My friend Tammy & I met our friend Jen here for lunch on 08/04/2025 after Jen had asked me if I've ever been here before because she had heard good things about this place & I hadn't. We arrived around 1100-1130 & the place wasn't busy. We were greeted by a blonde lady upon our arrival & seated right away in their dining room. We were handed a bunch of menus. Lunch, specials & drink menus. Our waitress was Holly & what a breath of fresh air our experience was with her. Not to long ago Tammy & I had gone to another restaurant in the area & the waitress there was horrible. Holly took our drink order & it didn't take that long for our drinks to come out. Soda for them & a seltzer for me. Holly asked us if we were ready to order but we got caught up in talking/catching up so Holly knew we needed some more time so she told us "when you're ready to order place the ketchup bottle @ the end of the table to indicate to me youre ready." I LOVED this idea!! Once we placed the ketchup @ the end of the table Holly came right over & took our orders. We did find that their menu prices were way overpriced. Pretty much everything was $14.95 or higher, even their desserts, which I found ridiculous. The appetizers' were pretty much the same price as a meal. I was craving a BLT but not for the price they were charging for bread, tomato, lettuce & bacon so I went with the turkey club for $2.00 more which was delicious. I was only able to eat 1/2 of it & took the other 1/2 home. I substituted the fries for sweet potato fries which were very tasty. I asked for some mayo on the side just in case the cook didn't put enough on my sandwich & Holly didn't tell me but you will be charged .50 cents for it. I wish I knew I was going to be charged extra for a side of mayo because I wouldn't have ordered it. Jen got a grilled portabella mushroom sandwich which looked amazing & she really enjoyed it. Tammy got a steak & cheese that she liked too. We all had to take what we didn't eat home. They had fries & homemade potato chips which were tasty. We didn't get dessert as the prices were too high for our liking & we didn't think it was worth it since we just got our meals for the same price. Holly came back over soon after we bit into our meals to make sure everything tasted good & we had everything we needed. It didn't take her long to come back once we were done to offer containers to take our leftovers home. I was trying to be sneaky & pay the tab for everyone & happened to tap Holly on her leg with my CC when she came to the table.....she knew right away what I was asking but my friend Jen caught me......lol but it was too late she was off with my CC. Our bill came to $72.97 with our 3 meals, 2 sodas & 2 Nutrl's plus tax. The service was excellent & Holly knew what she was doing so that was a really enjoyable experience having a great server. Food was good but too expensive as I mentioned earlier. The restaurant is big which also includes a huge bar area with a big seating area. Tammy & I went outside to check out their outdoor patio in the back which also had a small bar, lots of tables & a stage where they do entertainment I believe Thursday-Saturday nights. While we were checking the patio out Holly had come outside because she was also waiting on customers out there which was very far from where we were sitting inside....Telly's is lucky to have Holly!! I'd definitely come back to this place to try a different item on their menu. I think that it would be fun to hang outside for a band on the weekend. Ladies restroom was clean & had plenty of hand soap. The restaurant was also clean from what we could see when we were walking around. They even had an area where they cooked their pizza'a in brick oven in the bar area. read more

The chicken salad was the best ever. Dried cranberries,candied walnuts,and Granny Smith apples. It was the best. Telly's is a very nice restaurant with ambience very comfortable. My first time at Telly's. I was hoping for a much better experience but it was a bit mediocre. Our pizza was served to us cold. Not even warm...like room temp cold. It tasted pretty good just wish it had been served to us before it cooled off. One of our drinks was not served from the bar but it was charged on the bill at the end. We ordered the chicken parm which was very good but the pasta was served with a plain tasting marinara over it. Not the worst experience but was hoping for much better. We had dinner there two nights visiting with friends before leaving on our snowbird journey to Arizona for the winter. I had not been to Telly's for about 35 years. Last time I was there prior to the recent two visits Telly's was pretty much a small sub and pizza fast food restaurant and now it's a real restaurant. The first night with friends, I had the eggplant Parmesan sub with homemade chips. My husband had a burger with fries. My husband said his burger was okay, nothing special and the fries were those coated things that are supposed to be extra crispy. My husband I both dislike those. My meal was absolutely wonderful! The sub was delicious and the homemade chips had some kind of seasoning on them and they were out of this world so my husband ordered a basket of them since he didn't like the fries. He and one of our friends shared them and they both really enjoyed them. The next night meeting other friends, I ordered the Italian cold cut sub with the homemade chips and my husband decided to just have the buffalo chicken appetizer as his meal. He said the buffalo chicken was amazingly good and he enjoyed every bite. My meal was another story. I took the first bite of my Italian sub and all of the meat slid off the sub because the meat had the plastic casings rather than natural casings and whoever cut the cold cuts left it on. I stopped to remove all of the plastic casing, reassembled my sandwich and moved on with dinner. Then I ate one of the chips and realized these were not the same chips I had the night before. They appeared to be and tasted like maybe Cape Cod kettle chips which I don't like. So I didn't eat many chips. Servers on both nights were pleasant and attentive. I didn't mention my concerns to them at the time as our friends had picked the restaurant and I didn't want to be a wet blanket. However, I think management has some opportunities to make this place excellent every day rather than hit or miss. read more

After driving by this place for the last 25 years or more I decided it was time. I got takeout. Staff was very nice and the bar inside was decent. Shepherds pie was delicious and seemed very fresh. Pesto chicken salad was tasty but I could've done without the red onion knives into it. The fries though! They were awesome Huge portions and huge menu. Overall good! I ordered my gf pizza online and asked for it "well done". I have to do this because if not, the dough comes out half cooked in the middle. My husband went to pick up the pizzas and he could tell that it wasn't cooked well done. Not all the way done at all!! When he asked if they would cook it more, he was told he would have to wait another 30 minutes because they were busy. That's not fair! For the prices you pay for the pizza (and it's a lot) you should get what and how you order it or it shouldn't be an option!! No mom should feel badly and still have to cook on Mother's day! I was very impressed from the minute we walked in the door. The service was excellent and the food fabulous. I ordered a small pizza that had a crust any Chicago native would be proud of. My mother ordered the shepherds pie. I have never tasted anything so good. Nice relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely be coming here again. read more

Extremely saddened by my first visit to Telly's today. I can say with confidence that I will not be back. My group of 6 were coming back to Epping/Exeter area from a lacrosse play off game. We wanted to find somewhere to sit and eat after a long day, but recognize many restaurants close at 9. We called Telly's at 8:30 asking if they could take us if we were there in the next 10 minutes. We were told by the women on the phone that the kitchen closes at 9 and the bar closes at 10. Upon entrance at 8:39, we immediately stated that we would be able to order quickly (clearly acknowledging the inconvenience of our later arrival and ensuring we would order before the kitchen closes) and were given a strange look by the hostess who said she needed to go ask a manager (even though we purposefully called to see if they could sit us because we didn't want to be an inconvenience.) The hostess then started setting up a table and when we sat down at 8:44, our server, Sarah, said something along the lines of "I am going to take your food order and then get you drinks. The kitchen is about to close." We were taken aback by our server as upon sitting down, we had not even glanced at the menu. We all looked down at the menu and after a few seconds went by of her staring at us, I smiled and asked if we could get some water and said we would be ready when she got back. Meanwhile, there are still several tables eating and enjoying their food and in fact, several tables were still eating upon our departure. If the employee's didn't want to sit another table, then they should have told us it was too late to be seated. Especially with two servers in our party, our entire group was absolutely appalled by the way we were treated. Even if I was frustrated with a customer's late arrival, they would never know. Telly's lost frequent customers this evening along with negative WOM. Moral of the story: Don't sit customers if you are unwilling to give them standard service. Before it burned down more than a decade ago, the food was average. Since then, it's gone downhill. It's by no means a place to expect anything more than average pub fare. Went here last night as a spur of the moment decision. We were out trying to find a restaurant and everything around had long waits, with Telly's however they were also busy but made a great effort and got us seated outside. We were in a hurry because we had somewhere to go after and the waitress was kind and prompt making our drinks right away and taking our food orders. We were seated outside but underneath a nice heater which made the whole experience very lovely. The food was pretty good, i had gotten the chicken Asiago cheese dish and it came out very cheesy and delicious. The only thing I would critique about the plate was that the chicken was not very well seasoned but that didn't ruin the dish for me. This is a purely bar/drink review. It was fine. I was told it was a good place for a mixed drink and great beer list. It was fine. Drink was a whiskey drink and it wasn't bad but was too sweet. Beer list was not to be bragged about. Bartender was very nice and made the drink well it just wasn't great. Seems like a great place if you are already a regular, they seemed to have a great time but nothing special for me. I do hope to go and try the food but probably without a drink. read more

It's been over a decade since my last time here. The interior was clean and inviting. The service was friendly and attentive. My wife had the lasagna and thought it was very good. My son had a burger and thought it was a lot of food. I had a small pizza which was very good. The beer selection was wonderful. My only complaint was that the drinks were soooo weak, I'm not sure there was any alcohol in them (and they are not cheap). Because of that I would recommend staying with the beer options. read more

We waited 5 more minutes and decided it was time to leave. Never got served water or rolls. Never saw the waitress. So instead of being angry and we decided to just leave. Been here before the pandemic and the food was good. I'd always get a pepperoni pizza. Came. Ack today and had the same pizza. Pizza was terrible. The sauce tasted like spaghetti sauce. The cheese tasted like American white cheese not mozzarella. The dough was not cooked. Should have rejected the pizza. Had an odd smell to it because of the ingredients. Too bad because this could be a reason to avoid this place again. At least the grilled chicken meal my guest had was good for them. Maybe I should have got a sandwich instead. Was dissatisfied once before with a pizza I ordered a year ago, but decided to give it a go one more time this week. Went hete with my son for a pizza. Owner is cheap. Wants his cooks to skimp on pizza toppings, but charges premo prices for the pizza. What's the point of ordering a pizza with pineapple and bacon to get a few tiny pieces of bacon on the pizza? I told the waitress and she said "yea, I don't know why they always do that, next time just order extra bacon". Rather than trying to remedy the issue I had with the pizza. I was surprised after when I got the bill and was still charged full two topping price of nearly $30 for basically a cheese pizza with like 20 bits of pineapple and 5 bits of bacon.
