We visited for lunch on a Monday while looking for a dog friendly restaurant. Parking was great at this time of day and the service was very fast and friendly. The patio area is nice, with regular and high top table options. Part is in the sun and part is covered, so you can enjoy the outside regardless of your preference. As a first-time customer, I was told by the cashier to grab my drink from the fridge, so I reasonably believed I was allowed to open it. Rather than verbally correcting the misunderstanding, the bartender physically moved my arm/hand out of the way to grab the drink. The situation could have been handled respectfully, professionally without physical contact. This woman should not be working in any establishment with this awful behavior. I go to Foster Grille every five months for the last 10 years because it's in the same shopping center as where we get our oil changed. But I never done a review because I always gotten chicken wings this time I got steak and chesse. We eat here at least once a week, our little 4 year old chants "Foster's Grille" in the car whenever we drive by. She love the kids grilled cheese, hotdog, and cheese burger. She even eats the fries with vinegar instead of catchup. We like Foster's because it is always welcoming and relaxing. Food is constantly good and the atmosphere is casual. This is the first time I went to this Foster's location; I usually go to the one in Waldorf. I ordered carry out one night. I ordered the Charburger, boneless wings with onion rings, and bone in traditional wings with fries. As you can see, the burger was extremely raw inside throughout the patty. The patty didn't even stick together because it was so raw. Plus, it wasn't even hot. Then, the onion rings I ordered were not like the ones in the pictures nor the ones in Waldorf. They were very small and breaded, as if from frozen. The boneless chicken was half breaded and half not. It was as if I was eating half popcorn chicken and half chunky pieces of chicken, which I was expecting the latter because that's what the Foster's in Waldorf serves. Lastly, I felt like the traditional wings we got were slightly underdone. It was probably a few degrees from being fully cooked. I understand it was dinner time, but the raw burger is pretty unacceptable. Unfortunately, I was pretty unhappy with this location. read more

We happened upon this spot while driving, I mean it is definitely a local spot, if you blink you will miss it. With that said, I'm glad I am a close neighbor, this little place was great, they have a great happy hour, ant the wings were delicious, not to mention they have real blue cheese, with chunks!!!!!!!!! The bathroom was clean, and the restaurant itself was very clean. The staff was friendly and I think we had a pretty good experience here. I will be back, if you are in LaPlata, I highly recommend you check this place out, you may pass it a time or two, but be sure to circle back and give it a try. read more

I usually like this place. We did come 20 mins before closing (9pm) but I know they will stay open if people are at the bar. The person that took our order was rude about them closing in 15 mins to the point where I offered to just take the food to go. She said it was fine. We ordered and I just saw some of the employees talking about us. At this point I said to my boyfriend if they wanna leave at 9pm then close the kitchen at 830pm. The owners son was super friendly and even told the people at the bar to not rush out. I wish I got that same response from the lady that took our order. Instead I watched the girl mop the floor while we waited for our food. I work in a restaurant and I'd never mop the floor while customers were in the dining area. This place doesn't look like much from the outside. But trust me, you'll wanna check it out. My family and I were greeted kindly by who were assuming is the owner. And he walked us through the ordering process and assured us that the staff would take good care of us. The wait time was a bit long, but time passed by quickly as we watched a soccer game on TV. When I want a good burger, I will come to Fosters in La Plata, MD. We have been several times since they opened. The food is always good. My complaint isn't about the food but the up charge for using my credit card and not paying in cash. This time when my husband took the slip of orders up to the cashier to pay, he came back to the table and put the receipt on the table. I picked it up and looked at it and noticed there was an additional charge. I was shocked to find out that I was charged to use my credit card instead of paying cash. The amount charged was an odd amount ($2.62), so I guess they charge per your total order. Not that I am aware of, but there isn't anything posted about an up charge for using your credit card. This really didn't sit well with me and I won't be coming back. read more

The food was great. I will say that you are definitely paying for real, great quality food. Yes it was a bit pricey; $50 for 2 people but you are absolutely getting real and yummy food. Recently closed on a home in Waldorf and decided to check this spot out after getting a hair cut with my girlfriend. Prior entering the establishment we observed a sign on the door stating that mask were required in order to be served, yet there was a middle aged white woman that intentionally ignored the sign and proceeded to enter the establishment. She continued to walk directly up to the register and complete her order and none of the workers even bothered to reference her lack of a mask. The disparity in how we were treated was noticed immediately. Here you had a white woman intentionally disregard a government mandated law, yet she was greeted and her order was taken promptly. Yet when entering the establishment, the hostess (a young white male), opts to not greet us at all. I verbally mentioned this to my girlfriend as we stood by the door looking at the menu and the hostess looked directly at me as I spoke to her and yet he still said nothing. I did some research and asked a few older black gentlemen about this establishment at my local gym and they all seemed to share the same sentiments. They may serve black people but we are not the group that they prefer catering to. read more

We were craving a burger and had been trying to get to Foster's Grille for some time so when we were in the area, we jumped at the chance. We walked in and ordered. It's strange because regardless of whether you're eating in or taking out, you fill out a piece of paper with menu choices on it and take it up to pay at the window. We each got a basic burger with our choice of toppings, one with fries and one with onion rings and two shakes (one chocolate and one vanilla). There were very few people in the restaurant and one that stopped in to get take-out but took more than 20 mins to get our food. I thought that was a bit much. We got our shakes first and luckily, they were so thick that they didn't melt during the wait. The burgers were good and I'd stop again (if I've ordered ahead first) for those and the shakes alone. The fries and onion rings weren't as great. The onion rings could've been good if the were cooked longer but they were soggy and grease soaked. The fries were were hard and not very hot. Neither had any salt on them. I mean, not that they needed more - there was no salt and when I returned to get my forgotten side of ranch for the onion rings, they didn't carry packets. I was offered some salt in a ramekin but that seemed odd to me. Plastic utensils are self serve as are napkins which I had to take from a nearby table. I have mixed reviewed about my first experience here. Firstly we placed an online order for pickup. I showed up 5 mins after the website said our food was ready for pickup. I was told part of the order was ready but just a couple of mins more. I waited 20 mins and then reminded someone that I was there waiting for a pickup order. Just then the rest of my order was ready. Looking at the food I could tell the order was not complete and the food that had been sitting for at least 20 mins was now ice cold. So again I waited for the rest of order that was not ready and for the food that was being remade. Another 15 mins later food came out. Still part of the order was missing but at this point in time I was too frustrated to bring it up again. It was clear that I am sorry for you wait, or any kind of explanation was too much to ask for. Now the food. Received two of the three burgers we ordered. The two we got were really good. Cold but good. The fish and chips. Fish was soggy, fries soggy, onion rings soggy. Mint chocolate milkshake was more like milk, not thick at all, also ordered a vanilla milkshake which was really good.
