I placed my order online so I cannot really talk much about service. However when I picked up my order I wasn't greeted, I was only asked what the name on my mobile order is. I ordered a #7 in a tub, Mike's way (no onion) bacon and extra pickles. While it was delicious, there was definitely not extra pickles...only about 4 pickle chips. My Sister and I tried these subs and we love them! We usually get lunch here every weekend. The staff, especially John are so welcoming and friendly. They even know our orders, so when we go in they ask if we want our usual and then they make it to perfection. All in all a great place with great food, service And employees. The online ordering is convenient and do a limited time they were giving 25% off those orders when you chose to pick up; That being said, the ordering customization process needs help, the store seems like a sub-par Quiznos meets a half-asses Subway. When you're in New York I don't see why anyone would voluntarily and eagerly continue to go to Jersey mikes when we have some of the best (and only) Delis in the country. It's not a bad spot, but I don't see a smaller hero at $9 making its way into my heart not routine anytime soon. read more

Meh, it's okay. I think they are overpriced for sandwiches, but my husband absolutely loves their subs. He was so excited when one opened up locally. They're definitely better than Subway with their food, but I find the service friendlier at the Subway we go to. We've done subs a few times via Door Dash for both pickup and delivery and the food is always pretty consistent. For me it's a 3 start experience, but hubby says 5, so I'll be kind and give them a 4. :D read more

I live in Queens and unfortunately we don't have any near by, so whenever I'm back on Long Island visiting friends and family I always make sure to stop in for my favorite sandwich, turkey and provolone "mikes way" (lettuce tomato onion oregano oil and vinegar) I like this place much for than subway because the coldcuts are actually fresh and sliced when you order in front of you, not just sitting pre-cut in a bin. This location in particular has very friendly staff and they are very fast when you order either in person or for delivery. Definitely check them out! read more

There is a lot of hype surrounding Jersey Mike's Subs. Prior to going, I took a look at the menu online since I've never been. I decided I wanted to try the BBQ beef sandwich. Of course, this location didn't carry that sandwich. Most of their menu consists of different variations of cheesesteaks and I wasn't feeling that. I tried the Club sub "Mike's Way" which is lettuce, tomato, oil, vinegar and additional spices. It was so good, fresh, and the service was good. The price does reflect this as it is much more expensive than Subway. $9 for a 6inch. However, they do pack it on and I was full after. If you're lucky enough to find a coupon, you can get buy one sandwich, get one free. Next time, I'd try one of the cheesesteaks. read more

Let me begin this with a fun anecdote. When I moved to NY from NJ (seems like another lifetime ago) I went into a shop somewhere in Queens and ordered something and asked for it on a hoagie roll. The guy was like what the hell is a hoagie, you mean a hero?! And I was like, what the hell is hero?! You mean Superman? Anyway, this place makes great subs, heros, hoagies, grinders, and even sandwiches. It is not really the real thing, I mean you will obviously get a better cheesesteak off South Street in Philly, but these guys at this shop do a great job. The touch of nostalgia is great being a Jersey boy and all. It's got the chain feel to it because it is. It reminds me of a MUCH BETTER subway. The sandwiches are as good as it can be. But I do have 2 points of criticism (not complaints). Only 2nd time here but they don't have black pepper and instead offered oregano. I wasn't sure if I heard right because each employee from the person making the sandwich to the condiment person to the cashier all mumbled. I had to keep saying "what?". I am not hard of hearing but these kids need to speak up and be clear. I have to go other affiliates and know the routine and know they try to be quick but felt bad for the old lady behind me cause she was not a regular. Decided to try this one day on a recommendation from a friend. The staff was friendly and the wait time for the sandwiches/wraps to be made was quick. It was more expensive than I expected for what was ordered. (I would rather pay the same price for one of my favorite sandwiches from a local deli.) I tried their tuna - it was a bit watery and had a lot of pepper in it which I personally was not a fan of. I have read through other reviews, and while I agree that the staff at this location have a tendency to be rude, and the prices a bit high, I feel that the food is worth it. Before going, you need to have the expectation that you are going to spend more than at Subway. The major difference is, Jersey Mikes packs their subs. Not just with vegetables, but with fresh meats and cheeses. I have been here many times and have never felt like I did not receive my moneys worth. There are coupons in a number of places, including the back of grocery store receipts. The best ones are for buy one, get on free. However, this is the area at this location that costs them a star. Employees get agitated when they see you using one of these coupons. They act as if the money is coming directly out of their pocket. But, if you can get past the employees, I would recommend this place over a Subway restaurant any day. read more

I was so hoping for this place to fill the void of the missing hero shops of yesterday. After a lot of fan fare and advertising I was tempted to try. It's not terrible but here is my honest feedback. The meat is your typical franchise low end low cost cold cut. It's not the high end boars head type that you would get and for the price they charge you would expect better quality. The price. This is the most egregious part of Jersey Mike's, are you ready for this 16 Dollars for the large Sub. What?? (A long drawn out Whhatt?) Normal size after tax is about 10 bucks, still crazy. It's just way too high for the quality, now they are fresh cut so it's a step above subway, but we know how much Subway charges. The wait. Because they fresh cut the wait can often be far too long. I waited over a half an hour for three sandwiches. No kidding. The staff. They seem preoccupied and untrained. They often forget what you ordered by the time it gets to the register. I am unapologetic about the following statement, the one thing that really irks me is when a service employee says 'what did you order again?' There hasn't been one time in the three that I've been here when the person ringing me up doesn't make me go through my whole order again. Lots of room for improvement here. But sadly the price:quality:service ratio is broken here. With such a high price they need to up either the quality or the service. This was our first visit to Jersey Mikes and we were super pleased! We ordered 4 different heros so we could sample a variety. All were delicious and generously sized (regular size was our choice). The ruben was the best ruben I remember ever eating. My husband raved about the phillie cheesesteak too. So pleased to have a franchise opened in our area (Bayport) and I see many more visits in our future. Ordered for the 1st time last night since my regular hero shop is closed Mondays. Ordered over the phone. Out of 3 "subs" they got one wrong. It cost me nearly $27 for what i consider 3 half hero's and one was given to the dog,(he liked it). Yes the bread is fresh, the cold cuts good and works (mike's way) were right but give me a TJ's hero any day over a Jersey Mike's sub. I get full hero, Boar's Head cold cuts, the works and exactly what I ordered for a better price. I shan't be returning.
