BEWARE: NH Dept. of Health is investigating this location. Numerous people including my family had their Christmas holidays ruined due to norovirus or food poisoning from food bought on 12/23 and 12/24. Many folks in town reporting and talking about the violent vomiting and intestinal issues lingering for a week. BEWARE! 1/13/26 UPDATE: Although you can see they reached out to me and want me to contact them, there is nothing that can really be done at this point. Not looking for money or a year of free subs. The unfortunate thing is they have taken no responsibility for the issue. In fact their store manager did an interview and stated they received a clean review and although some employees were sick it was not during times when they were working. This denial of responsibility is ridiculous. They should have publicly apologized and said they would do better to make sure this never happened again. Big missed opportunity. The 2 people working were friendly and the girl making cold subs was attentive. I had to tell her she used the wrong roll, I requested the rosemary roll. There wasn't much for toppings on 1/2 of my regular size sub, the shredded lettuce appeared a bit "rusty" , and I was concerned how long it had been sitting out, uncovered, the tomatoes too. Even more frustrating is that my rosemary sub roll was really hard, not at all fresh. Which I didn't find out until we got home to eat. My husband was satisfied with his cheese steak sub and said his roll was soft and fresh. We would have stayed to eat there, but the tables were all dirty, even though there were no other customers there when we went in, just the 2 employees. I feel that over $30.00 for 2 subs was too much for the quality. We've had much better quality at 2 other Jersey Mike's sub shops in New Hampshire. read more

So, having been quite excited to see my favorite sub chain move to town, I really hope that the extreme skimpiness I experienced here was just newly-opened growing pains and lack of training, and not by design. Just two weeks back, I was standing in Jersey Mike's in South Portland, and marveling at the size of the club being built. There was so much bacon on it, for example, that I might have removed half and saved it for a later meal - and the rest of the portions were similarly generous. This gels exactly with my memory of this chain in other states as well, and why, along with the quality of ingredients, I was looking forward to the opening of this location. I ordered the supreme club here, regular size (medium). The turkey was almost adequate in portion, the roast beef far less so, and I got two strips of bacon. Two. What you see in the pic was half the bacon and half the onion on my entire sub. Three times, as it was being prepared, I asked for as much vegetables as they were allowed to stack on (as I could see by the meat already placed on the sub which way the wind was blowing). My sub had four undersized tomato slices, for example, and when I asked for more, the kid took off the slices (threw them back in the tomato bin) and replaced them with four slightly larger slices. Even at Subway, (the lowest form of sub on Earth), if you ask for extra veg, they will gladly stack it. Sure, they put out a lesser product, but it's also a much cheaper price tag. If I'm going to get two medium subs and pay over $20, with average tip, I would really hope that the product looked half as large as the pictures on the menu proclaim, and on par with other JM's locations. The taste was solid, but this just left me disappointed, and most likely headed to On the Vine, right down the road, for a better value and product. The woman taking my order was super nice, but that's where the good vibes ended. I might try back, in a few months, to see if training has improved or if it's just this location's policy to cheap out on ingredients. Will update if/when that happens. Absolutely love Jersey Mikes! I've never been to any other location, so I can't compare, but the portion sizes are pretty big and prices are super reasonable. Even the mini sub is pretty filling for a smaller meal. My favorite is the #8 Club Sub--the ratio of meat to tomatoes/lettuce is great, bread is never dry, lettuce and onions taste fresh, and the herby red vinegar/olive oil vinaigrette (Sam's way all the way!) tossed on the lettuce perfectly cuts through the creaminess of the mayo and provolone. Can't speak much to the ambiance or cleanliness of the location, because I've only pick-up or delivery, but service is quick and always consistent. read more

Like so many other reviews for this location, my special requests were absolutely ignored. I ordered a number 13 original Italian with banana peppers hot pepper relish and pickles to be added. None of them showed up on the sub that I eat when I got home. This was a disappointment as the sub itself was OK but would've been much better had my special requests been honored and applied. This was a $20 giant Italian. They have my special requests ignored is simply poor performance and poor management of this particular location. I will try them again, but only when I have time to wait in line and watch them make my sandwich. This removes all of the convenience of the app, but it may at least I'm sure I'll get a sandwich that I actually ordered. Also, I ordered it Mike's way... There was no oil, no vinegar. Just a really sloppy way to make a sandwich that cost $20. I'm really not that impressed. read more

I really enjoy Jersey Mikes, I've never had a bad experience, and always been satisfied with my food. However, I decided to try ordering on DoorDash since it was convenient at the moment for me, what a mistake. I ordered the #65 and paid extra for more portabella mushrooms. I usually get this sub when I go there so I was really annoyed when I opened my sub to see there was literally 1 mushroom on the whole sub! I definitely will never order them in DoorDash ever again. While out doing some shopping and taking a ride yesterday, my wife asked if I was hungry and wanted to stop and get a sandwich. I agreed it was a good idea and she brought up the Many great comments she's heard from coworkers at the hospital she works at about this sub shop. To our delight, the comments were correct and the sandwiches were very good. The rolls were fresh and the amount of quality cold cuts in the sandwiches was as expected, fresh and plenty. We'll be making this a regular place to eat when looking for sub sandwiches. We paid about $0.75 more for each sandwich at MOE's than we paid at Jersey Mikes. The small price difference is well worth it considering that Moe's actually puts meat in their sandwiches where Jersey Mikes sold very skimpy sandwiches at a premium price. read more

Looking for a decent hot steak and cheese? This is a good as it gets and I had a really good steak sandwich. Bread was a little flakey and light and thus made a mess of me, but the flavor was spot on. The young woman assisting me was pleasant and quite fast in preparing my meal, but it would have been less awkward if she asked if how I wanted it (add lettuce, mayo etc). I will return as the place was clean, friendly, and offers a good steak sandwich/sub/grinder/poboy....what ever you want to call it. read more

Jersey Mike's is the best! High quality and quantity of meats, and they have the best fresh-baked bread. They even have gluten-free bread. It was super busy when I went but that's probably because they just opened a couple weeks ago and the word is out. I have the app on my phone and ordering ahead is definitely the way to go. Yesterday I bought an Italian and was asked if I wanted it Mike's Way. I said yes...it was my first time at this Sub Shop. For me, the excess of everything, especially the lettuce and the oil and vinegar spoiled what could have been a good sandwich. It ended up being a sandwich with extra soggy bread and not what I expected when ordering an Italian. Would guess that the excess is the result of poor training, or someone trying too hard.
