Fish tacos from a cafe inside a grocery store? Yes. Absolutely yes. They were so good, and that creamy sauce that comes with it needs to be bottled and sold. Went there for lunch and the staff was efficient and friendly. My only regret is not going back for dinner. We ended up at some fancy place for dinner and the fish there was so flavorless. Not sure why a little cafe inside a grocery store does it so much better than a more expensive place, but they do. Jerry's Cafe will be the first stop we make when we come back next summer! read more

Not just a Grocery Store! I've been thankful for Jerry's since coming here, and especially since Hurricane Ian. But Jerry's isn't just a grocery store, it is a place with great food! Just go by on any given day at noon! Deli, bakery, Starbucks and a great dining area! Nice servers, very accommodating to customers many requests. Everything on the menu is fresh and tasty. Today I tried something new! A pineapple boat. Usually served with cottage cheese, which I hate, I asked for just fruit! And as I said, they try to aaccommodate many changes requested. Not only was it a beautiful presentation of the pineapple bowl, with tuna (they also do Chicken salad), but the fruit was great. Not skimpy on it either! Jerry's may be a little pricy, but those of us on the Island are willing to pay for it! read more

We love the grocery store so much we always stop by every time we're on the island it's well appointed and located in a beautiful location. They also make great key lime pie. On the outside. the caged birds are gone and now there is a beautiful garden and seating area. Sadly when we went the salad bar was closed, so it ordered a salad at Jerry's cafe to go. It took almost 20 mins and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The salad itself wasn't that great and the lettuce was kind of wilted. So 4 stars overall. read more

Jerry's is a great little full service grocery store. Fair prices for the island. It also has a really nice restaurant with really good food with huge servings. Wife had 3 over stuffed beef tacos. Beef was slivered not ground. Well seasoned. I had a special 12oz slice of rare prime rib. Was actually rare! Accompanied by broccoli and baked potato. Gotta go back for more. read more

What a place. A restaurant inside of a grocery store! We stopped in here originally for water, ice and some snacks, left with full bellies! There is a little coffee shop and right next to that is a diner type restaurant! The giant slices of cake in the car at the front look absolutely amazing. We were greeted upon arrival and told to sit wherever we'd like. Our server came over immediately with menus and table set ups. The menu has a bunch of options and they all sound delicious. The breakfast BLT was too good, the runny egg made that sandwich. The kids portions were a great size and the pancakes were also good. Highly recommend for a quick and tasty bite! Before you leave check out the grocery store and grab something delicious from the bakery- the croissant cup was out of this world good as were the donuts!! read more

Being tourists and eating out for most of our meals, we like to find a grocery store to find reasonably priced items for occasional snack and meal options to dining out. Jerry's hit the spot in spades. This store in on the main street of Sanibel Island and is so easy to find. There are tons and tons of parking. Actually we ate at a nearby restaurant and walked over to here (there was a side walk between the two places). The store looks freshly remodeled and has an incredible variety for a neighborhood market (see all my pics). We found everything we wanted and at reasonable prices. This was a great way to have some cost cutting to our dining expenses. read more

Our first trip to Sanibel since before the hurricane 3 years ago. Our breakfast stop first day was Jerry's, and their fantastic cinnamon french toast. Jerry's has the same old fashioned vibe that I love. In fact, the whole island looks restored and renewed. Some restaurants and lodging is gone, but it isn't obvious. Alot of work and effort went into this recovery. I hope people come down here soon to make or renew memories. And have that french toast! read more

A local long standing market which has all of the necessities you'll need on the island. Personnel are accommodating and friendly. Groceries are sent down to the parking lot after purchase and you can drive under and pick them up. Highly recommend the no see um spray sold there. All natural and necessary some days. read more

We were standing in line at the checkout next to this and he waved us over to stand in this checkout Not only did he never acknowledge us, he left us to stand there when he went all over doing various other things. Jerry's is the island go to grocery store. When my family and I vacation here, this absolutely our store. There is another store named Baileys. We simply prefer Jerry's. When you arrive you'll be parking on the ground floor. There's stairs and an elevator to take you to the second floor, where the shopping is. Jerry's has anything you can find at a Publix. Wines, beer, deli, produce, meat section, seafood, cleaning items, toiletries. For checkouts you can do a self service or traditional checkout. After you're done shopping, you can send it down to the ground level. You'll be given a number for the groceries. When you're in the car about to leave the premises, you'll see an employee at the pick up area. Just pull up, tell them your assigned number and they'll place it in your trunk. Jerry's also have a coffee shop serving Starbucks coffee, it's called Coquina. It's nice because while the family is doing all the shopping, you can send the husband over to get a cup. I say that because I'm the husband in that scenario lol. Another thing they offer is Jerry's Cafe. Amongst the locals this a staple. Opened through breakfast through dinner. They're known for the Grouper Sandwich and Key lime pie. Outside of the grocery store are the Shops at Jerry's. Outfit yourself for a day of sun , find that perfect Island souvenir, treat the kids to an ice cream sundae, or spend some time at an organic day spa. The shops are named: Nanny's of Sanibel, H20 Outfitters, Footloose Sandals & Shoes, Spa Tini, Sanibel Spirits, Sanibel's Finest, Love Boat Ice Cream, Sanibel Surf Shop If you're on the island, this is the best grocery store. You don't have to leave the island at all. I definitely recommend this place. read more

We love the variety you find at Jerry's. It's a market, small shopping plaza and mini aviary, all in one. There are several souvenir shops where you can pick up some gifts, and a market where you can get most of what you need for your stay. Hungry? Grab a bite in their restaurant or pick up some ready to go food in their market. I freaking love Jerry's! When we travel to Captiva every summer, Jerry's is always one of the first stops we make to buy our groceries. It's got everything you need to prepare for a week on the beach. From meats and seafood, to prepared foods and all the products in between. One of the more convenient things about Jerry's is how they take your groceries to your car. There is some sort of magical grocery elevator that takes bins filled with your groceries down to the garage. From there, they load up the car for you and you are en route to beach relaxation. This is extremely helpful when it's raining, as it was when we visited this year. Jerry's is located in a shopping plaza with a few other beach stores as well as a liquor store. So you can truly get everything you need by stopping in this plaza. Of the two grocery stores on the Island, I would say Jerry's has a larger selection so we always stop here first. read more

This isn't the Piggly Wiggly on the island. But when we want better items, Sanibel has their answer similar to a Shoprite with a tiny bit of Citarella thrown in- and Jerry's it. Place is well kept and located on Periwinkle Way in the Jerry's Shopping Center. You can either go around Jerry's and park in their underground lot or park up front. I don't cook while I'm on vacation (I mean who does?), so Jerry's has come to the rescue many times when we want items like Brie, Gruyère and Yarslberg or Ice Cream, to keep in our hotel. Or before hitting the beach, I've come to Jerry's to pick up hubs' deli meat sandwiches or non-meat items for me. I have no major complaints. I like most things about this store- from layout, shelves, service and warm glow. Prices are a bit mind-boggling... but you get what you pay for. read more

How many grocery stores do you know of that have parrots?! Like actual parrots? This was always our go to grocery store since it was literally a 2 min drive from the house. When I was a kid I used to get their fried chicken from the deli all the time. The have covered parking and uncovered parking. The whole shopping center has a tropical feel. I always make a pint to stop here. read more

Since Hurricane Ian, we have shifted to buying all of our food for our home on Captiva from Publix to Jerry's. The staff, especially Vic in the meats/fish counter - (AMAZINGLY FRIENDLY, knowledgeable and helpful in discussing meal preparation!!!) - and Norman the manager, have made it a delight to shop here. They were amazingly helpful to everyone in the community for the two years after the hurricane hit. The store is clean, very well stocked and well- priced. Kudos to Vic for getting us to switch!!!! read more

I think it's safe to say I hate leaving less than 4 star reviews. Even if a place just isn't my preference I don't want to discourage others from trying it and the staff here was great but the food was just meh for me. The sausage in my omelet was just like sausage links cut in squares which idk, I'd just prefer it be ground sausage. The pancakes had a weird almost undone taste to them and the keylime pie had a weird taste as well. Then there was a gigantic fly smashed on the window where we were sitting and another gigantic fly buzzing around that fly. I mean, this fly was so thick it literally fell on its back on the sill and we thought it died but it turned out it was just so fat it couldn't get back up. Anyway, kind of disgusting entertainment while you're eating. Oh but the grocery store is the only full service grocery store on the island I think so definitely get your groceries here and say hey to the gigantic fly for me. read more
