Great little hole in the wall off 202 for breakfast. You can easily drive by but make sure you don't miss the turn, or yiu will miss a great fresh breakfast. The breakfast platters are great, cooked to order, fresh, delicious with home fries and whatever bread you like. One of the few places that puts foil on the bottom of the container and puts your food on top, make a difference, thank you. They have an attached room with some tables so I try to sit and enjoy a hot fresh breakfast indoors if possible. Lots of parking out front as well. I haven't tried the sweets yet but man it's tempting, they bake like Champs on premise, lots of nice options. Highly recommend coming in for a great breakfast! read more

I've been to jennies a couple of times now and I have to say I'm very impressed. I had the protein pancakes and my gf had the protein waffles and they were both very good. This must've been one of the worst places I've eaten in my life. We walked in and no one even greeted us or made eye contact. We didn't feel comfortable in the least. We should have walked out, lesson learned! No one even approached us to take our order, and they seemed like they didn't care that we were there. At least five people in the kitchen and no one is greeting customers. Keep in mind, this is a cafe! When someone finally took our order, they didn't even put my daughter's muffin on a plate, and she had to eat it off a napkin! The egg sandwiches we bought were pathetic to say the least. They put one skimpy piece of egg and cheese on this roll, and I had to transfer the egg and cheese to one roll so that I could actually taste something. On top of this, no one offered us drinks, and we had to ask for water after we were served our lackluster food. We are all thoroughly disappointed, and I hope no one else has to suffer this nightmare of a cafe. read more

Tell you what... maybe 3 stars is a wee bit harsh here, but I'm not feeling 4 stars either. The layout is nice. The kitchen is completely open to view, which I love. But I don't love when "Grumpy" is the one who greets me when I walk in. Blech... what a way to start the day. I asked for one of the specials (displays were on the tables) and was told that those are yesterday's specials. I get that a restaurant is a busy business with a billion things to do... I've done it myself. But y'know... change those things out with new specials when you clean tables in the morning (presuming you do). I got a Papi Wrap. It's delicious, and was served quickly, but it's some very hot stuff from the grill wrapped in a flour tortilla that just came out of the refrigerator. Yikes. It's my feeling that I either came at an "off" moment, or that this place has the potential to be absolutely spectacular if given the right discipline. At this moment, Jenny's Cafe fetches 4-1/2 stars on yelp. The thought crosses my mind that maybe there is a lesser expectation in these parts because we're not in the big city. Jenni's is a go to breakfast spot whenever I'm in the area. My boyfriend and I will always call for pick up or even delivery and are rarely disappointed. We've dined in once, so I get what other yelpers are saying about not receiving service right away. However, we didn't think it was that much of an issue when we went. It's a cute little cafe with great breakfast and lunch options - they also have good healthy selections which I love! Can't deny the great food, but customer service/ communication needs a fine tuning. Past 2 times we have ordered we have asked for an extra order or bacon but it never arrives with the order. It ends up getting refunded, but it would be nice to just receive the item we ordered. During our most recent order we realized that we only had a $100 bill to use as payment. We promptly called Jenni's to explain the situation and were assured the driver would have enough change to break the bill. When the food arrived my fiancée pulled out the bill and the driver looked dumbfounded. Luckily we managed to break the bill inside the house and brought our food inside to enjoy, minus the bacon we ordered and were expecting. Like I said the great food is undeniable, but these little blips in service are starting to get annoying as they happen every time we order it seems. read more

Jenni's is a sweet little spot I would have missed were it not for Yelp reviews. Set in a tiny strip mall, it's the kind of homey diner/ coffee shop/ cafe the area needs. Entrance is into the open kitchen and dinette area where you can opt to sit at the counter. A second room further along presents more tables for four (that can be easily moved around for larger groups). You can choose full table service, or order at the counter and have them bring food to you while you dine in. I had a simple but classic egg and cheese sandwich on toasted rye. It was perfectly done with salt and pepper, and at the very affordable price any NY/NJ tri-state area inhabitant has come to expect. The group didn't mind my lingering for a few hours to work. A few outlets along the wall are convenient. Some sparse wall hangings try to warm the feel of a white walled establishment. I think a few more years of chotskies will help create a better developed vibe for the place. For now it just seems new, clean and clear (not a bad thing at all). If I'm driving past and need a diner breakfast or lunch I'd come again. read more

Update: ordered online and delivered on time and still hot and delicious. Got tots with my order this time and they put foil around to try and keep from getting soggy which I appreciate! We always order Jenni's for delivery and have never had a disappointing meal. My favorite by far has to be the sandwich "The Jenni" turkey lunch meat, Swiss cheese, hot sauce and coleslaw. On a poppy seed bun. So freakin good and I sometime don't want to stray from ordering it but I have gotten several breakfast items. Huge plain pancakes that last for three meals. Corn beef hash is such a big portion and crispy in too and smooth and potatoey on the bottom. And only once have I gotten pork roll a little too burnt to enjoy. Eggs great, breakfast sandwiches great, and fries/hash browns/sweet potato fries awesome. I wish they had a larger selection of novelty soda so far just diet and regular root beer but they do have bottled and canned name brands in a greater variety. Maybe one day I'll actually get to eat at Jennis but if I don't I'll just keep ordering delivery with my coworkers! read more

Best breakfast / lunch spot in the area! We mostly do takeout from here but delivery has also been very fast. The staff here are always super friendly, efficient and accommodating. Our favorites are the protein pancakes and waffles but their lunch options are delicious as well. They always have creative menu selections, especially when it comes to their sandwiches. Loved this little hidden gem! Had an early morning & time to kill so Google'ed for a place to have breakfast. They was open at 6am. Hard to find in these parts. But when we pulled up, the Open sign was lit and we got a really friendly good morning as we walked in. Good vibes already! Jennie the owner was our greeter. I think people are crazy sometimes... I just dont get the 5 star ratings from some folks, they must be friends or family or just have very low expectations. I just don' t get it at all. I am visiting the area on business and ate here twice, the second time was even worse than the first. Absolutely no service here, I waited 8 then 10 minutes for someone to greet us at our table with no more than 3 other customers present, get this...6 employees working, no one even greeted us, weird.... coffee order taken then 5 minutes later it arrives..self serve drink refrigerators with packaged drinks..serve yourself as well as the silverware...WHY EAT HERE? save your $$$ and eat at home... I had the full breakfast, sunnyside eggs cool, 1/2 of the potatoes were cold cold cold, sausage was hot, French toast cool.. My companion was hungry and didnt finish their omelette, said it was weird, idk.. I have eaten here 3 times since moving to the area and I'm a big fan. The food is always delicious and served hot. 2 of my visits were with family and friends and everyone's food got great reviews and looked appetizing. I will say that I've eaten in the restaurant twice and the service has room for improvement, I think they're just staffed better to do takeout. I've eaten breakfast and lunch here - Highly recommend the pork roll breakfast sandwich, chicken cheesesteak and the Lawrence sandwich. Why 3 stars. If you read the reviews there was a common theme... service. For me to throw up 4+ stars I need everything to align not perfect but aligned. Food is good. It's homemade breakfast like you would cook at home. When I walked in there door I was told to grab menus and seat myself. someone takes your order and that's about it. Had to get my own silverware and I had water but No one was refilling. After you eat you have to get up and pay at counter no one brings a check. Jenni's is my go-to breakfast spot - I probably stop by at least once a week. Overall, really good food, at totally reasonable/cheap prices. Generally friendly service and a local feel. There are a few minor details that keep it from being 5 stars though: - the sit-down service is generally pretty quick and attentive but can be inconsistent on weekends or when busy - the dining area could be cleaner, smaller details tend to be neglected such as the kitchen and bathroom doors being filthy and dirty salt and pepper shakers - Lastly, they use a mixture of water and a very strongly scented cleaner (Fabulouso?) to wipe down the tables. The artificial scent is so gross and overpowering that I get nauseous if I sit down before allowing the air to clear. Still, a great place - I would just love to see those details addressed to be a 5 star spot. read more

Couldn't even wait until we left to yelp about this place... Like actually, we are sitting here now. Can't say enough about the food and service here. My boyfriend is a "meat and potatoes" kind of guy, and I'm a vegetarian....Jenni's has something for everyone. They have traditional diner food (he got a sausage omelette and raved about it) but also have a really extensive healthy selections menu. I got a veggie stuffed sweet potato which was GREAT. Everyone working here is super nice, the young guy serving us even stopped back over to make sure the order specifics were.....they seem to be going the extra mile with all of the tables in here, which is really cool to see. We also only arrived 30 minutes ago and are already finishing up our meal.....they were crazy fast!! Oh and if that all wasn't enough, pretty sure our meal is under 10 dollars....for both of us combined!!! Can't say enough about this place, we will definitely be back ASAP! read more
