Wow! Was I disappointed in my tuna on an everything bagel. I should have known as soon as I walked in. They had a low amount of bagels consolidated into one bagel cage holder. Like they were getting ready to close. It was 12:30 and they are open until 2:00. I asked for a salt bagel but of course they were out of them. So I chose the everything bagel. What I got was a mushy bagel with tasteless tuna. Not enough mayo and tasting like it had been sitting there for some time. Just terrible. I won't return. read more

We just moved to Barnegat and these are the best bagels in town! The staff is so sweet and helpful! The best well done, bacon, egg, white, and cheese I've had in a long time! it's clean the service is great and the weight was definitely a fair amount of time! Can't wait to go back! read more

This place has excellent cream cheese spreads! The olive is always my favorite, they put whole olives in! The bagels are good also. My mother had the everything bagel with egg and she really enjoyed it. The only reason I took a star off was that the bagel place was a mess and I had a piece of egg in my bagel that I crunched on. read more

I don't personally eat bagels, but stopped by to pick up an everything bagel and cream cheese for my boyfriend. Right away, I appreciated the warm and friendly greetings by the girls behind the counter. After placing my order, we enjoyed small talk. I noticed the owner, Danny in the front of shop talking with a customer, while still looking over everything in case someone needed his attention. He seemed on top of his job. I mistakenly forgot to tell the girls to toast my bagel after they brought it to me and apologized. Without hesitation, she offered to make a new one and i can keep the other one. They all genuinely smiled during the entire interaction and made you truly feel welcome. I introduced myself to Danny whom has a great sense of humor and genuinely-warm personality. I told him that he is doing a great job and it will be my honor to write a good review. He definitely has put a lot of hard work and hires quality employees. Oh yeah, the most important part my boyfriend LOVED his everything bagel. I don't eat bagels but can tell it was very fresh and was just made. My parents tried the extra bagel n cream cheese and thought it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! They were buying bagels elsewhere and will now proudly buy all their bagels from DANNY'S! Very fresh bagels, so soft and I ordered them after 11:30am. I've been looking for a good bagel spot in this area and there it is hidden near a wawa! I called my order in and it was ready when i arrived. They only have steak as a non-pork item, I would have given them 5-stars, if they had beef or turkey bacon. Not a bad choice if I'm in the area. Small bagel shop, they do have lots of flavors, but again it's a bagel in name only. No crunch. Too soft, it's a roll. I got a bacon, egg & cheese. It was made quick, wasn't bad at all. It was $6 though, which isn't terrible, but there are cheaper options close by. read more

Now to the bagel, I got the jalapeño and cheese bagel with sausage(egg allergy so no egg), husband got the onion bagel, egg and pork roll (like pork bologne). This place is ALWAYS good-my husband and i have been coming here for years. The food is awesome and the girls that work there are friendly and organized. Also, anything that Lauren makes homemade is outstanding!!! The giant chocolate chip cookies are my daughters favorite and she is constantly asking us to go get her one. Yesterday morning I had to go to Barnegat and thought I would stop in and buy some Bagels to bring home ( along with 2 muffins) WOW. is all I can say as they are the BEST bagels I have ever had, in this area. Love their bagels and creations the girls come up with!! I get an onion bagel, PEC w/ SPK, hash brown and a couple slices of bacon. The girls call it a hamburger breakfast sandwich! Stopped in because of the excellent reviews on a Facebook Page. Ended up there not long before closing. We were able to still get our favorite type of bagels. The girls were great and we met Danny himself. Had to buy the last piece of crumb cake too! It was excellent. We will definitely be back. read more

Best bagels at the shore and you CANNOT beat the service there. We ordered an array of bagels with butter, different cream cheeses, egg and Taylor ham sandwiches and they nailed everything. I ordered a bagel with the egg over easy and the girl accidentally broke the yoke so she gave us that sandwich AND made a new one with the yoke intact. Perhaps I was not dazzled with their bagel, or whatever. But they make solid stuff at a reasonable price. Also, they cook things near the counter, so that really speeds things along on a busy morning. Some places have their kitchens further away, and this tends to just slow down everything. This idea makes sense when you broadcast yourself as a bagel place, speed. I realize they have harsh competition with coffee, being as shitty Wawa coffee is right there. (That is another review for another time) Although I have tried theirs. It did not burn through the cup, so it was good to go. Face it, you are there for the bagels and speed. Also, I have never encountered an unhappy staff member. And I would routinely be there at opening time to be among the first to get a sandwich. (Since I worked over night hours and my last stop was that Wawa next door) TL:DR If you want a good bagel fast, with or without fixin's, stop in! I have been to this bagel store plenty of times since it is down the street from me and it's quick and convenient, but I will now gladly go out of my way to another one after the last few times. I get a simple order, a bagel with butter, every time without fail I pay $2.30 for a plain bagel because the amount of butter they spread on can't even be classified as calling it a bagel with butter. I tried something else one day, their famous cannoli desserts, I paid $4 or $5 for a SLICE of vanilla cake because there was no cannoli filling. Today I went again for a bagel with butter and instead of the usual quick time, the girl proceeded to make every breakfast sandwich order that came after mine and then did my order. 15 minutes for a bagel because again hardly any butter. I do not recommend this establishment and will gladly make the trip to another bagel place in the next town over. read more

NY Born and raised. Closest thing to NY style Bagels any where in this area. Staff is friendly and accommodating, cash only, limited breakfast and lunch hours, but it is a bagel place. It is not like people go out for Bagels for dinner. Best bagels around, fresh daily, and the dough is made there, not delivered. read more

Living away from home for an extended period of time really makes you homesick for the foods NJ does best. One of them is bagels. I will always buy my bagels from here if I am in the area because I have been given nothing but amazing service each & every time. Lauren even helped me place an order after hours for the next day so it would be ready for pickup upon opening. As a locally owned & operated business, I would rather go here than to any type of chain bagel place where I may be able to use my credit card, but won't get the same type of community oriented service... or the same fresh bagels. Everytime I head to this bagel shop I should prepare myself for disappointment. I mean what bagel shop doesn't have any plain bagels at 9am? It's not even like the staff apologizes or cares.
