The location and ambiance leaves you wondering how the food is but once it arrives you will soon see it is the complete opposite. The inside is clean and has some decor, the chairs were a little wobbly. We ordered a Reuben with fries, and Italian chopped salad, some chicken matzo ball soup and an order of potato pancakes. All had amazing flavor and the portion size was large enough to share. They may have the best fries. They were hot, crispy, and had great flavor. The waitress was kind and service was prompt. We came here for brunch on our last day. It was a weekend and they're definitely a popular spot, not to be confused with the wannabes in the area, trying to use the same name, yet don't offer pastrami that is cured in New York, all the way from the Bronx! When we pulled up, we lucked out with great parking. We knew immediately that they were packed and seating inside would be slim pickings. We grabbed a table and Brooke came out to us immediately, greeting us and taking our drink orders. She was definitely overwhelmed but at the same time, she was extremely welcoming and didn't make us feel as if we were a burden, which I immensely appreciate. I had an egg scrambled with salmon and a croissant, which tasted great...it was a simple dish and I was happy with it. Hubby had their, BEC on a roll, and loved it. It made us miss home. Our kiddo had their French toast with a side of sausage, and they did not skimp on the sausage. Monks Liquor is right next door and you're able to BYOB, so we grabbed a couple of mini prosecco bottles and had some mimosas with fresh orange juice. I'm updating NY Deli for the 3rd time, but this time I've got one thing in particular to emphasize - corned beef! I know I've mentioned it before, but I do try delis wherever I am, and in my opinion, this deli's corned beef is the best corned beef anywhere. I know they prepare their own, and I honestly have no idea how they so consistently serve corned beef this flavorful, tender, and juicy. I've had terrific corned beef in New York, LA, Chicago - but this is the best corned beef. Period. Everything else about NY Deli remains better than ever. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, with no pretensions, and every menu item is still delicious. My wife always enjoys the ham and cheese breakfast sandwich, which she claims is the best of the best. I have no idea where NY Deli sources its french fries, but they are the kind that I think are called double-fried. They arrive pleasantly crispy on the outside, yet soft with a fresh potato flavor on the inside. I don't want to go on and on yet again. I can just tell you that every year when we spend several months in Fort Lauderdale, this is my favorite restaurant to keep returning to. I was charged extra for cheese, ham, and cream cheese. This 'deli' has gone through multiple ownerships and, being a local and talking to locals, they have advised us that it has become really bad---i disagreed ..... First time I had lunch today, always breakfast for the last 20 years, and it was beyond bad quality with the server/who was also the lady working behind the counter, just a single person doing everything, with an attitude of 'it is the same chef so I must be the problem' well time to change that--the $20 'French dip' came out ice cold --I guess it went in to micro wave and it was hot but tasteless -they fried the meat and placed under a press making it a at effort with no taste. au jus gravy was a greasy, watery liquid that also came out ice cold. Avoid and spend your $20 on many other choices near by--the bad attitude also as lost me as a breakfast customer--shame on a place that use to be the neighborhood go to place. Place is not too big or small, has a nice variety of breakfast and lunch. Didn't realize they serve breakfast until 2pm which was GREAT however after 11am they do not serve poached eggs (not sure why waiter didn't even know why she just said that's what the chef said). This place is the perfect neighborhood secret! Amazing Jewish deli with surprisingly crispy and delicious French fries! The Omelets are huge! The bagels are jam packed with food and toasted to perfection. I literally get cravings for their nova on a toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. I hear it's new ownership and that may be the root cause of what made today's visit horrible and lacking. There was barely any meat on both the hot pastrami and hot corn beef sandwiches. They used to come with pickles. Not today. They used to be large. Not today. They used to be delicious and, if fatty, it would melt in your mouth. Not today. The cole slaw was inedible due to the overpowering vinegar taste. The potato salad was really good. Perhaps the only "highlight" of the visit. The food hit or miss the omelette was meh the oatmeal was average, the spicy chicken sandwich was good but not served on a toasted roll and the sauce could use a little tweaking. The other two sandwiches we ordered came out "chopped" figure we would try something new.... Don't my Italian and my daughters turkey club were basically salad place on untasted buns to get soggy and in my opinion only serve to minimize the amount of meat on the sandwich saving cost. The food at the deli was tasty. The only issue is timing! We called in an order for pick up and we're told half an hour. We went there a half hour later and they made my egg cream and gave it to us. After sitting at the counter, I walked out after being ignored for 10 minutes. It was lunch time on a Sunday and not busy.

Ordered online, showed up, ignored me for 5 minutes and they didn't even start putting the order in the system. Oh and btw, go to the reject corner because you aren't allowed near the counter. Was not bothering anyone, wasn't in the way, just sent in a corner because they didn't want me there. I was waiting for so long, waiters were confused about me being someone waiting for a table. They upgraded their ambiance a bit, but their service was absolutely trash. No food is worth this, a disgrace to NY Delis, by brand or by location. Edit: the owner doesn't seem to be very honest either, as if I wasn't there listening to the people next to me and how they weren't referring to me, or how they were on their phone complaining about current events, or how I was watching the staff there blatantly ignore me, and only put it in 10 minutes after I was there already.
