A lovely coffee shop and bean retailer. They sell so many different varieties of k-cups for a keurig machine. Lots of different flavors of roasted coffee and have a selection of cold brew coffee-both brewed and coffee in a sachet for home brewing. The cherry on top of this welcoming shop is the menu of coffee you can order while you shop. I got a jersey devil which is a latte with hot honey and cinnamon. The perfect pre-Christmas coffee to prep me to go shopping.

These weren't the greatest donuts or coffee I've ever had, but what really tipped the scales for me…read morewas the price and most importantly customer service. I wandered in here on the 4th of July probably around 7am-ish after misreading Google Maps and taking an ill-advised walk from our Airbnb down a solid chunk of Route 9. (There was a pedestrian path on the other side of the road that looked very peaceful in comparison and I just didn't feel like crossing the highway to get on it - 100% on me). As soon as I saw the crowded parking lot, I knew this was probably the only mom and pop game in town - there's a Dunkin nearby at least - and that this was a locals place through and through. The interior is small, and it felt probably even smaller because it was packed with locals, all of whom were super nice to me. The door was held for me both going in and out, and milk was offered/handed to me for my coffee by a fellow customer. Any mild issues I had in moving around the room were negated by the hospitality. The back wall of the room and side counters are dominated by pastries, and there's a coffee station to the left of the entrance that's similar to what you'd find at a gas station convenience store - low maintenance for sure but gets the job done. The display of donuts behind the register caught my eye before anything else, so I opted for two of those - chocolate frosted and strawberry frosted. There were a few edgier flavors including a 4th of July themed blue one but I don't typically mess around with the classics. They were pretty tasty - decent size for sure, maybe a little cakier than I typically prefer, but the dough was on the airy side and I liked that they didn't skimp on the frosting. I grabbed an additional coffee for one of my top-tier chums (two of whom came to rescue me from a return walk down Route 9), and the total - two coffees and two donuts - came to a little over $5. We were all delightfully flabbergasted. That typically gets you maybe a caffeinated beverage closer to the city. Worth a stop for sure if you're in the area. In the low-key land of strip malls between Seaside and AC, I'd much rather go to a little standalone shop like this, as would my wallet.

There are a ton of interesting and unique coffee drinks, sweet breakfasts, and omelets. The meat lovers (ham, bacon, and sausage) was a bit salty, but a side of fruit balanced that out, and the sourdough bread was light and fresh. The tres leches pancakes was overindulgent but very sweet. The whip cream was too much as the pancakes themselves were enough of a treat. Some of the pancakes came topped with ice cream which is a mood, but I'm trying not to go too crazy. The service was great, and there are a lot of interesting menu items I'd like to try again. Coffee was kind of weak. Plenty of parking and clean bathrooms. It was quiet on a weekday, but I think there's really something for everyone on the menu and look forward to coming back.

The young waiter seemed helpful and knew the menu. That's the very end of the good part. Since prices were high side here, we expected good food made to our preference. After all, it was only simple breakfast. My wife's eggs ordered sunny side up and soft came over done and hard. My "sizzling steak" with eggs ordered scrambled Very soft came with the eggs not even warm and overcooked stiff. The 'Sizzling Steak' was anything but. It came in a sizzle type plate, but was gray and looked and tasted like badly boiled cheap meat. I say boiled because the plate had zero sizzle and it was drowning in lukewarm brown water. It looked and tasted awful. When I finally got the waiter's attention, he got what I assumed the kitchen manager. She was polite and seemed eager to right this. She had a second order made for me... That was worse than the first. Same overdone hard but barely warm eggs. This time they even tasted funny. Not good. The steak.... Another gray slab of very bad meat. This was The Most expensive breakfasts on their menu. As I write this, I'm still sitting with a sick stomach from the little I forced down of it. In small consolation, I asked for my breakfast cost be removed, as I wasn't going to let them try 3 times a charm. This was a first visit. But I honestly can't see attempting a second as we both feel stomach sick after.

There was a person in line that even said she drove over an hour away to experience this coffee shop. From the moment we arrived we were disappointed. The location is very small. We opened the door to come in but found that you could not fit more than 4 people comfortably in the shop at one time. We had to wait outside for about 10 minutes before we could even step foot in the door. My fiance ordered the Harvest Latte and I ordered the Gingerbread latte. Mine came with a little gingerbread cookie which was nice. The total was $15 for TWO lattes. That price is literally ludicrous for 2 cups of coffee. Price aside it came time to try our lattes and we realized what a bad decision it was to have tried Due-Back. My fiancés Harvest Latte tasted of the most bitter artificially sweetened berry you could ever have. It completely masked the coffee in the drink. My gingerbread cookie was good, but my latte? Not at all enjoyable. For some reason I could also taste berry in my drink. Possibly because the berry was in the coffee grinds from the previous drink and they did not do an adequate job of cleaning the grind basket in the coffee machine before making the next drink. Apologies but not worth the $15 at all. We will not be Due-Back any time soon.
