New re-opened!! I loved this place before and had to try it again. This is a fast food restaurant, however, it's made to order. It's fresh. It's delicious. The restaurant is extremely clean, the service is very friendly. What we had: *grilled chicken Caesar wrap with sweet potato waffle fries. *crispy buffalo chicken wrap with French fries. *hamburger with French fries. *chicken strips with onion rings. So disappointing... Been wanting to go here for some time and finally was able to. Went through drive-thru. Placed order, no problem. Went to pay and asked for horseradish for my beef and cheddar. So far, so good. Then we opened the bags. 1) the fries were awful, cold, soggy and incredibly salty. 2) ordered 3 sandwiches, a hamburger, a cheeseburger and a beef with cheddar. The hamburger was incredibly salty. The cheeseburger was incredibly salty. The beef with cheddar was...you guessed it, incredibly salty, also the "cheddar" was about the size of a nickel on the sandwich, so pretty much it was just a beef sandwich. 3) the drinks were like...you know when you get a pop with ice in it and as you drink it, the ice slowly melts, diluting the pop and its flavor? It was like that. Ordered 2 Dr. Peppers and it seemed like we had gotten the bottom of a soda pop tank that needed to be changed. 4) and sure enough, I didn't get any horseradish. After a couple years shut down and boarded up, one day this location magically re-opened again out of the blue. After a couple weeks, we decided to give it a try for lunch. What a mistake that was. Despite our goofy simple order (pork tenderloin, burger, two fries, two drinks), the operation was a disorganized mess and they could not get food out in a timely manner. My burger was ice cold. This tells me that the burger sat in the bag while the tenderloin was in the fryer. The french fries were equally tepid. The drinks were filled to an inch below the rim. What's worse, upon opening my sandwich and chewing on the first cold bite, I found *what appeared to be* green MOLD on the bun. See photos. Gross. Food returned. Refund given. NEVER again. UPDATE: I was subsequently informed that a marker or a pen had exploded somewhere in the kitchen and that ink was all over the hands of whomever touched my food which was then given to me to consume. I think that's even worse. This implies total lack of hygiene and use of foodservice gloves. Do not go here unless you have to. Drive-thru system didn't with well. We asked a few questions at intercom because it was our first time like, what was on a certain burger and girl kept asking what? Stopped recently to take advantage of some opening specials listed on Facebook. We both had cheeseburgers and fries and all were freshly cooked. I love Beef-a-Roo!!! I'm very excited to have one much closer to home now. I think they are know for their Roast Beef sandwiches and cheese fries, but the mine is much broader than that. The salads are delicious, and an excellent healthy fast food option. My favorite menu item though is the Turkey Avocado Sandwich. The avocado is always fresh, the bun is full of seeds and grains, the turkey, pepper jack cheese, spring lettuce are great but the sauce and tortilla strips put this sandwich over the top...it's just the best sandwich anywhere. We love the sweet potato fries, waffle cut, and the regular fries are good, skinny cut. There are lots of dessert options too including a ton of shake flavors. Check them out! They are a great addition to the growing Dundee food scene. The workers are friendly, and although it's a chain, it has a very family friendly feel. read more

First visit. Upon walking in, my first impression.... the floor was filthy and they honestly needed to send someone out to mop. I'm talking noticeably dark marks that were likely something spilled and then people walking all over it & leaving their shoe filth on all the sticky spots. Nonetheless - we stood back & tried to decide what to order. This is problem #2... no descriptions of anything or what is on a sandwich. Like... what's on a Wild West Beef or what's in a Harvest Chicken Salad? No one wants to repeatedly ask what an item contains - and no one wants to guess. Especially for picky eaters - or people with dietary restrictions. I even looked online - nope. Nada info there either. I will say, the loaded fries are tasty. Could use a bit more of the ranch. But they were fresh & tasty. The roast beef was also good... very similar to Arby's. But... lacking something. Maybe it's because I like Arby's sauce... I dunno... More like casual dining. The menu is pretty big, it may take a minute to figure out what you want. We ordered then sat and waited while the food was cooked to order. I have been in 3 times since they have opened and I will for sure be going back. I am an understanding person and I get (unlike some reviewers) that there is training and a learning curve. But I've been in retail most of my life, and I totally get it. The staff has been super friendly and kind. You guys rock! The food gets better every time I go. We have tried the Beef, Beef N Cheese, Fries, Loaded Fries, Bacon Cheese burger, Mahi Sandwich, Mahi Wrap, and Onion Rings. Every time we are like darn that is good I'm going to get that again! It wasn't busy. The cashier was very welcoming and friendly. Our food came out very quickly so the service was very nice. I got the chicken tenders and fries, it was good! My favorite thing about this place were their fries. It tastes and looks EXACTLY like McDonald's, just less saltier. So good. I've had bacon cheeseburger and mushroom Swiss roast beef. They were both really good. The fries are amazing, especially the cheese fries. Reminds me of steak and shake but they are generous with the cheese sauce and it's creamy. The milkshakes are seriously the best part. I really thought Beefaroo was going to be the typical fast food restaurant, and I am so pleasantly surprised at the menu options, and the service! I have been here a few times now and every meal was fresh and very good. The blackened mahi mahi is every bit ad good as you would find at a more "upscale" restaurant. The steamed broccoli is fresh, and tender crisp, as opposed to many places who serve it with fake butter and overcooked to mush. I had it plain, and it was steamed just the way I like it. I have also had a burger on a gluten-free bun due to a minor sensitivity to wheat. If you are extremely sensitive to gluten you should probably avoid ALL fast food, but in my case I just need an occasional fast food meal with a gluten free bread option. The gluten-free bun is a bit heavy, but otherwise good, and again, I'm just so thankful to have the option. The burger itself is not bad for a drive through, and the ability to customize it and add grilled onions, guacamole, and other good stuff just makes it tastier. I plan to try their meatless burger sometime soon because I like some vegetarian dishes every so often. The other comment I have is about their service. I have been through the drive thru 4 times, and the staff is polite and helpful, and they have never gotten my order wrong. It's important to mention that I never order anything the way it's served lol, I like to add things and customize. I never mind parking and waiting a few minutes for the food because they cook it fresh, and it's totally worth the wait. It is definitely a great spot for a good and quick bite. I went here and the restaurant was quite busy. I really wanted to eat their food because I hadn't had it in years, so I decided to go for it. The food from here is really good and just like fast food, but definitely one of the best. The service was slow, yes, but the food was fresh and hot. The burger I ordered was literally fresh from the grill because it was hot and fresh. The portion was really huge too. I specifically ordered their bacon cheeseburger and I liked that they put a lot of bacon on it and it was cheesy as well. It was really delicious and tasted really fresh. The feeling of eating it after a really long time was just a great feeling, and it did not disappoint because it tasted as good as before. I also ordered some fries, which were good too. The food was great. Prices are reasonable. The place is clean, and the atmosphere and vibe are just something nice. The only downside I can mention is the slow service, because, of course, the restaurant is packed with customers.
