East River 9 is the spot to go hang out, have a bite to eat, and play a quick round of 9-holes or hit at the driving range. East River 9 also has a restaurant along with a huge outdoor patio. We've been here several times and their cheeseburger is one of the best we've ever had! The only down side is it's a bit small for your average burger. One of the server's mistakenly thought it was a kid's cheeseburger. She even said they were the same size. The cheesecake tasted bland with a creamy milky taste rather than cream cheese. The only complaint I have was our server was rude and had an attitude. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name. She was unfriendly and short with us. I guess she didn't want to be there that night working, but I didn't appreciate her rudeness. I asked politely for a receipt and she just slapped it on the table without saying anything. However, Jaden was helping her and he was very attentive and offered great service! It won't stop us from coming here, we'll just make sure it's not in her section.

We loved all the challenging holes. The decor was colorful. The food was amazing! I loved the Texas Tailpipes, Korean BBQ Bao Buns, and Atlanta Hot Sandwich. I will say the table reservation was interesting. They have a lot of tables labeled reserved but no one is sitting there. I tried to ask a waitress about my table and said you have to reserve one and ran away. She didn't even let me finish my sentence. I asked another waitress and she listened to me and found my reservation and apologized for the other waitress' behavior. The manager did come by to give us some great service so we ended the night on a good note.

Due to traffic we ended up arriving closer to 6:30 pm but it was no problem. Because it was a Tuesday, the crowds were light. I bet it can get crowded on the weekends because it's such a cool place. We got our wrist bands and proceeded upstairs where there is a lot of restaurant seating and a bar. We decided to eat before playing and that ended up being a great decision. The food and drink were quite good! I had a Sam Adams IPA draft - perfect! The elote corn ribs, spring rolls, tuna with crispy rice, and short rib pizza were all excellent! The waitress recommended the elote corn and short rib pizza so we went with those plus a few other options. Temperature and texture and flavor of all the food items were on point. Now on to mini golf. The place has two sets of 9 hole areas. The holes get progressively harder. You keep score via an iPad at each hole. Overall, the most impressive part was the decor. It's obvious they spent a lot of money on the decor (and the place is just huge) and they've maintained the place quite well so far. Now you're probably thinking "fun place off Washington? I bet parking sucks." There is actually a huge parking just north of the Puttery building and the parking is validated by Puttery! It's like a dream come true. :) If you're looking for a fun date place or a group hang out, check this place out!

However, at 4:54 PM on the same day, I received a call from Alex informing me that our reservation had been canceled because someone had just booked the entire venue. We were simply told that we would need to reschedule or refund. Canceling confirmed reservations just hours before our scheduled time is unacceptable. It sends the message that if a larger-paying customer comes along, existing customers can simply be pushed aside. Unfortunately, it made us feel like Puttery values money and VIP status over honoring commitments to everyday working people who also spend their hard-earned money. We planned our evening around this reservation, and the last-minute cancellation was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I understand that private events happen, but businesses should honor existing reservations or have policies in place that don't leave customers scrambling at the last minute. This experience has left a very negative impression, and I hope Puttery reevaluates how it treats customers whose reservations are already confirmed.

If you happen to go and you end up on the top level, be sure to use all protection to keep from burning in the sun. My advice. There is a lot of room for everyone to be stretched out, no one in the way, and plenty of area for everyone to enjoy themselves. I found it so fun. Can't wait to go back. It was in a nice area it's very big. They even have Beck's Prime on the property just in case you need a break and something to eat.

I have played at this course about three times now, and each experience has been progressively worse. The customer service is virtually nonexistent, with Jonathan being the only employee who genuinely offered any assistance. The greens are in terrible condition, and the pace of play is poorly managed by the marshal. I lost a lob wedge and never got it back, even though I found and returned someone else's wedge. It seems mine was taken, which is incredibly frustrating. Additionally, the other guests were quite rude, especially towards those in my group who are new to golf. When I went to the range, I had to wait ten minutes just to get some range balls. Even the range poster is bad. The only positive aspect of this course is the golf cart, which has a GPS and provides yardage information--a nice feature. However, I will not be returning unless it's to retrieve my lost wedge. If you're looking for good service and value for your money, I recommend going elsewhere. read more

I wanted to take a shower after my round, but there is no locker room with facilities on site.

That being said, the value cannot be matched - even from most municipal courses. A round plus cart is only going to cost you around $30 and that price is even lower on the week days and in the afternoon. One of the other pluses is that you will have no problem booking a tee time basically whenever you desire. Typically, there are only a handful of golfers at the course even on a Saturday. The negatives are that this is a very no frills golf course. Many times there are large patches of dirt in the fairways and when you do find grass - it is essentially of the quality you would find in your back yard. The greens are particularly slow. I'm not sure what type of grass they use, but it might just be the same used in the fairway cut shorter - very strange. I know that they have been restricted on the amount of water they used due to the drought conditions. That could be a contributing factor. Even with these negatives, I do like coming out here regularly. I can afford to play this course frequently and you will rarely have a group behind you "breathing down your neck" because the tee times are so close together.

A very odd course layout, jaw dropping fast greens, none traditional course design, all makes this stand out as fighter jet ride that ends in a club house that has a bigger personality than Elvis and Vegas. Off you go on a par 5 that dog legs left then right. And if you ever make it to the green, u get a marble on ice experience that is sure to leave you wonder about the rest of the 17 holes. But a much needed break comes quickly as the 4th hole is a movie legend with a plaque to celebrate it's uniqueness. This stands on it's own like the TPC Sawgrass #17 or Amen Corner at Augusta. With a bit of imagination, and a challenge of the "going for it" movie theme from your friends, this is like top golf, except not fake like a Treasures employee.
