I stopped by this Jersey Mike's and they were all so helpful and just fantastic and I appreciate them being as wonderful as they were. I highly recommend this location for their fantastic service. Wow! Since Fire and Spice closed I have had a hard time finding a good Philly Cheesesteak Sub near Irmo and Lexington. So, I decided to follow a recommendation of several fellow foodies. With low expectations (I thought they were cold subs only), I decided to try try Jersey Mikes on Broad River Rd near Irmo. I was extremely shocked when my cheesesteak arrived. They call it the Big Kahuna and it was it loaded with an excellent flavor. It had beef, onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños and cheese that were cooked to perfection! Definitely top 5 ranking. BTW, if you like a little ketchup added, bring your own as the don't have packets. It was so good, ketchup was not needed. I will be back! read more

I've always LOVED Jersey mikes subs and how they prepare their sandwiches. I have been to this location several times. I've never had a bad experience and the quality of the food is always on point. This location stays clean and I'm always greeted upon entering. Customer service isn't "world class" but it's not bad either. I love a good cheesesteak and this place is pretty good. There are a few things I would change about their customer service but the staff is mostly younger people (high schoolers)who work there so...that's slightly understood. They are pricey and more than I'd want to pay for a sub so I don't go here often unless I really have a taste for a cheesesteak. They are cleaner than Subway and the ingredients are fresh. The customer service, pricing, and the fact that they don't have ketchup in a bottle are the things I would like to see changed. read more

Update 3/5/2020: Management has contacted me and assured me the staff has been notified of the noted infraction and there has been implementation to changes in practice. This is definitely the hallmark of a good manager. I will be back to order a meal to confirm that preparation practices have improved. I have always held JM in high regards; however, my experience at this establishment failed to meet satisfactory standards. The experience started off well. The young woman who made my sandwich greeted me kindly and was polite. I noticed that she had long fake nails that tapered into a sharp point. The excessive length and pointed nature caused her nails to protrude through the gloves, leaving them exposed while she made my sandwich and reached into the communal vegetable containers. Fake nails should not be permitted in the food service industry. Fake nails are not permitted in the medical community since they harbor large colonies of bacteria. This was unacceptable. She either didn't notice or didn't care. Either are unsatisfactory. It is her responsibility to ensure quality control during food preparation. She failed to be observant in her duties and breached her obligation to a customer. I ate part of the sandwich and then opted to discard it for safety reasons. read more

I usually hit the Jersey Mike's in West Columbia, great subs, fresh ingredients and great service. Maybe it was an off night on Broad River but the lettuce was floppy and edging towards brown. The almost empty tub of mayonnaise was just gross. I had the #6, roast beef even seemed like it was th tail end, more fat than I have experienced. Walked in and it took 15 minutes before anyone even spoke, there were 3 customers, including myself, not swamped. Between 6:30-7:00, not sure if I would visit this location again, shame is, this one a mile from my house and I could ride my bicycle read more

I went to the store at 7241 Broad River Road today with the intention of buying eight subs. But as soon as I saw three of the employees wearing their masks below their noses, thus breathing potentially infected breath on the sandwiches they were making, I just turned around and left. I was really disappointed because we all enjoy these subs and this store is the one we usually patronize. But with the rate of COVID infections rising I was not even tempted to order from these folks who failed to follow prescribed safety guidelines. I just went and got a sub the girl cutting the meat was extremely friendly and welcoming when I came in the door the guy making my sub was dumb as nails didn't listen and had an attitude. The girl that wrong me up was not very friendly and when the gentleman cut my sandwich and wrapped it up and twisted it in the bag he just threw it on the counter and didn't hand it to me. I had given this Jersey Mikes a 5, but I have come to take it back. The food is fine, it's good, the service used to be good, the prices are ridiculous! The service was the worst I have ever had in a sub place. We ordered online (as usual) my husband went to pick it up $32 for two giant subs, ouch. First the order was not made, the reason? No white bread. Previously they would call the number on file and ask you if that was ok, not just wait until you got there. Second they had to ask him what came on his sub?! The menu is above their head!!! So then they tell him there is no bacon. Ok already paid online, that sucks, he's livid now, ordered online so it would be ready yet it wasn't so he was stuck waiting for his order that wasn't made because no one knows how to make it or to call the customer and inform them there is no white bread. Really? Ok so he goes to sign but he pitched a fit and they gave him one of the subs free. I will also say there was a line of others waiting both for online and walk in orders. So he gets the food home. No pickles. I put my own on. 3 jalapeños (this is a giant let me remind you, and I had planned to save half for lunch) the meat is just kinda balled on, not like it usually is, I can tell there is about half the amount of what we usually pay for. I had to dig to find the cheese that was so thinly cut it was transparent. I ordered extra cheese. There was barely a slice. This was a rotten experience. What a waste, true we got the order half off but the whole ordeal was a train wreck. Would have gone someplace else had we known what would take place here tonight! Pls hire better employees or train them. They couldn't even figure out what went on it let alone make it. The subs itself are really good, but the only thing I wished they payed more attention to was when they make your sub on the table, nothing under it...just the table itself. That is very unsanitary. They are also pretty slow. read more

Don't waste your time at this location. Just tried to get a sub to go for lunch. The line was backed almost to the door because the associates work as slow as molasses. They can't even keep the orders in line. They mixed up my sub with the lady in front of me. Granted that lady didn't even know the damn difference between a turkey and cheese versus an Italian, smh. The manager did nothing to help the confusion except stand at the cashier register, scolding his incompetent workers what they need to be doing right in front of all the waiting customers (so professional). I love this place - my "go-to" stop for sandwiches. I typically order online, and arrive 20 minutes later with my order ready-to-go. This is a great location. Plenty of parking and friendly staff. Note that the prices are a few dollars higher because of the food quality--I don't know of many sandwich shops that cut their meat fresh just for your order. Highly recommend! read more

The food is good but WOW are the prices pretty steep for a sub! I got the smallest size available for the Philly ("regular") with extra cheese and chips (no drink) and the total came to $10.30. When I asked if that was rang up correctly the girl behind the counter copped an attitude and said I "had extra cheese" which was $1.00. And when I said that seemed kinda high for a "small" sandwich and chips only she snapped back that it's a corporate price... And then went on to say (again with an attitude) that it's a SEVEN INCH sandwich, not Subway..!!! To that I said I wanted a "mini" size, but they don't offer that size for the Philly, so don't tell me how big the sandwich is... I also said I won't be making this mistake again...!!! My first experience was a pleasant one. Came in around 12:30 on a Wednesday afternoon and the place was packed. The employees were pumping out sandwiches left and right. They were very prompt and polite. I ordered "the original Italian" and a "super sub" for my husband. The price was a little high for a fast food sub, but it was piled with meat and a good size. If you like 3 of the same thing all made incorrectly and hair in your lettuce this is the Jersey Mike's Subs for you. 3 sub clubs exactly the same sandwich. 1 had zero ham, lol a club is supposed to have ham. 1 they did give it a slice of ham. The 3rd had equal ham and turkey. None of them had any bacon. Zero bacon, btw a sub club is supposed to have bacon but lol maybe they just make it different? (Is wrong different, possibly yes) I asked about what can i do to get my money back since I paid for bacon and ham and got neither. Lol the young lady started to tell me how she cut the meat and knew she did it right. I don't care, tell me how do I get my money back. She offered to remake the order(2nd opportunity to fail and I wasn't interested.) Apparently the only way to get your money back is to waste your own time and bring back the sandwiches. I used the app to avoid wasting my time, also the selling point of the app itself. So I hung up because we were already eating our sandwiches. Hence how we knew they were wrong. That's usually how it works, but I guess I gotta crack open each sandwich before I leave a Jersey Mike's Subs and check it myself (more time wasted). But upon further review they did add the cucumber we asked for so kudos to them for that. But also with the pile of lettuce in each sandwich, 2 black and grey hairs were found. Congratulations to this location for being a completely and utter disappointment and disgusting to boot. I won't come back to this location. And I may never go to another one. Tried their Philly cheese steak, not bad but Firehouse subs has an EXTRAORDINARY cheese steak sandwich for a to-go order. The location was clean and both employees were friendly. Not a bad place to get a quick bite although I must warn you they are a bit slow so if you are in a real hurry you may have to wait a while. read more

I'm actually from nj, and this is as close to "home" as I've gotten so far. It's not a real deli sub by any means, but the cold cuts are of fair quality, sliced well, and the service was very good and fast. Kills Subway by a mile. For now, it is my go-to for italian subs. A little expensive, but the size of the sandwiches are worth the cost. Would definitely go again. Just don't get oil & vinegar on it. The bread is average and will disintegrate quickly. Put it on at home if you're carrying out. Other than that, good job! read more

Good luck with the staff. They have someone who has been there a while and most professional. However you can also get a couple of teenagers not caring. The food quality is good, service is spotty. The taste is addictive enough to constantly forget about the staff issues. If you order by phone, expect them to get the order wrong with toppings. Can be issues with allergies and not overlooked without skipping an expensive sub. This time when they got it wrong (Monday) my wife called back. She heard snickering and could tell it was teenagers on the phone. They told her she did not say it the right way. They said they would have the replacement right then and ready for pick up. Of course, after traveling all the way back it was not made. Then they asked if I wanted it Mike's way, which was how they made it wrong, so they never even wrote it down. Even after the trip back, no apologies. Mistakes happen (unfortunately regularly for call in orders), but the way they talked to my wife and mishandled it afterward made me embarrassed for them. They had no care. Maybe we'll remember to go to the one on St Andrews. Longer drive, but less than twos trips and rudeness. read more

The food is always enjoyable. They always are accommodating when I ask for extra pickles on the side and the spicy sauce. All the employees are super nice. I will say please for the love of my ear drums please turn down the music in the restaurant and bathrooms. I'm giving it to stars because the food is good and the establishment is always clean but who the hell is going to pay nine dollars for a half a sub. I could've went over across the street to Publix and got a full sub with boars head meat for two dollars less. I go home to New York and go to the deli's by me as the same price for chicken cutlet with roasted red peppers and fresh mozzarella cheese and it's double the size of a small ass little sub I got for the same price or more! We used to love going here. But lately they cannot seem to get our order right. We place the order online which you would think would be very simple to follow. The past couple times it has been botched completely. And when we get there to pick it up it's not even started yet half the time. Think we have given up trying to give them more chances.
