Went here for lunch. The restaurant is clean and bright and lots of people in line to order subs or salads. We ordered a tuna salad sub and a chicken salad in a bowl. Toppings were liberal as were the portion sizes. Everything was fresh and tasty. The staff were accomadating. Prices reasonable Something for everyone, steak, chicken, salami, ham, vegetarian portobello , swiss, and provolone cheese, etc. choices. Most cold cuts were fat free. The rolls were soft and fresh. I am having a bad day today as we just buried our son this past weekend. I am realizing that grief doesn't wait for a quiet moment -- it hits wherever it wants, and today it found me at a counter trying to pay for a meal on the first day I have gone out of the house by myself since he passed January 13 of this year. I was trying to pay through the tears then these strangers -- Brian and his coworkers -- stepped in with humanity instead of awkwardness, compassion instead of distance. That kind of kindness isn't small. It's the sort of gesture that reminds you the world still has people who see others' pain and choose to meet it with warmth. Brian not only paid for my lunch but offered a hug, a moment of connection, and a sense of "you're not alone" says a lot about who they are. My son's loss is enormous, and nothing makes that easier. But moments like this -- people showing up without being asked -- they matter. They gave me a breath when I didn't know I needed one. I hope their management realizes how very valuable these employees are and how grateful I am they were there. Food was great as always. read more

Today, April 7, 2025, around noon, I stopped in this location for the very last time! My prior review was about the customer service on another visit, now all I want to do is give these employees a great big hug. There were 4 employees on the line today and they all looked almost terrified, not smiling at all. Not one of them looked happy. I guess they weren't working fast enough, so an owner jumped in to assist at the beginning of the line...the order taker. Before this, the order taker had taken the order before me and left the refrigerator door open. "Close that door and always keep that door closed." the guy yells at the employee, in a very brusque manner and loud enough for the dozen or so people waiting in line to hear. I actually made a joke about the closing the door statement when I placed my order to alert him of how loud he was. He just kept up his slicing frenzy, proving how much faster he was than the staff. Seconds later, he yells at the SAME employee who went in back to grab something: "No, use the one out here." Again, loud and OBVIOUSLY annoyed with this person, now evident to the entire store full of lunch time customers. To my surprise, this employee remained calm, but he was clearly embarassed. (This is when I would have taken off my apron and walked out the door). Just last week I picked up a sandwich and I could hear this guy yelling from the back about how much time this employee had to finish the task. When it was my turn for condiments, I asked the condiment guy for mayo on both sides and the owner yells over to me "next time let us know before we cut the bread," is what I thought he said. Excuse me for requesting mayo on both sides when every other JM the maker flips the sandwich adds the mayo and flips it back over. What's the big frigging deal...I want my sandwich the way I like, without some control freak yelling at me about MY order. If this 18 year franchisee owner speaks to his employees in this manner, more important, belittling them in front of his customers, no wonder he has such a high employee turnover! This makes me curious about the perpetual "join our team, help wanted sign" in the window. Who wants to work in this hostile work environment? This jerk is down right mean and nasty to his staff. It's no wonder they all looked afraid of him today. This location certainly doesn't need my business. I don't need to witness this kind of abuse of power or be harangued about some mayo. I'm sure this is why this location has the perpetual "join our team help wanted sign." Quite the team....one I wouldn't want to play on. Just read his reply to my first review. What a bunch of crap....and they still use the same knife to cut all the sandwiches without wiping it off as I watched all the orders before me today. On the Jersey Mikes take out bag it states "Of course everything is served with a smile" Well, not at this location, store 7029, Fort Mill, South Carolina....no Southern charm here...more yelling and denigration when all you want is a damn sandwich. My wife and I ordered online and waited an hour for our sandwiches. To be fair they were busy and we would've left if we didn't pay online. They kept making sandwiches for everyone coming in but not sandwiches that had been ordered online far in advance. Just shows you their priorities. We also stood by counter for 15 minutes and no one acknowledged us. And when they did they told us just a few more minutes. No apologies given on the wait. We probably would've gotten our orders through if we started complaining like other people in the same boat. Worst Jersey Mike's and totally unreliable. (1 star review) Update: by the end, one of the workers realized that we had waited for an hour -- gave us free drinks and a cookie and apologized genuinely. That's much better customer service. So wouldn't you know it....Jersey Mikes was about to close and yes....I walked in to order six subs. Summer was there and as I apologized for entering about 10 minutes to close, she quickly assured me that it was no problem and that they were not yet closed so feel free to place my order. She was genuine and no where near aggravated. She thoroughly took my order and made each sandwich just as requested. Jersey Mikes is always great and bread always fresh. The team is always efficient and on top of things there. I earn lots of Jersey Shore points as I order quite often. Mikes way is the best way! All the employees are nice there including the young lady who assisted Summer....I believe the next day I was in yet again and Addison assisted me......he too was uber nice.....you picked a great team there! I'm a big Jersey Mike's fan. I feel like all of the Jersey Mike's have a consistent quality of their products and probably the best sub chain around. This review is aimed more at the general cleanliness of the restaurant. The floor mats (3) looked like they had been around since the Coolidge administration and had collected every crumb since. The floor looked like there was some type of film on it as did the table tops. I watched one of the workers rearranging chairs in the dining area while I was getting my sandwich but I'll be damned if he wiped one table top. So when I went to sit down at one of the empty tables (they were all empty btw) I had to sit with someone else's cruddy mess. I suppose when you hire kids to run the show without holding anyone accountable this is what you get. Why would anyone want to buy a franchise just to hit below the status quo? I see this far too often in this industry. The conditions in the front of the house mirror the back of the house. My suggestion for this location: put someone in charge. Make them accountable. Check up on them. I can't imagine that you can't find people who take pride in their work. read more

Love Jersey Mikes and I support several different locations around the area however the customer service yesterday was poor. My mother purchased 2- Giant cold subs for a late lunch. She had a community coupon book that was purchased earlier in the year that had free chips and drinks. We were doing two orders and of course one of us went in due to covid to order and reduce exposure. She asked to purchase the subs separately and use both combo coupons, they told her no. In the time of her ordering they knew she was a nurse too by conversations! I've worked in the the restaurant industry for quite some time.... if you look at it from a cost of sales point of view, she spent $32 on two subs.... the chips and drink cannot be more than .75 at cost and that's still on the high side. It quite honestly was ridiculous for them to turn her down to use a redemption coupon of so little. I look at it this way if one mini or regular was purchased maybe I'd say no too..... but $32 for two giant subs and the customer is a person of service during this time, I'd take care of your customers- especially during this Covid pandemic when my mother is on the front line helping people in need! Were we at any other Jersey Mike's the sandwich would have been piled high; at this store on this particular night you could barely see the meat. The lettuce they had was brown and wilted, the tomatoes were dry. I spent twenty-eight dollars for THREE SANDWICHES, and I could have easily traveled to the Publix across the street, gotten larger sandwiches with more meats and a better selection of toppings and paid a lot LESS. I'm from the South and have traveled to Phili, New York, etc, and while Yankees do pretty much everything wrong, they do food right. Yankees have the best sandwiches, seafood, bagels bar none (cept BBQ). Jersey mike's is good but it ain't all that. Prices are high too. I still do very much enjoy a good sandwich. read more
