    Receipt!

Mobile App Order #01-000205-99-051993.Yesterday, my office received some coupons from Jersey Mikes franchise 708 England Street, Ashland. I ordered my husband and my food for pick up so once it was ready it was grab and go! I grabbed the bag in the online order shelf with my name on it looked inside saw two sandwiches and drove home. Once I got home, I started to eat my sandwich, but did not like the bacon on it (ordered 2 club sandwiches), the bacon was kind of burnt and messed up the sandwich, so I took it off and showed it to my husband. He looked at it and then realized that his club did not have bacon on it at all. He asked me to call the store to complain. I called, spoke to a very nice and apologetic associate named Sydney, she asked if I could bring the sandwich back so that they can make another one, I advised her that I live over 30 minutes away. She said that she understands and that I could come in to get a correct Club sandwich the next day, I advised I won't be in the office until Wednesday, so she said that she would leave a note for me to pick it up on Wednesday. I thanked her for offering to make it right and told her I would be there on Wednesday to get my husband his correct sandwich. He loves subs so he'll be happy. Today, I received a call from a "manager" she of course did not give me her name, called from 804-798-6290 at 11:02am, and told me that, she saw the note that was left for me to pick up a Club sandwich on Wednesday@ 5pm, but that I would have to bring in the sandwich that did not include bacon, as it was not made wrong, it just did not have bacon on it. I advised her that I live over 30 minutes away so that I would not be able to bring in a 3-day old sandwich (order was on Monday, 11/6@5pm and I was told I could pick up the do-over on Wednesday, 11/8@5pm). Of course, I do not plan to keep or carry around an old sandwich for three days, so it was dinner, my husband ate it, he waasn't happy with it but it was dinner. So, then she told me that I could come in on Wednesday to BUY another Club sandwich and they would add extra bacon. As their policy is either for me to bring in the sandwich (she repeated it was not made wrong, it just did not have bacon on it). The manager did not want us to have another "free" sandwich unless my husband did not eat the other one. That is absolutely ridiculous! I used a Bogo coupon only because it was placed in my hand. Someone like Syndney would be a great manager, she should be promoted, not disciplined, and she deserves her JOB! As the manager, the mean lady went out your way to take back what was already told to me, like it was my fault! Then after alot of back and forth, said that "to make me happy she will give me another sandwich". No thank you! As a manager myself, good customer service would have been to still give me the "redo" sandwich, on behalf of your franchise apologize for the mistake (actually admit that), even though your policy is for the customer to bring back the incorrect sandwich, in order to receive a new sandwich or give extra of the item that was left off the sandwich, next time. (because the old sandwich would have still been eaten by or thrown in the trash, which the manager apparently preferred for it to be thrown away than eaten). That way, as the customer, I would not be totally pissed off at your unprofessional attitude and distaste of that franchise. If you just had to call, you could have said "We are still planning to make your sandwich on Wednesday, but just so you know, our policy is not throwing away food so that the customer does not get to eat it in order for us to agree to make another sandwich), for next time, but to renege on what a customer was already told. Makes you unprofessional and extremely PETTY! Syndey, if you read this, contact me if anything but a raise or promotion happens. And reviewing the other reviews, making correct orders and customer service a problem already!

Ordered my sub on the app and took 50 minutes to get my sandwich people were coming and going ordering in front of me going and getting a sub and leaving within 15 minutes. After 45 minutes I went inside and asked where my food was and apparently they had lost my order then they found it again and made my sandwich. I got home only to find that they made the sandwich incorrectly with the wrong bread and wrong ingredients by then I was so hungry I ate it anyway but I doubt I ever go back it was once one of my favorite spots in Ashland

Normally this is our favorite sandwich shop. But when we wanted to order a single meatball for our 1 year old to eat, they charged us for the price of the full sub $7.65! Now mind you, if you do order the full meatball sub and ask for extra meat, they only upcharge you $2! When we expressed our displeasure with this pricing to the manager she said that's just the way it is. I don't think we will be returning to this store again.

The Mikes in Ashland is a little bit on the mediocre side. The Maryland shops have better subs and friendlier service.

I've eaten here twice now the first time I said, I would never go back, but I wanted to give it a second chance. This place basically does breakfast and if you only do one thing, you should be great and let's face it. Breakfast is one of the easiest things to make and do well but this place misses the mark on every level. First impressions walking in the door, the place is freezing cold even the waitresses all have goosebumps and who wants to sit in a refrigerator and be uncomfortable while you're eating? We walked in the door to a nearly empty restaurant with these big, beautiful sunny windows, but they sat in a dark corner while the booths in the windows were all empty. Business 101 people attract people put them in the windows so that they can have use and people can see that the business has customers!!!! maybe they didn't wanna sit us next to the windows because they were covered with greasy fingerprints that looked like they had been there since the last weekend and hadn't been cleaned. The glass was gross. The menu has all the standard fair that you would expect from a regular breakfast restaurant.... in Kansas. all very American. Nothing stands out as being gourmet or unique in a market where there's a lot of money and a lot of transplants who are used to better stuff than ordinary Americana breakfast food. The prices are a little high, but it's 2026. Everything's high. We order our food. I got scrambled eggs and they were hard as rubber because they were overcooked.! How do you own a breakfast restaurant and you can't cook scrambled eggs? I had the eggs returned and they did a decent enough job on the next batch but generally speaking the food was just barely OK. I got orange juice and it came in a giant glass and it was clearly from concentrate. Maybe that works in Iowa but at a specialty restaurant in a fashionable town I want fresh squeeze orange juice. I don't need 10 gallons of it. I would rather have a little juice glass full of fresh orange juice than a gallon of concentrated crap. I just don't think these people understand their clientele and they don't do anything special like blueberries for your pancakes.... There's so many things you can do with breakfast and they just did the bare minimum. It's so disappointing to have the restaurant with the absolute best geography in our community barely trying to make decent food or make customers comfortable in a clean environment. I was charitable when I gave them two stars because I actually felt bad. I want them to succeed, but they really need to rethink what they're doing and try a lot harder.

After looking for someplace close we found cafe54. SUPER close to campus. My eggs were ok. The corned beef hash was the canned kind just like I like it, because some stuff you can make fresh and fancy up but that preservative, war time taste just hits and you know I'm right. I had coffee that would put hair on your chest. and an Arnold palmer that was kind of watery. Oddly enough I found those traits acceptable. My son had french toast. This is only the 3rd time he's had it (by choice) and he really enjoyed it. While brunch/lunch was a 3.5 in my book it was a 5 for him There is no tap to pay but they do take the usual cash and card. So just don't forget your cards in your pants pockets and you'll be ok. The place was bright and airy with outdoor seating and the service was just ok. Decent place. You should go in a try it out.

First, I checked out the menu that is posted on the wall, and tried to make the right decision. EVERYTHING is homemade. Ok, I decided on the Tuna Salad on a white homemade yeast roll. You can select one side, so I had cucumber, tomato and onion salad. I couldn't pass up on fresh lemonade and a slice of one of the most delicious coconut pie I've ever had. The lady that took my order was soooo sweet and of course knowledgeable of the menu. I didn't feel rushed, just relaxed. Soooo we had the most interesting conversation that concluded her parents knew my mother back in the day. I didn't expect tears of joy at lunch. It was lovely! I didn't get her name, but I'll never forget her until I return with friends and family to experience this "small town" treasure. Ok, the food. The roll was golden brown, soft and screamed HomeMade. It was filled with a white flaky and well seasoned tuna salad, topped with fresh crunchy shredded lettuce. YUM ! The cucumber, grape tomato and onion salad had a lite vinaigrette dressing. Fresh !! There is freshly made strawberry lemonade, lemonade, Iced tea and the Pepsi fountain drink products. Ok, the star of the show. That slice of coconut pie was Perfect. The crust was brown, very flaky and filled with a thick creamy coconut filling. This little cute old town restaurant is next to the railroad track and train station that's across from Randolph Macon College. It's popular to the students and residents of Ashland. If you would like A DELICIOUS Lunch in a warm and cute small town restaurant, come to Homemade's by Suzanne!!!! Thank you
