Went for dinner after a day of touring and we were not dissapointed. We were also so hungry so I forgot pictures of the arugula salad, and the inside of the restaurant. We shared a salad, a pasta dish and pizza. The portions were decent size and we still have leftovers. The service was decent nothing out of the extraordinary. The inside was a rustic, brick look very nice eating area. Would recommend!!!

Little Italy in the Bx on Arthur Ave. What more can I say. The food was delicious. Hot, fresh, and delectable. Service was great. They made sure to stop by and make sure the apps and entrees were okay and they were. It was my first time trying the black squid ink linguini. I was hoping for it to have a little more spice but it was still good. Will be I be back, yes absolutely. Fantastic Italian place in the Bx.

Last night two business associates and I ate at this well recommended trattoria. To say we enjoyed ourselves was an understatement! The food was magnificent and perfectly cooked! Our waiter Dutch was fantastic, as was his team , and the ambiance was enjoyable! We all three recommend Trattoria Zero Otto Nove!!

My girlfriend and I stopped by because we was craving Italian, and this place did not disappoint. The food came out quickly, everything tasted fresh, and the pizza, pasta, and Caesar salad were all excellent. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for a date night. The service was outstanding the staff was attentive, friendly, and always on top of drink refills. We'll definitely be back!

Love the pizza & the octopus! Service was good, waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Pizza was amazing. The quattro formaggio is a recommend for any cheese lovers (8.1/10) The margherita was solid, a good margherita pie. (8.5/10) The octopus was sooo good. I recommend it a 100% to anyone thinking about ordering it. (9/10) My boyfriend ordered the pesto pasta with burrata. I thought it was just okay but he thoroughly enjoyed it.

Another visit to Trattoria Zero Otto Nove, because some traditions are non-negotiable. Ms. J. and I do the New York Botanical Garden first and then reward ourselves properly with pasta. As one should. I ordered the Pasta al Forno, which showed up hot, cheesy, and very much not interested in being subtle. Comfort food doing the absolute most -- baked, sauced, and bubbling like it knew it was the right choice. One would think "Boiled eggs in pasta?", but trust me, the bechamel sauce takes it to the next level. Ms. J. went for the daily special: Radiatori in Cartoccio, cooked inside a sealed pocket of aluminum foil and opened tableside like a little pasta reveal. Steamy, aromatic, and frankly a bit of a showoff -- in the best possible way. And then there was the Tiramisu. We shared it (heroically), and I'm just going to say it: top-tier tiramisu. Not too sweet, beautifully balanced, rich without being heavy -- one of the best we've had in NYC, and we do not make that claim lightly. We both love tiramisu. We both judge tiramisu. This one passed with stars. Zero nonsense, big flavors, and a tradition that continues to age very well. We'll be back. Obviously. ‍

I love the area this restaurant is in, and the vibe immediately sets the tone. I ordered the spaghetti cacio e pepe, which was pretty good and comforting. The service stood out, with staff constantly circulating the room and refilling drinks without needing to ask. We also ordered a pizza that was very good and complemented the pasta nicely. The courtyard decor is charming and genuinely reminded me of a trip to Italy.

Good spot in Bronx's little Italy for pizza! The highlight for me was the ambiance. Beautiful space, sky lights, brick walls -- I felt transported, not quite sure to where, but really enjoyed it. The food was good and the service was attentive. We got the pasta al forno and Malfade with pesto and tomatoes and pear salad. Both pastas were small in size bvery filling and flavorful, but I was disappointed by the pear salad which was wilted / not very fresh and very small. Pastas were a bit pricey, too (~$25 per bowl).

Took my niece here for dinner as a suggestion from a dear friend. The pizza was amazing!! We had the Quattro Formaggi and the Patate e Porcini. Both were absolutely delicious. We also shared the cannoli. When I visit her at Fordham again, we will definitely be back and I'll order extra to take home. Out of this world pizza!!

We love this place. It's big and airy. The waiters are always hustling back and forth keeping the tables well covered and the food is delicious. We usually order a fish, pizza and appetizer. The pizza bread is so delicious and their table olive oil makes it even better. Family friendly and just a good night out.

My first review for 2025! After visiting the NY Botanical Garden with my family, we make it a point to come to Arthur Ave for some great Italian food. We had come to Zero Otto Nove our first time over 10 years ago and I thought this would be a great time for a repeat after the recent train show. I still remember the rustic decor and we were seated at the front dining room this time. A basket of sliced Italian loaf to be dipped in EVOO is always a welcoming sight when we sit down. Starting with Clams Oreganata and a La San Matteo Pizza for the table is a good way to start. The pizza comes fresh out of the domed pizza oven with a crispy charred hand rolled crust, bubbling mozzarella, crumbled sausage and chopped broccoli rabe. Ask for more bread if you want to soak up the sauce in the clams. Around the table, we had assorted pasta and seafood dishes from the regular menu as well as the specials. The Risotto alla Pescatore is loaded with scallops, clams and mussels, which my wife loved. My sister loved her Linguini alla Vongole with fresh clams and fresh pasta. My other sister went with the Fillet of Sole with mussels arranged the fish & vegetables in a creamy sauce. When I heard Osso Bucco was a special I knew I had to try it. The meat fell off the braised veal shank into the pool of sauce. The side of risotto & cannelloni beans was a nice accompaniment. With so many great restaurants on Arthur Ave, it took us a while to make the roundabout back to Zero Otto Nove, but I'm glad we did and hopefully won't take us as long the next time round!

New York flavours by the Bronx Zoo Trattoria Zero Otto Nove overall was a delightful experience. The service stood out as attentive and professional, with staff offering excellent recommendations that showcased the menu's highlights. The ambiance, while cozy (if you sit in the corner) leaned on the darker and quieter side, which might not appeal to everyone but could work well for an intimate evening. Taste: 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value for money: 3.5/5 We had: * Grilled Octopus (5/5): Perfectly tender with just the right amount of smoky, grilled flavor. An absolute must-try for seafood lovers. * Margherita Pizza: A well-executed classic. The tomato sauce was slightly sweet but balanced beautifully with the other ingredients. * La Cirilo (14-inch pie): A creative and flavorful combination. The butternut squash added a subtle sweetness, while the creamed and truffle mushrooms brought a rich, umami depth to the dish. The quality of the food and the thoughtful preparation made the meal worth its price, though a touch more brightness in the ambiance would elevate the overall experience. Would I return? Definitely--for the flavors and solid service. Especially after a long walk at the zoo!

Polpettine, Polenta & Caprino is an awesome appetizer!

The warm bread was soft, fresh, and nicely herby with what tasted like oregano sprinkled on top. Portions were satisfying, flavors were rich without feeling too heavy, and the quality really stood out. We ordered sparkling water and a couple of cocktails. For appetizers we had the Polpettine Di Casa (homemade beef meatballs in pomodoro sauce) and the Portuguese octopus with fava beans, cannellini beans, onions, and apple vinegar dressing. Both were flavorful and well prepared. For entrées we ordered the Pappardelle alla Bolognese with homemade pasta and meat sauce, along with the New Zealand lamb chops over broccoli rabe and mashed potatoes. The pasta tasted fresh and authentic, and the lamb was tender and cooked as requested. Unfortunately, the night ended on a disappointing note because of the service. Mario was pleasant, but another server, I believe named Alex, overheard a conversation and became argumentative and sarcastic toward the birthday woman's son. It felt very unprofessional for the setting and completely changed the mood of the dinner, causing everyone to leave earlier than planned. The 93yr old woman was shaking. People should stay in their lane. Sadly, because of that interaction, I wouldn't return.
