Rude Service, Mediocre Experience I've been to Jersey Mike's a few times, but this location? Absolutely awful. They weren't busy at all, yet the staff acted like I was bothering them just for asking questions about the menu. No greeting, no effort, just straight-up attitude. Now I see why this place was empty. The sub itself? Meh. The meat was fine, but after dealing with that kind of service, it didn't even matter. If I could give zero stars, I would. Visited the Dahlgren location today, and wanted to get the large size sub in a tub. I didn't want the bread. I was told that I couldn't get that size in a bowl although I have gotten it before. No one could tell me the reason why I couldn't get what I wanted. There was nothing written to say that I couldn't get a large sub in a tub. I would have been fine if I was given an explanation. Big mistake! Had a great experience on the last visit. Not this time. We were looking for a quick carryout lunch while heading south on US 301. Boy! This is not the spot to visit on a weekday lunch time (11:30 AM). There was hardly a place to park, it was as crowded as all get out, and the to-order line rivaled Disney World lines. We backed out of the lot and headed down the highway. The food here was good on the last visit and the store is big, bright, and clean...but do not, do not attempt a weekday lunchtime lunch time. Jersey Mike's is always consistent and thats what i love about it. We always order the #13 The Original Italian. Comes with Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni. We like to order a giant sub on wheat bread and have it prepared Mike's Way (Onions, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Vinegar, Oil and Spices) with mayo and pickles added. Just left JM's and felt compelled to write about my first time. I made a quick run out to grab something after 8pm. The area around was a ghost town. I'd not eaten, so I figured I'd see what's good in jersey. It was really close to closing and almost all else had rolled up the sidewalks and bounced. I was just about to drive off when I saw a customer at the counter. I walked in and immediately figured out that the manager had made the decision to start cleanup to get the crew home...on January 1, 2024. The one single customer, had dozens of options but asked to have them turn on the clean grill for them. I worked in a place like JM way back in my teen years, so I would NEVER have asked such a rude compassionless request. The rock star manager never once flinched or hesitated and fired up the spotless glistening cold grill. When our subs were done the rudeness was apparently not. The customer now with fresh hot subs in hand, began to question the discussion between employees and the quality of the food we both saw prepared in front of our eyes in the building with four people in it. They thought they heard some disdain in the air about themselves. I realized it had been my thoughts they'd heard/read in the air about thier behavior and inability to read a room. Your crew deserves a thank you and a compliment and probably a couple of gift cards for dealing with someone so not deserving of the poise and professionalism I saw offered that self centered whiner. Son got a Philly Cheesesteak and the proportion of bread to meat was poor; and the proportion of jalapeños to meat way too high. It made for a poor deliverable. Suggest paying a bit more and supersizing meat or getting a wrap since the thinner bread would bring proportions into better conformity. Definitely ask them to be judicious with the jalapeños--even if you like the green spicy vegetable--since too much of a good thing can be bad. read more

I like this location. The staff has always been exceptional anytime I've stopped in. And for being located right outside the base...getting slammed during lunch hours- they still manage to rock it. Whether I'm craving a sub-in-a-tub (salad-style) or an actual sammy, it's always made perfectly here. They greet everyone that walks through the door while going above and beyond to make sure your order is made right. Great job, ladies and gents! Thanks for being awesome. read more

I placed a order for the giant Philly cheese steak sub. They gave me 2 seperate subs. Talked to Manger and he would not take care of the issue. They were very rude with me. All he was saying nothing I can do. I'm never going here again. This location is the worst restaurant in my area. They over charged me. Charged me over 20.00 and change for 2 small subs. I got ahold of corporate let them handle this. read more

I just watched someone enter the restaurant behind my husband with no mask. There's clearly a sign on the door which reads, Please wear a mask! I am a fan of Jersey Mike's Subs and no matter what, I will continue to be a customer because I find the subs tasty. The Jersey Mike's Sub shop in Dahlgren is a nice addition to the area. It's in a new up and coming shopping center and it's right next to Five-Guys. There isn't much parking in front of the shop, but you can park in the bank parking lot right across the store. The shop itself is very clean and the staff is very friendly and work hard to make your sub fast. They will even bring your order to your table so you don't have to wait in the line. Every time I order a sub, I order the Italian sub and have it made "Mike's Way". The last time I visited, I ended up receiving mayonnaise on my sub, and I politely brought it up to their attention since I was eating in the store, and they were more than happy to fix the mistake and made me a new sub. Again, the subs are very tasty. The biggest issue is the price. a regular size sub will cost you $8-$10 and the large sub can cost up to $15. Yes, you are getting a fresher sub, but it's a steep price. Jersey Mike's in Dahlgren is a good choice for a meal every once in awhile in Dahlgren. Definitely give it a try if you've never had a sub from them before. read more

Good subs here if you're stuck in King George and don't want Five Guys next door. A lot of their subs were great. The reuben was hit the spot thanks to the abundant amount of meats they stack in it. The BBQ chicken was just the right amount of spicy and nicely cooked chicken. The philly cheese steak was just alright but I wouldn't turn it down. It's a little tricky to get to the store as there is no direct turn in from the main road but it's not too bad. There's enough parking outside. The meals are reasonably priced. I'd go back here when I'm in the area again. read more

I was hesitant to try a new sandwich/sub place, as so many are just glorified kitchen counters lacking any personality or feel good qualities... while yes. the ingredients of a tuna sub are bare bones and minimalist, theres something to be said about one that hits just right. A Jersey Mikes sub is more than just the sum of its parts. Theres a comforting soul resonating from within the sandwich... it calls out to the senses and casts its spell upon the customer one factor at a time. Great sandwiches, customer service, pickles! You can eat half for lunch and save the other half for dinner.

I specifically recommend the #17 Jersey Mike half sub with a serving of extra meat. This is a signature dish that bears the restaurant's name. The fountain drinks are large and generous. This place gets crowded at lunch time so I recommend ordering online then driving to dine in quickly then leave. Parking was plentiful but tight during traditional lunch hours. Foods good , customer service is horrible. Came in for a giant veggie sub, took 10 minutes just to cut some provolone and lay it on a piece of bread which was the wrong size. I tell her kindly , she continues to grab regular sized bread. Not to mention there was no greeting , no welcome to the store, how are you today.. no smile ,just subpar .The best part is both employees working just stopped making my sandwich and walked into the back without a word.. So incredibly rude after standing there for so long already . I left with nothing because it was unbelievable. I wouldn't want anyone else to feel the way i did. Came by for a to go order. Greeted and placed our order for chicken Caesar wrap and turkey wrap. We watched them cook the Caesar chicken and drop one piece on the floor and not replace. Took the wraps on the road and once opened was yet again disappointed. Turkey wrap was light on meat and the Caesar wrap had jalapeños on it. I have never had a Caesar salad or wrap with jalapeños on it, not on menu description. If you order Caesar wrap watch closely if you do not want jalapeños. We will not be back for subs. read more

Use to be a good sub shop. Maybe inflation has taken its toll. Wanted a steak sub, saw the advertisement with Danny Devito, thought I'd try it. Don't bother. Sandwich didn't have 2 tablespoons of beef bits. More like mayo spread with brown bites. It was a to-go order otherwise I would have given it back. (Keep the money you obviously need it. ) The little old lady from the 90s fast food commercial crawled out of the grave just to say one more time "where the beef? " Enjoyed the mayo with lettuce and onions, thx. Made me laugh at how false the advertisement is. We all know it's overdone on TV but the franchise should be ashamed. Charge more, reduce the size, but for the love of it all stop ripping people off with your bread and mayo sandwich. BTW, installed your app just to make this order. Give you one guess what I deinstalled the next day. Family customer lost. Stop here every time I visit King George. Staff is attentive, friendly and fast. They are glad to bring your order to the table. I especially like to watch them slice the meat and cheese fresh in front of you. I would have given the place five stars, but I detest the software at the checkout that suggests a tip. I know of no other fast food restaurant that does this. A tip jar on the counter is a completely different thing. I would only tip at a fast food restaurant if the service was above and beyond. I wish they would delete the software at checkout that suggests a tip, and leave the tip jar out there. read more

Great subs! Really like the tuna, the pastrami, and the cold cut. Steak & cheese good too. And enjoy that you can make any sub a salad. I also love that they have sweet sweet peppers, this is sometimes hard to come by at a sub place. read more

Cleanliness is lacking. Sticky floors, register area and behind counter appear dirty. Workers friendly but subs over loaded with oil and vinegar. Doesn't compare to King George location. Won't be returning soon. read more

Really enjoyed eating here. I've never been let down by JMs, and this was no different.

We dined at Jersey Mikes when they first opened last year. After watching a bit of cross contamination on the grill (using same utensil on raw and cooked meat), we made the decision not to get hot subs. Restaurant was clean and cold subs okay. Visited the second time this month. Quite a few employees on staff during a weekday. Tables were not wiped and floors were dirty. Discovered my sub not cut in half but no employee in sight to cut it for me. I was able to reach the knife and cut in myself. The staff is friendly, and a few were obviously the worker bee's of the staff. The area needs this sub shop to succeed. We are hoping for things to get much better with maybe some efficient staff training. read more
