So I went here to meet a date this afternoon just to break the ice, maybe have coffee, see how it goes. Turns out she doesn't drink coffee, so she had a Diet Coke. I absolutely adore this place and I actually found a new place to get a haircut next door for a reasonable price so it was a win-win for me. They made me a vanilla latte, served in a real cup, it was excellent. They had homemade pop tarts!! So I ordered the Nutella one of course! Pastry was light and flaky, maybe a needed a little more filling, perhaps they could've heated it up more. The counter dude brought my order out separately. The place is doing great business. I love the decor and will definitely be back. I love mom and Pop small businesses, an antidote to Starbucks. Could be a great place to enjoy something to eat, have a nice cup of coffee, and relax with a book. Seems pet friendly too as a young woman brought a cute Boston terrier in with her. read more

What a unique vibe and theme this spot has! The staff was super friendly and provided a bunch of suggestions for us to try based on what we typically drink. Loved this place! Its in an unassuming location so I am glad we found it when searching for coffee shops. The drink list is extensive, with something for everyone. I had the Irish Rebellion, and they were able to make it decaf! My wife thought it was too sweet but that's why I loved it. It is a mix of coffee, Irish creme (no alcohol), and whipped cream. I'm told the standard cappuccino was terrific as well. We got the homemade pop tarts, which are a big upgrade over what you cna buy at the grocery store. I would not travel here just for the tarts but i think they are worth trying if you are here anyway. Be warned, they are much bigger! The whole cafe had a strong anti-establishment vibe and a unique character. I highly recommend. read more

I love cafe's like this. Good brewed coffee and specialty drinks with a solid menu. Food choices are Vegan, but don't let that scare you away if you're a meat eater. There are great menu items that will satisfy you. You may ask why the 3 Star review with all the praise? Well it comes down to a few things. While the food is very good, it's still a bit expensive for what it is and secondly, I despise forced table service. Look, you are a cafe. If I know what I want and come to the counter to order because there isn't a person specifically seating people, take my order. That 90s Gen X vibe has, like coffeehouses of that era, some rough edges but in a good way. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and sadly a friend and I had planned an outing. He got the cranky crabby side of me on this random Thursday. We set off on our trip and drive an hour to get to "this place" he found online that has great vegan food. I truly didn't want to drive the hour as gas is like almost $5 per gallon, but we did and when we pulled up the place is in a strip mall between an Ollie's and a HomeDepot. So yeah, I was annoyed. He said we don't have to go in, we can go elsewhere, but we drove an hour so as far as I was concerned, we were going in. Everything changed the moment I stepped foot into this place. The vibe is so good!! From the decor to the art on the walls, to the Jersey pride, to the offerings of coffee, tea, pastries & more the feel in this place was amazing. So we picked up menus, chose food and placed our orders. We couldn't stop looking at the art on the walls, created by amazing local artists. For real, incredible stuff!! Our very vegan friendly food was brought out to us and it was amazing. I had the freshest of fresh salads and my friend had some sort of egg plant wrap with a side of chips and guacamole. My bad mood disappeared like my salad. I was happy and in a state of deep bliss. Maybe I was just hungry or maybe the chill vibes of Rev Lounge soothed my inner demons. Whatever it was, it changed the trajectory of my entire day. We were not yet ready to leave so I went back up and got some tea, they have an amazing and extensive selection. I am a big tea snob and wow do they have something for everyone. Their selection is loose leaf, the real stuff not the fannings found in tea bags. I recommend the Jasmine. My friend bought one of their homemade pop tarts. He gave me a little piece in the car, oh my god it was so good. He offered me a second bit, but i was afraid if I took another bit, I would have to wrestle him to the ground for the whole thing. Great boutique cafe with a variety of creative caffeinated beverages and smoothies. The inside has an artsy, warm vibe. The food menu has a great selection for light lunch bites and some vegan options as well. I had the tropical waffles (happen to be vegan- and it was delicious), Crispy eggplant wrap with tomato pesto, and the Fruit/yogurt/granola bowl- everything was delicious. Revolutionary in this area can mean a few different things. The Revolutionary War, idiots who think Che Guevara is cool, or new and spectacular. Here is kind of a war on corporate coffee houses. It's a very hipster vibe, but honestly those places usually have great food. I stopped in for breakfast and got the pork roll, egg & cheese. I got it on a Kaiser roll, it was ok. A little bland even with the black pepper, and more egg than pork roll. I tried one of the signature drinks. The Irish Rebellion. It's a latte, I got it hot. Caramel, Irish Cream, it was tasty, but overly sweet. I probably wouldn't get it again. It's a nice laid back place. Looks like a good spot to have a conversation and maybe grab some pastries, which looked incredible. Overall though, I liked it, but didn't love it. read more

I came here one rainy morning and stared at the board awhile trying to figure out what to order. I settled on a black coffee and a muffin, as I didn't see anything that I really wanted. Later, I found out that there was an actual menu, which I wish the girl at the counter had brought to my attention. She did, however, offer to have my muffin toasted, which I had never done before oddly, but if I ever eat muffins again, it's the way to go. The muffin itself was too sweet for my taste, and kind of tasted like the ones you buy in bulk at Sam's Club. The coffee, I liked. It was smooth, warm and not bitter at all. I studied there for a few hours, and it was relatively quiet. I eventually had to leave because the lighting was not optimal to read at the actual tables but perhaps at the couches in the front if I were to do some light reading. First time visiting this restaurant. Got a chill vibe at first .. Menu had many options.. Food was good and desserts were good too. After eating was getting desserts and a coffee to go. Husband ordered coffee WITH milk. I heard him. When he got his coffee the woman said black coffee. He told her he wanted milk in it. She had to respond.."that's why I asked you if you wanted milk".. To start, yes the ambiance is very cute love all the art work. I was excited to try this place because the menu has a nice selection of vegan options ,but I honestly would never come back because the service was so slow. The person working behind the counter going in and out of the kitchen was coughing the entire time I was in there (maybe drink some warm honey water or pop a cough drop in ? ) We waited close to 30 mins for a wrap and a yogurt bowl, a bit ridiculous since there was only one other table that was already eating when we walked in. The food is usually good most days. Service sometimes is a little iffy depending on how busy they are. Servers are usually very nice just sometimes a little bit slow. Unless they prepare order wrong or take your order incorrect. Then they are non-attentive, avoid eye contact or coming back to the table. ( FYI I have been going here since they opened) Not a place to go if you want something perfect, and or fast.it is however a great place to sit, chat and hang out. Great vegan & vegetarian options especially the desserts. French onion soup is mediocre - mostly salty broth hardly any onion & not a lot of flavor . They don't do the cheese correctly either. I have tried this a few times but alas. It never improves. I do have to say most ( not all) of the salads & sandwiches are great. All the specialty coffees & different drinks are good as well. I have had a lot of them. & they're a bit expensive. However the regular coffee or coffee of the day specials. (if you ask what the special of the day is ) you can get free refills and some of the flavors are great. Wonderful place to look for local businesses board/card space available. Local art etc. They used to have events in the evening and bands, open mic night etc. unfortunately they do not do any of this anymore - I was told they make as much money Closing at 5 o'clock as they did if they stayed open late.
