Pre-owned Sales: We had an awesome sales experience with Richard Popperwell. We found a vehicle online that interested us and reached out. Richard contacted us right away, answered all our questions, and even sent a video highlighting the car and any cosmetic flaws that were present, as requested. We stopped by unannounced to take a quick look and Richard was super accommodating. Not pushy, very friendly, very honest. The next day we worked out all the numbers with Richard from home, showed up for a scheduled test drive, and left in a new vehicle 90 minutes later. Which to my knowledge has it's own service department and certainly is its own showroom. But located right next-door to BMW. We have brought our Countryman S to the service department at this location since we bought it. But now closed Mini of Arlington had a terrible service department. But everybody at Mini Fort Worth ( Autobahn ) is great . So great in fact that when they noticed a funny substance on one of our fender flares, they ordered all new ones from the factory for free because of our warranty. While walking the showroom, we found our fourth mini. And I pick it up today. I was all but ready to abandon brand loyalty altogether, but because of this dealership we bought another. They gave me the best trade in value on my Cadillac too. I highly recommend their salesperson Wes. He is low-key and thoughtful and very knowledgeable of his product. Jimmy didn't want to sell me the car. I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this dealership, and I feel compelled to share it. I called on Thursday to inquire about the availability of the M550i and confirmed I would be coming in on Friday. I even texted an hour before arriving to let the salesman, Jimmy, know I was on my way--about a 50-minute drive from Dallas. Upon arrival, I was told that the car had a check engine light and was in service. Jimmy left it up to me whether I wanted to wait or leave. It was extremely disappointing to be treated with such indifference. I was ready to purchase the car that day, but Jimmy seemed uninterested in helping. Instead of addressing my concerns or offering alternatives, he spent most of the time going back and forth between me and his desk, working with other customers, even though the dealership wasn't busy. After waiting for over an hour and a half, we finally went for a test drive, which only made things worse. The car was shaking while driving, indicating something was clearly wrong with either the tires or the suspension. As a dedicated fan of the BMW brand, this experience was incredibly disappointing. Jimmy's lack of professionalism and poor customer service made it clear that he had no interest in selling me a car. I expect far better from a dealership representing a brand like BMW. I've purchased three BMWs now from Autobahn BMW. The first two I felt like I got a fair price for my trade-in vehicles. This time I'm not so sure because the offer was lower than what I found online and, I didn't negotiate. Customer service is good but it takes hours to take delivery of the car. Some of the salespeople are friendly and others are not, many of the sales (men in particular) have sour looks on their faces like they don't want to be bothered by customers. The younger salesmen are the friendliest, perhaps they're hungrier and haven't been jaded by they old guys. This isn't the best time to purchase a new vehicle due to the chip crisis but I believe I got a fair price on my new X1. Suggestions: (1) negotiate on the offer for your trade-in. It's a pain but they WILL low-ball the first offer so spend some time if it's worth a few hundred/thousand dollars. (2) Find out if they're offering rebates for cash purchases. (3) Ask them to fill up the fuel tank. I traded in a car with a full tank of gas and got a car with less than a quarter of a tank. And finally, (4) ask for BMW floormats. They'll probably tell you no because they're not negotiating but you never know. Overall, it was a good experience and I'll go back for #4 in a few years. read more

DO NOT GO HERE to purchase a used vehicle. Not only do they not thoroughly inspect the vehicle although they claim they did but they fail to disclose any issues the car has at the time. I bought a vehicle from them which had a leaking radiator that was not apparent at the time of purchase as it's a slow leak. I did confirm with their sales rep Richard Popperwell that the car was inspected and found to be in good condition. Shortly after the purchase I started getting a message stating "Coolant Error" although the coolant levels were fine. When I advised him of this issue when i dropped off the car for them to fix the leather seat that they had promised to fix, Richard advised me that the radiator had a leak and that they are going to replace it. Six months after replacing the radiator, the same message started popping up again and once again the coolant levels are perfectly fine. I tried to get them to fix the radiator again but they are trying to push me off to Mercedes and pay for this repair out of my own pocket. They are claiming that I purchased it in AS IS condition which is great and dandy except the AS IS condition I was provided was that the car was in good condition with no issue whatsoever other than the leather seat that had damage. They are refusing to fix this radiatior which clearly is a defect or their lack of knowledge of replacing a Mercedes radiatior is causing the issue again. This dealership is a fraud and very deceiving. I won't ever purchase another car from them and I will be reporting them to the government agency to make them aware of the fraudulent sales tactics being used by this dealership. Don't say I didn't warn you but I wish I could give Negative stars. read more

Egregious parts overcharging, unnecessary maintenance. TLDR: Be super careful about parts prices here. Also watch out for unnecessary procedures. I expected the dealer to be expensive, but I didn't expect them to try and perform unnecessary maintenance and the dramatically overpriced parts shocked me. I'll try to keep it short, but if you don't have stacks of money you're willing to throw in the fire, you probably need to read this and understand the details. I expected two tiers of prices, the price if you bought parts on the internet, and a much higher price if you get them at the dealer. Autobahn has a higher third tier, reserved just for their own service department customers, that to me seems insane. The service department actually marks up prices again (35% in my case), even higher than their own parts department, which is 23% marked up over the internet. Total markup, over the internet price is 66%. Here's the data: Part number: 16-19-7-260-216 Internet price: $554.79 (https://www.cheapestfactoryparts.com/oem-parts/bmw-pump-16197351665) Autobahn parts department price: $682.49 (https://www.bmwpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/bmw-pump-16197351665) Autobahn Service department price: $921 (No link and you won't know the price unless you ask for a breakdown. They will bundle labor and parts costs to make it difficult to figure out what you're paying.) Advice: 1. Go anywhere else, it has to be better 2. Ask for the parts numbers and compare prices with internet and their own parts department. Once you call them out, they will lower the price to match what the parts department price. I think it's fun for everyone if you offer to buy it from the parts department and carry it over to the service department for them. 3. The diagnostic fee, what you pay for the privilege of finding out how much the service department intends to overcharge you, is ~$450. They will lower this to ~$250 if you ask. 4. Ask questions: "Which part is actually broken?" & "Why are you replacing parts that aren't broken?" Is it dishonest for the service department to inflate prices above the parts department? Or is it just a really mean thing to do to your own customers? Prices are literally 35% less for someone who walks in off the street, than for someone who is an Autobahn service department customer. I told the manager that I think it's both mean and dishonest, but hopefully this makes you a little more informed and more equipped to make your own judgement. Finally, the issue I had was an engine code. The estimate for repair of that was over $3000. I chose not to let them do anything. The light reset itself on the way home and hasn't come back. I don't think there was ever anything wrong. Thank goodness I didn't follow their recommendations. read more

Okay after years of getting serviced at other BMW dealers and then coming back to this one I can definitively say that they are the WORST. First of all, don't bother booking an appointment. The last two times I tried to book with my main man Yohan, only to have my appointment changed and not honored. First time, it took them over four hours to do my brake fluid. This last time I went in first thing in the AM for and oil change, and brakes. I also told them I needed a new wheel bearing, something they had already diagnosed the visit before. Upon arrival I'm asked what I'm there for... Um, how about for all that I already said online when I booked? They didn't have the parts to replace my wheel bearing. Not like I scheduled a week ahead so they could order the parts or anything. TWO HOURS later, I'm told they are starting on my vehicle and I was right about the wheel bearing. NO SH*T! YOU already told me it was the wheel bearing! What the hell took two hours to tell me that?! FOUR MORE HOURS LATER, they finally finished my oil change and brakes. In case you aren't good at addition, that is SIX HOURS I spent waiting for an oil change and brakes. And this is after scheduling for first thing in the morning. So again, don't bother. Oh, and what's more? In doing my oil change they didn't even refill my DEF fluid. Something that is pretty standard by my understanding. Didn't rinse my car off. Didn't wipe my car down. Our lender approved a loan with a 4.5 interest rate and BMW instead financed the vehicle with nothing down and a 2.9 interest rate! Once finished with the phone approval, they overnighted the paperwork and I flew down the next day and picked it up. I tried to service my 2007 Certified used i530 at Autobahn Ft Worth. Now, I realize that I did not purchase my BMW at this dealership (I purchased it in Dallas because this is where I could find the car I wanted to buy). My car had an issue that the air conditioning system was shutting off. I finally had been able to capture what had been happening in a video and called the closer to me dealership (I'm a Fort Worth girl). That said, I called and informed I would like to schedule a service appointment and would like to arrange for a loaner (this service is included in a certified used white glove type service. It's what I paid for... I bought a brand, an experience. So, I called the dealership and informed what car I owned and while I hadn't purchased my car at this dealership I would prefer to service it in Fort Worth because the dealership I had purchased it from was over 40 miles from my home. I had been informed that this "service" would not allow me the option of a loaner because I wasn't their client ( I feel this is Not a good BMW customer experience) most people would think that the Brand is telling them, hey, we don't value you, or your money and you can go elsewhere... So I calmly said, ok I realize I am not currently a customer but will this service request establish me as a client. I was told " OH it will take MUCH more than that". Now, again, BMW buyer experience, hmmm that pretty darn crappy. But I realize that there is a difference between the Brand and a dealer. So what did I do? I called BMW of Dallas which is like I said 40 miles from my home in Ft Worth. I told them what happened. Not only did they set up the appointment, arrange for a loaner, but when my car repair was complete 4-5 days later they DROPPED my car off to me and picked up my rental while I was at a Dr Appointment... talk about AAA+ service. BTW, this issue would have established service for any customer. They replaced the computer in my car (not a cheap thing to do, even in warranty it was a couple of thousand). THIS Is why I have never gone back to Autobahn. I have continued to do business with car dealers in Dallas (BMW of Dallas and Park Place Volvo)... Speaking of which, it's time to purchase another car... This will be the 3rd car that they've lost a sale on. Excluding family/friends who may be in the market. Now I make sure to tell everyone about my customer experience. My only hope is that it has improved. This is why you buy a luxury car, to be taken care of. Drop of your keys and be out the door. I called Charles Graham in their used car department to check if a particular vehicle was still available. He confirmed on the phone that it was so I let him know that I would be there soon to test drive. I arrived thirty minutes later, and he tells me that actually the car isn't there, but he has other cars. I don't know if it was incompetence or a deliberate lie to just get me in the door. Either way, it was extremely frustrating, and he did nothing to try to make it right. The Autobahn Group has lost a customer. Operator refused to let me speak with a service advisor and stated I would have to come in for a quote. I understand that a binding estimate could not be give over the phone however, I hate to drive from Dallas proper for a non-urgent repair to find out the cost is out more expensive that other service centers that are closer. Karla is a "service advisor" and not only was she sloppy with customer service but also lazy when it came to getting our car taken care of. We took it in for a light and were told this would be done within a day. My husband called them back after we hadn't heard from them for a day, only to find out that Karla forgot to put in a service request and so we would not have our car back at the promised time. That is a HUGE CUSTOMER SERVICE RED FLAG - if your employees are not promptly doing their jobs and meeting customer deadlines that's an issue. My husband was more than willing to work with them as they kept finding more issues with the car - in short, we will never come back to this location for service. Purchased my BMW from this dealership 1 ago as a certified preowned car. I started noticing almost immediately that my front tires were looking a little more worn than the back and since it still drove nice and straight I assumed it was just normal wear and tear. My tires started wearing on the front almost immediately the back were still in perfect condition. You would assume that they would do a alignment check on that car before they sell it to you. I just found out, They don't! The service person told me that this is very common with Texas roads and I should get my car aligned every oil change. I would like to remind you that an alignment is $185. I thought this was absurd and just another way to shift blame. Don't assume that because you're buying a certified preowned car from this dealership that is has actually been certified by anyone, obviously in my case the checks that they do on these vehicles are not very thorough. I am so disappointed in my previous service experience at Autobahn Fort Worth. I have driven BMWs all my life and for the last 25 years used Autobahn to get my cars serviced. Last year my service advisor changed, and it has not been the same. I was promised a new floor mat for my car and was told I would be contacted to come and pick it up by my new service advisor. Well, it has been two weeks now. I have left several voicemails and text messages for my new service advisor, and no response.
