When coupons come in the mail, we definitely head over to Subway. The last few times, I noticed the small print on the coupons regarding what is excluded, does not match with what we're told by the person behind the counter. When I question this, he says again there's only 2 types of sandwiches covered by the coupon... the cold cut combo and black forrest ham. Really? Where does it state this on the coupon or anywhere inside Subway that this is what's included? It doesn't! If that's the case, the coupon should read "All sandwiches excluded, except for the cold cut combo and black forrest ham." Because of this, we didn't use the coupons and our bill was quite expensive. Very disappointing. What I also noticed when ordering was that the ingredients are now selected for the customers. I thought we were allowed to choose what ingredients we wanted on our sandwiches? Even with the protein wraps, there was just 3 vegetable ingredients included. I would have liked a few more on there, but that wasn't allowed. What is happening with Subway? The prices are expensive, the ingredients are skimpy and now I understand why most of the time we go there, we're the only ones in there normally. That should speak volumes. Sadly, I really have no desire to continue going to Subway. My advice is to make sure the coupons match with what the person behind the counter says is covered with those coupons. Also, let the customers decide what ingredients they want on their subs. I sent the same message to three points of contact for Subway® and not one of them had the decency to answer me back.
