Wow! I just was publicly taken out by the owner. We were sitting in the booth next to the cash register and a hostess was standing about a foot from me with her rear end facing me. It was awkward and really made me feel uncomfortable. I had to ask her to move so I could get out of the booth, and when she walked away I mentioned to the owner that I was uncomfortable with her rear in my face. He went off the charts.... yelling he made the following comments... people like us... people like you, I know how you are..... you have insulted my staff.... I don't let people insult my staff... ( good, you should take care of your staff, it wasn't about her, it was where he positioned her).... there's the door... don't come back.... the beauty of owning a restaurant is I can throw people out ! Those are just some of the comments! He was loud, aggressive and threatening! He was putting on a show! I am so glad I did not call I did not call attention to the fact that they put the wrong cheese in my omelet. Locations is convenient and has ample parking. The inside of the restaurant has a lot of seating which is good, as it gets quite crowded on a Sunday morning after church lets out. They have high top tables as well as low, along with booths along the wall. The restaurant is cheerfully and brightly colored and very clean. We gave our name and waited only about 10 minutes for a table for 2 at 9:30 am on a Sunday. Unfortunately, we were sandwiched in between a few other 2 tops and it felt just a little too close. I'm not a fan of listening to my neighbors chew or their coffee conversations. It feels like they just keep adding tables to fit as many diners as they can. The restaurant is clearly very popular and really bustling. The food is typical breakfast diner food and the coffee is decent. For me, it was just okay. There were a lot of people waiting at the register to pay their bills, which caused a lot of confusion with the people who were waiting to give their names for a table. It seems like they need a better system for that. There is also outdoor dining. read more

Good breakfast spot. Parking can get tricky at times. I've been to Old 41 a handful of times and get the same breakfast each time. 2 eggs - over easy, home fries, white toast and add crispy bacon. This past time, I did my normal breakfast and asked for crispy bacon. When it came out the bacon was not even remotely crispy. I asked our waitress, who seemed like she was done with her day, if she can get these crispy. When she came back, they were completely black. I unfortunately took a bite and felt like I was eating charcoal. They were burnt! I should've said something but I was just over it and ate around it. I know I asked for crispy so I'm sure people take that differently. Crispy to one person may mean burnt. We will give this another shot sometime and maybe stay away from ordering the crispy bacon. read more

Don't let the 3-stars fool you... I'm tough. Fact is this place is ROCK SOLID when it comes to the diner food you long for. While I've only done BFast here, it always lives up to expectations for decent quality fair, at a decent price, with prompt service. Also, the coffee is surprisingly good for a diner... so don't bother with the gourmet stop off before arriving. I love the waffles with a side of strawberries... and for sure the Country Fried Steal & Eggs is a crowd pleaser for your inner southerner assuming you've got your big-boy pants on (which you will certainly need if you eat it all). While I wouldn't say I'd go way out of my way for their food, I also wouldn't go eat out of my way to go elsewhere unless there was something very specific I was craving. If you're in Bonita or South Estero, check them out. read more

Well it was okay. Unfortunately I never got my sausage, paid for it but never got it. Ordered white toast and got pumpernickel. They did switch that up and brought out the correct toast ordered. The portions were ample and the omelette was very good. I do think 8.25 for pancakes is pricy. The sausage was additional charge making my pancakes and sausage more expensive than the meat omelette, hash browns and toast. The bathrooms were disgusting with stained toilets and ceiling tiles. My husband and I have been semi regulars at Old 41 Restaurant for about three years now and we will keep going back for several reasons. First, I believe they are a locally owned restaurant because the owners are present every time I go in. They are friendly and professional and that familiarity is rare these days. Second, the service is excellent and the staff is also familiar which leads me to believe that the owners care about their employees because there seems to be very little turnover. Third, the food is not only excellent, but extremely consistent every time we go there. Everything I've had has been fresh and prepared exactly how I've ordered it (I love their waffles). Old 41 is one of our favorite places to eat at when we're in town. It's right by the Hyatt & the food is delicious! Prices are great and the service is even better! I was surprised how quickly we got our food & my hangry kids appreciated the speedy service. Everyone was so incredibly nice to us & our kids.
