A good out of the way pizza shop in the Bronx. This is behind other buildings, near townhouses and apartments. Mostly had Fordham college students eating there. I think people only go here because they know about it, or like us, find it randomly on Google maps. There is a little parking lot. The pizza and pasta were both good. NYC style! The restaurant is filled with paraphernalia, photos, graffiti, and other knick-knacks. I don't think that was for show, they just never throw anything out. Even Mr. Pugsley himself was sitting in an overstuffed chair, falling asleep with his X-Mas hat in the front of the store!

This place was a little bit difficult, Find, but totally worth it! You have to walk through the back door of the gas station to get to the back alley. The pizza slices were amazing and you can't beat the price! I'll definitely be back!

Excellent pizza $20 a pie. You will love it. Should be on your bucket list of to-go-to NYC pizza joints.

Back in New York City right after my Italian trip, I visit "Little Italy" in the Bronx and found this fun Italian-American spot selling creative pizza that will surely disgust the Italian nonnas back in Europe. At this spot, a former stable turned restaurant and a favorite of students from nearby Fordham University, I tried pizza topped with penne ala vodka for those dinner nights when one can't decide between pasta or pizza. Someone said, "Great idea, put them together!" Also, I tried a dessert that brought a delicious trouple: creamy Sicilian cannoli, and Nutella spread on top of a freshly baked pizza. I think it's quite poetic . These food are metaphors of how the migrant Italians have culturally evolved in America and particularly in the Bronx __ fun, daring, modern, and still very Italian with a dash of American. #curious_eater #littleitalyarthuravenue #littleitalybronx #little italy nyc

Pugsley Pizza Pie! Tastes as good as it looks! Believe me!

So my pal and I were in the mood for some pizza and I figured we'd go to one of my favorite spots Pugsleys Pizza up in the Bronx. The owner, Sal and his wonderful wife were at the helms this time. Very beautiful and happy couple. They make this spot what it is. We ordered the 10 inch small pie and it was definitely enough for two people. This pizza is so delicious. You definitely have to try it if you're in the Fordham area. Cooked perfectly. Nice andd golden. Perfect cheese to sauce ratio. The sauce is so delicious and crust is nice and crispy. There is no way you can go wrong at this spot. The service is Grand. They are very accommodating. You put your order in and they will bring the pie to your table. They also have other food there and you could order single slices if you'd like. The joint itself is nice and cozy. It's always cool to eat in there. So if you're looking for some really good pizza or Italian food head up to Pugsleys Pizza in the Bronx! All right, everyone, enjoy your day !

Pretty great little place in the Bronx. One slice was definitely enough for me, though I tend to eat a bit less than most. But it absolutely filled me up. My boyfriend's friend treated us so I can't quite remember how good of a price it was. I wish they had better drinks available, and the seating was not very comfortable. Otherwise, quite the little hidden gem!

We love this pizzas when we are in the Bronx! Huge slices for great prices. Employees say HI GUYS! :) Nice seating inside and outside. Big enough for a birthday bash! They even have a parking lot. How cool!

Delicious, friendly, fun, great service. All of the food was really good. However, the vodka, marinara, pesto slice was soooooo yum.

Very casual pizza restaurant with pizza served on paper plates. When pizzas are done, the chef hits the gong! Thin crusted pizza was our order on this day.

Great place! My personal favorite is the penne vodka pizza. Owners and staff are so friendly I absolutely love coming here. Inside there is limited seating but they also have a patio. The decor inside is super sick too. This is a very popular spot for fordham kids as it is practically on-campus lol so be aware of that if coming here late at night, gets crowded.

Stopped by after reading many great reviews on this casual pizza spot. A lot of reviews posted pictures of the Love Pie which is an adorable 10" heart shaped pie. We ordered the garlic bread with mozzarella that came with a side of sauce for dipping. The staff was very accommodating and allowed us to order each personal pie with two different toppings. Overall very solid food, would recommend!

Period…read more If you want to know what real New York City pizza is supposed to taste like, stop looking and get to Louie & Ernie's on Crosby Ave. This isn't just a meal; it's a Bronx institution. The Vibe: Old School & Authentic This place is as "old school" as it gets. It's located in the basement of a house, and walking in feels like stepping back into 1959. There are no fancy decorations or "artisanal" gimmicks--just the smell of fresh dough and a gas oven that's probably seen more history than most museums. * Pro Tip: It is CASH ONLY. Don't be that person who gets to the counter with a card; come prepared. The Pizza: The Best in the Bronx I've had a lot of pizza, but this is easily the best in the borough. * The Crust: Paper-thin, perfectly salty, and has that signature "Bronx fold" with just the right amount of char on the bottom. * The Sausage: This is their claim to fame. They use huge, fresh chunks of sausage that are packed with flavor. It's heavy, it's greasy in the best way possible, and it's legendary. * The Sauce/Cheese: The ratio is perfection. The sauce is tangy and bright, and the mozzarella is creamy and never "rubbery." The Service The staff here are exactly what you want in a legendary neighborhood spot--friendly, fast, and no-nonsense. They keep the line moving, but they treat you like a regular even if it's your first time. Verdict: 10/10. It's simple, it's classic, and it's the king of the Bronx. If you haven't been, you're doing NYC wrong.

Unfortunately, the food I ate fell very short of my expectations. I ordered a few slices of both their regular pizza and Sicilian. The Sicilian slices barely had any sauce and too much dough that was not flavorful at all. The cheese did not taste that good either. The regular pizza slices also lacked flavor and sauce. They were also too thin and the crust was only a little crispy. The fresh mozzarella and tomato slice tasted the worst while the slice with pepperoni was somewhat better. I'm not sure if my experience with this restaurant is an outlier, but I was very disappointed with their food. If I am ever in the area where this pizzeria is located, maybe I might stop in to get a slice to see if eating in person leads to a better experience.

I enjoy the Chicken Parm, Meatballs, Pizza, Mozzarella Sticks & deserts! I definitely have a thing for their Vodka sauce too How's the food? The meatballs are so good.. Tender.. They fall apart which I like. Not big on huge, dense meatballs anyway.. These things taste amazing! You gotta try them.. The Chicken Parm with spaghetti in Vodka Sauce is one of my favorites dishes The chicken is nice and tender, sauce has a great flavor, cheese is nice and melted, pasta perfectly cooked and it's a pretty big portion! The Mozzarella Sticks are like no other! I'm telling you! They make them fresh on-site.. Not store bought frozen sticks where the cheese pops out the casing.. These things are the real deal.. The cheese is stringy, well melted.. And they're pretty big.. They don't skimp.. Good for like 2-3 people.. I can only eat one myself.. The Pizzas are pretty good too! I really enjoy the entry dishes but if I'm with a group, I'll get a pizza to share. They're pretty small anyway. My favorite dessert is the Conollis! They have a nice airy, light casing.. The ricotta filling is so flavorful and fluffy.. So on point The service staff is always welcoming, accommodating and super cool. Really good crew. The place itself is so chill. Layback atmosphere, some really cool music plays in the background, classic Hip Hop, Funk/Soul breaks and more.. historical art decor fills the walls and vibes are always right in the spot. Might even have some games on the TVs.. great spot altogether.. You can see the Pizza cook in their fire oven.. Pretty cool I think. So if you're looking for a really cool spot to munch at in the Bronx Kingsbridge Neighborhood, you should definitely check out Kingsbridge Social Club. It's a vibe! Have a good one yall! -Ray

It turned out to be one of the best recommendations we've received. My mom, my daughter, and I absolutely loved our experience. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, but the staff welcomed us with a smile and never made us feel rushed.
