There are white squirrels everywhere. There are also regular brown squirrels too. My wife told me about this before we got here but it's strange, there are so many of them. One of the oddest things I find is that there are no mixed squirrels. Like kinda brown, or kinda white, it's either one or the other. They hang together, surely they get it on. What the hell is going on here?!?!? Where did they come from? Why haven't they spread to other areas?? Anyway.... About this bakery. We stopped by here a few times for meals and snacks. Most of it was just pretty good and nothing to really write home (lol) about. I did not know this at the time and did not truly savor the moment well enough. I had the absolute best pastry I have ever had in my life here. I often think back to it and when I see a similar looking pastry only to be let down when I try it. Service: We were warmly welcomed and served from the minute we entered Veranda. All the staff was soooo friendly and passionate about what they do. I felt right at home! You can also tell this is a place where locals go because some of the staff knew guests by name. Food: The food was fantastic. I had their 'Hungarian Mushroom Soup' which was delicious!
