To be very fair, its hit or miss but VERYYYY convenient. Like no disrespect but, sometimes the pizza looks/tastes old especially the sicilians (I hate to see waxy looking cheese). They changed management or somthing because a few things changed but only slightly. Overall its good quality for what you pay for, just don't think its gonna be cheap cheap if you get what I mean. Family owned Italian pizza spot run by two brothers. The pizza is good and the service is pretty fast. They are always nice to you. They will also deliver $5 worth of food to your house, without hesitation. I've had them deliver two slices of pizza to my apartment - only in the Bronx! The one thing I will say is that it's actually hot as balls in the pizza shop. Once in awhile I'll hear whispers about how great this place is, and the last aggrandizing critique was enough for me to decide to weigh in. This place-- fucking sucks. I've been here 3 times and the first time was overtly greasy. I'm always one to argue for more grease on a lot of foods and the amount of grease on that calzone was pointless. As pointless as having this pizza place around. And the other two times, the pizza was stale and sloppy. Aesthetics on food for me is really just a gesture but if you're not going to please with flavors than at least make it presentable; the toppings weren't uniform. Jerry's has been around for a long time and I'm sure most of their clientele are just that, people who've been around for too long, who haven't evolved. You know what type of people like to aggrandize the past? Donald Drumpf supporters. "You can't fix something that's not broken." I'm telling you it's broken and good luck still using flip phones. And what really gets to me is, they're lacking on all the redeemable qualities of Bronx pizza. Or a matter of fact, just the Bronx. One of the many sequestered joys of the Bronx is that we give absolutely no shits to the Green Movement. Combined with the proud old school Italian pedigree, Bronx pizza is an especial treat that Jerry's is failing to uphold. I have been going to Jerry's since 1990, I have always ordered the baked ziti for small Family events. Yesterday I order a ziti. The gravy tasted like tomato paste. My daughter opened the ziti to taste and spit it out. She said Mom it tastes like tomatoes paste. I tasted it and it seems they added tomatoes paste and did not simmer. I was so disappointed. Jerry's sits on the corner of Unionport. You wouldn't think a nondescript corner place could deliver slices that pack such a punch! I got three huge slices: White pizza, Lasagna pizza, and Chicken and Tomato pizza. They were all delicious but the Chicken and Tomato was really outstandingly amazing. There are two places in NYC that I will always buy pizza from. La Famiglia in Tribeca and this place. I ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza from Jerry's on a late night and it was delicious. The pie was oozing with cheese and they didn't skimp on the meat. We also were pleasantly surprised to receive a free 2 liter bottle of R.C. Cola (who remembers those??) with our order. Also, if you're looking for a great meatball hero, I highly recommend you try this place. I had a craving for one the other day and it was so good I got one two days in a row. Oozing mozzarella cheese everywhere and flavorful meatballs topped with a delicious tomato sauce. The only reason as to way i'm giving it four stars is because they seem to always raise the prices every few months. Slices at the start of 2017 was $2.50 now fast forward july 2017 each slice (regular) is $3.00 each and if you want toppings it's an additional $1.50 :( pizza is suppose to be a quick bite to eat.
