This journey began about two years ago. No...seriously, stay with me…read more.. We adopted a little five month old puppy from the St. Louis Humane Society two years ago. She dug a big hole in the middle of our carpet. I love her so much, I didn't care, however it would have to be fixed. We threw a rug over it. Okay, fast forward to next year and hubby has some health issues that kept us busy for a long time. Fast forward six months and we realized that we still have a hole in the carpet. We decide it's time to do something. Of course we decide that..."Hey, if we're going to do this, we might as well....." You know how it goes. We start visiting carpet places and places that have carpet; people came and measured the house. We never hear back from one place and the other place kept calling us with different figures every time and laminate where the carpet goes and carpet where the laminate goes. After the third time, I'm thinking; do you really want someone installing a whole bunch of flooring if they can't even get the paperwork right? So...we give up and buy a new rug for the hole. Fast forward three months and we are in the Edwardsville area looking around and we see Archview flooring. We park and look at each other. Do we really want to try this again? We both sigh and go in. I'm expecting things to go south pretty quick. Then we meet Bryan. Bryan is friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He seems to understand exactly what we want and our budget. It is like talking to a good friend. Archview has all the top brands and lots of samples to take home; we took home lots! Later Bryan comes and measures the house. So far so good. When we go back in later to really get serious about picking out our floors, Bryan goes over pricing again. We actually got a little carried away with what we wanted to do, so we had to shave a few things off, which ended up being a good thing. Once we settled on what we wanted, Bryan put in the order and we got on the install list. We could not believe it! We had actually ordered new laminate and carpet! Bryan made the whole process easy and painless! Woo Hoo! Now, our sights are set on the install. The day arrived and three men showed up right on time. They were professional, friendly and courteous. Seriously, a bunch of great guys. They respected my antiques when they moved things too, which I appreciated. You could tell they knew what they were doing! The install went perfectly! I love my floors! I love walking around on my new laminate which by the way is from Armstrong Audacity and it looks like real wood; it's gorgeous! The carpet is beautiful and the white laminate by Shaw in the bedroom turned out wonderful; just like I dreamed it! Before the installers left, one of them even fixed a spot on our entryway laminate that they hadn't even installed. These guys worked hard and did a spectacular job! They were in close contact with me throughout the process and kept me up to date on what was going on. The big hold up was receiving the parts from GE. Once they came in, this company was out here in a day or two and had me up and running. Initially GE had set me up with another company and they had taken almost 2 months to do absolutely nothing. They didn't show up for their appointment after I waited so long to get in with them, and then it was impossible to contact a real person. I was set up with recording after recording and automated crap that couldn't help and I couldn't contact a real person. Broadway Battery & Tire Service ALWAYS had a PERSON who answered the phone and ALWAYS got whatever information I needed back to me promptly. They called me with updates on when the parts were coming in and scheduled me quickly. They called the day prior with a reminder and to give me an estimated time of arrival, and they actually showed up and fixed a refrigerator that I'd been without for 2 months! I wish that GE had set me up with them initially, so that I wouldn't have had to go so long without a working fridge. I have no doubt that they would have had my issues fixed within a week or two instead of 2 months. Kudos to this company on their prompt and professional work ethic. Everything is priced well and the service is outstanding. The back portion of the business is the auto repair shop. The owner and mechanics definitely know their way around a car. And their tire repair service is second to none. Good, honest prices and quick service. I went in with nails in my front two tires. They couldn't be repaired (due to the nail placement), Dennis ordered two tires and had me running in under 24 hours. My husband had a nail in his tire, pulled into the shop no appointment and they had it patched within 15 minutes. If you want good service for your vehicle, tires or appliances, Broadway is the place to go. The new Meineke in town has NOTHING on this small town business.

They showed me a rifle once I provided my State ID and badge. But when I wanted to purchase the rile they asked me if I had "arresting rights" outside of the institution in which I didn't. So they decided I couldn't purchase the rifle. . . But the law is plain on its language of Illinois Dept of Corrections being able to purchase a semi-automatic rifle. Under Peace and Qualified Law Enforcement Officers. "Those section has also been amended to include Correctional Officers in Illinois, whether they be State or County". So for a gun business to pick and choose who gets to purchase by their standards an not by the standards of the law, let me know this business does not respect American citizens, the Illinois Laws and the Federal 2nd Amendment rights of an American Citizen. I will not patronize this business ever again. I drove to another gun shop that sold me the rifle with no problems whatsoever.
