks... oh and they have different Italian foods (dried pastas, Italian fruit flavored sodas, etc) along the wall for sale. You could go in there for breakfast or lunch and end up buying your dinner if you aren't careful. read more

Great little place! Very friendly staff and delicious food. Breakfast menu is only served until 11:30 on weekdays but available all day on weekends. All good!! Their fries are thick cut and perfectly cooked. They even have sweet potato fries. Today I had a Sloppy Turkey Wrap. I almost asked for extra dressing, since most places don't put enough on. No need here. It was perfect! I actually prefer it without the Swiss cheese, but that's just my personal preference. My mother had the turkey club. Huge! Messy but good. I, too, have passed this place for years but have never stopped. My husband discovered it last summer and wouldn't stop raving about it. We finally went together on a Sunday morning last fall. I had one of their breakfast specials, huevos rancheros. I wasn't impressed; it was very bland. I've definitely had better. Their drink selection was weak and lacking. Fast forward to last week: my husband and I met there for lunch. The "waitress" greeted him but not me. I asked for a cheddar burger with grilled onions, a slight variation of one of their burger specials. I even repeated it to make sure it wouldn't be a problem. She said yes. When we picked up our order---no onions. My burger was mediocre at best, as I was told they make "awesome" burgers. (Five Guys is better) The fries were ok, but if I had known I wouldn't be getting grilled onions, I would've ordered onion rings. To sum up: street parking is difficult, small lot in back. It gets very crowded, it's self-service, large extensive menu on the blackboards, the chef is friendly, if you want take-out there's a $20 minimum. read more

My in-laws (who are locals) love this place so they took my hubby and I for brunch here before our afternoon flight back to CA. Super friendly people and good food. I let our server know (wish I remember her name, she was wonderful) that the women's restroom was out of toilet paper and she let me know within 2 minutes that that was no longer an issue. I've had places taken more than 20 minutes to refill the toilet paper after I let them know, and they would never go out of their way to let me know it was taken care of. My stepfather-in-law love the hollandaise sauce here (saying it's the best) so he'll always order the eggs benedict with regular bacon instead of Canadian. The menu says Canadian bacon or smoked salmon, but they're more than happy to accommodate any off menu requests, it seems. My mother-in-law loves their pancakes, especially since they don't sit like a brick in your stomach afterwards. Hubby got the pancake tower and enjoyed the layering of bacon in between the pancakes (he also made an off menu request for all bacon instead of bacon and ham). The pancake syrup is the corn syrup based "Breakfast Syrup" in prepackaged containers, so no real maple syrup (not sure if they do offer it though, since no one at our table asked for it). My breakfast sandwich of eggs, lettuce, tomatoes, and pork roll was enormous, especially for $5! Great deal all around. The prices overall, from perusing the menu, are very reasonable, especially given the portions. Happy to come here again whenever we're in NJ :) read more

This past Sunday we were treated to one of the rudest and insulting experiences I can remember. The servers were friendly, as usual, but unfortunately have to work for that cheap, mean, condescending, old guy who runs the credit card machine behind the counter. Apparently he had somewhere else to be and felt strongly enough it shouldn't take me more than three seconds to write in the tip amount on the receipt. He just couldn't keep his mouth shut. His wise crack is anything but wise, as now our regular Sunday afternoon meal will be somewhere else. I'm sure there's another restaurant in town that will be happy to have our business every Sunday. Very surprising considering the situation small businesses have been in during the pandemic. Looks like the Brooklyn attitude comes along with the name. First time I went here, me and my boyfriend were looking for a quick bite before I had to go to work in the afternoon, we pulled on the door and found it was closed. As we turned to walk away, Jerry, the owner peeked his head out and we apologized and said we were looking for a place to eat and he opened up his doors and his kitchen after everything was closed just for us and made us a great meal. This little place is so easy to miss driving through the Whitehouse area. I am so happy a friend pointed it out to me though! Parking is in the back and you actually enter through the back door, past the kitchen to the front of the restaurant to place your order. I absolutely love the way it's set up inside. Little tables and chairs, a glass case filled with sweet goodies to look at, and a large blackboard with the menu neatly written out right in front of you. Drinks, coffee, napkins etc are all in easy reach for your own convenience to grab while you wait for your food. I like going right up to the counter and ordering, then they call your name when your meal is ready and you just grab it and eat. I recommend their panini or hot sandwiches here. My favorite so far is one that consists of chicken breast, arugula lettuce, fresh mozzarella, and a balsamic dressing, all neatly piled in between two pieces of crunchy, toasted bread. Absolutely delicious! Served with a side of cole slaw and pickles. My boyfriend tried a BBQ sandwich with chicken, turkey, and cheese and said it was great. Jerry's Brooklyn was allright. The place was packed when I went there, which explains why the service was so slow. I asked the lady if she could make me a burger that wasn't on the menu. She said yes, which was very nice of her. However, the burger was lacking. I ordered a portabella burger with all the fixings but there was no great taste to the burger. It was very soggy and there was an unpleasant bitter vinegary taste from the dressing. For 12 bucks, that was a total ripoff. I am only giving this place 2 stars bc of the cleaniness of the place, decor, and that accommendating lady. read more
