Quick eats in South Florida - 1 of 2 Among the sandwich chains, and I'm okay with eating at most of them, I prefer the "Js" - Jersey Mike's from the East Coast and Jimmy John's from the Midwest. Jersey Mike's has slightly more decked out sandwiches and Jimmy John's has the "less is more" taste on their good bread they bake in the stores. Either of these usually get 4 stars, but this Jersey Mike's gets a strong 4 stars. First, the store is newer, has a clean interior, and there is parking right in front, making the South Florida situation for such places analogous to the one in Southern California. (I always make these comparisons when I'm in South Florida.) The location is excellent. It's on Federal Highway north of the Financial District around Broward Blvd. and south of Sunrise Blvd. where the A1a bends and weaves through that intersection. The sandwich was made to order from among those on the menu board and customized a little by the ingredients from among those called "Mike's way." I always opt for their rosemary bread. The employees were efficient in doing their work and also polite. The prices are in the middle of the pack of the many chain stores making sandwiches, hence fair. This Jersey Mike's 4 stars are "stronger" because the store is so tidy, should you choose to eat in, and the location is excellent. I want to make sure I try different sandwiches at JM I've seen up on their menu board, so I put a small list in the notes on my phone - cold sandwiches 7, 8, and 13 and hot sandwiches 16, 17, 42, 55, and 56. Read online that the best sub at Jersey Mike's is the Club Sub, so I went to try it. I ordered pickup online and ate in the restaurant during my lunch hour at work. My food was ready when I arrived and the staff was friendly. The dining room was bright with a fair a mount of tables. The only downside was a few of the tables needed to be cleaned. I thoroughly enjoyed my Club Sub sammich, Mike's way, 86 onions. I will definitely return to try the Italian sub with the pepper sauce. read more

When I find myself craving a sub, I order one directly on the Jersey Mikes app and I walk over and it's waiting for me on the counter. My go-to is the turkey and cheese, Mike's way of course, plus I add l even add more additional toppings like jalapeños & the red pepper relish - it's delish. I also like the steak or chicken portobello philly if I'm feeling like something hot. They have a great selection of chips including spicy dill pickle and flamin hot cool ranch doritos. We had seen 100 commercials for this place and it always looked good so we decided to wait no more to try it. Sandwich shops are tough to rate for me because this area has a couple really outstanding, very long time, family shops that have the 5th star sewed up. But I have to say the quality and price at Jersey Mikes was excellent, and we have been twice recently because the BLT sub is so great, and the location near downtown is really convenient. I was impressed at the amount of bacon, everything was fresh and delicious and a large sub is big enough to split. They say it's the most popular sub on the menu and I see why. The quality control seems excellent, both subs were ready fast and perfectly prepared. Solid four stars. Give it a try. read more

4-21-23 1pm Was next door getting my nails done so figured run in here to get something to go. I was starving so got a Giant Jersey Shore the Jersey way. Because frankly that's the way you get it in Jersey and the only way I get them. Now they were kind enough to cut into four pieces and two days later and still have the last quarter in the frig. Note to self the Giant is way too big! I love a Jersey sun and it literally transports me to NJ. It is always fresh and delicious. Love the bread and all the toppings. Even the lettuce is shredded lightly just like home. So glad they are opening more locations. I literally can go to four different ones depending on where I am that day. Every location and this one is no exception are always clean and everyone is friendly just like Jersey. Jersey Mike's is a really great sub shop! I really like that the deli meat is cut fresh. I enjoy the ease of ordering with the app and how quickly it is delivered when I am on calls all day. The turkey with provolone is my favorite. The manager I've spoken to there, Tara, is just wonderful! She is very attentive to any feedback or issues that have happened with door dash. First let's begin with the attitude and energy of the staff. Everyone looks so tired and lacks energy. In comparison to other stores, this store started out with high energy staff and now comes off as transactional. As an Operations Manager, this store is low functioning when it comes to employees engagement with its customers. Second, the employee with the braids had an attitude that I didn't even feel wasting my energy on. She put toppings from a sandwich while my wrap was next to it. No regard to cross-contamination. This isn't a soup kitchen line, be more friendly and lose the attitude. Quit if you do not find your job satisfying. Third, ensure your team is pleasant like the store off Andrews and cypress creek. If you want to know why you don't have 5 stars, consider the feedback. Everyone's jobs are hard, if you could take a step in my shoes, you'd get it! The best subs. The store in Pompano Beach is awesome. Fresh bread - good quality turkey and provolone. They ask which toppings one wants - pickle; onion; tomato - for example. They toast it. I have been gone to Jersey Mike's for a very long time... the one I enjoy most is at 648 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304. Customer service is always great. Food is awesome... I get a 99 which is a chipotle cheesesteak, and the big kahuna cheesesteak together. It's kind of a secret not anymore... It's so good! I highly recommend coming over to this store. read more

I got a giant Philly steak and cheese which is 19$ and some change. I asked for provolone cheese they gave me white American, I asked for it to be cut in fours they didn't. They slathered my sub in mayo the whole sub was disgusting. The place is operated by young people possibly teenagers at least that's what their attitudes and demeanors give off. I would never come back my experience was awful. I should've stuck with my first mind and went to the Jersey Mike on andrews near pompano Beach I've never experienced anything like this from there. This place needs some serious structure, pretty sure the owner had no idea then again they probably don't care!? Anyways... 0 stars I do not recommend and will never be back.
