I called toward the end of the day for an order of beef empanadas. Upon arrival, the lady at the register was very welcoming, I had to wait a little as they had to fry them. I'm not sure if they are fried upon order or this was because I came in towards the end of business hours however they were well flavored. A little different than the empanadas I'm used to however still quite tasty. They also offered me an option for a mild or hot sauce along with it. They have a variety of dish to offer and the establishment is very clean.

Super low key diner vibes with tasty and affordable food for the whole family, you order at the counter and they bring it to your table or get it to go! Fast casual breakfast for on the go people! Highly recommend!

I visited S&P during lunch on a whim. The layout is easy to navigate once you're inside and there are plenty of tables for you to sit at to dine-in. The menu has a nice variety of breakfast and lunch items including sandwiches, wraps, burgers, burritos, etc. While there are plenty of vegetarian options to choose from, I instead opted for an order of rice and beans for my gluten-free meal. Now, let me say that we should never underestimate the beautiful simplicity of a well-seasoned dish of rice and beans--S&P is a prime example of what a hearty plate of carbs should taste like. Flavorful, filling, and cozy, this dish was an excellent choice and one I will definitely get again when venturing out.

New owners, new menus with a Latin flare! Sometime ago this was a deli owned by someone else, and it was not good. They have not advertised that this is completely different then the past. (sorry I do not know when it changed owners). In any case, I really like this place. They have really good traditional and Latin breakfasts. I've had omelets and sandwiches, each was as good or better then anywhere else in the area. Tacos and burrito for lunch were also very good. I want to try their lunch buffet that changes daily and always looks good. It looks like everything is homemade and fresh. Friendly, personable service. A small dinning area, but comfortable. A nice place inside. Give them a try, I think you'll be glad you did! ( I think Amy's Bistro and Grandma's are the same owners)

They charge you .25 cents on debit card purchases under $10 which I didn't like. I thought I got overcharged.

Unfortunately, upon entering the restaurant it took a bit longer than you'd expect for someone to notice or acknowledge us waiting. Once we were seated, it took an additional 20 minutes for someone to finally ask us if we wanted drinks or were ready to order. After that, it took more than 30 minutes to actually get our food. During all of this, no one checked on us, no one refilled waters, or paid us any mind at all. It does seem the staff does treat its regulars well as they are often seen spending a lot of time chatting with clientele. However, this does seem to be at the detriment of the other customers who seem to go overlooked. Nearly an hour after arrival we got our food and it saved the day for this review. The food here is consistently fantastic. However, just because of how long service was taking, we only got entrees and didn't want to risk spending even longer on appetizers and desserts. So, for my meal, I got the crab stuffed salmon. The flavor was excellent though the salmon itself was ever-so-slightly overdone. It sat atop a large bed of (almost too much) risotto. The crab flavor complimented and paired very nicely with the salmon. The restaurant does charge 3.5% for credit card transactions which seems high (especially since NJ state law prohibits businesses from charging more the credit card companies charge them). This is a difficult rating to give, because the service is so lackluster that I normally would give a much lower score, but the quality of the food definitely offsets it. I'd recommend it if you have a lot to talk about with the group you're eating with, and if you don't have any plans afterwards.

My only issue were the wait times. After being seated, it took about 25 minutes to have our order taken, then at least another 30 to get our food. No one refilled our waters. After finishing our meals and asking for the check it took maybe 15 or so to get the bill, another 15 for the guy to take the bill, and another 15 to get our change (we paid cash bc they charge 3.5% for credit cards, which is more than the approximately ~2.6% on average that the restaurant would be charged from most credit card companies). Overall a good restaurant, but plan to spend most of your evening here due to the various wait times
