Just ate here today for the first time. I am a huge cheesesteak fan so of course that's what I ordered. I got the regular size and it was more than enough! The cheesesteak was packed with meat, peppers and onions. The bread was fresh and perfect. I got the combo with a drink. I felt it was pricey (2 combos for $23) but it filled me up with leftovers. They had a lot of other things I want to go back and try. My only complaint was the conversating/bickering between the employees giving each other a hard time about working. This location gives the Brand a very bad name. I'm not sure what version of Jersey Mike's it's suppose to be but it's definitely not the Jersey Mike's I'm use to. I ordered a BLT sub with light mayo, what I got was a dry piece of bread with four pieces of bacon on it no lettuce no tomato no mayo! Excellent subs with fresh meat, not mystery meat like at Subway. They did have some coordination issues when they first open where it was completely unorganized, but they've made significant strides to improve. For starters l love Jersey Mike's Subs! Which is why I went 15 miles out of the way to stop at the restaurant on my way to work. This was my first time at this particular location. I first learned if the restaurant in North Carolina. The staff at the La Plata location was was welcoming and friendly...but my sub was terribly disappointing! I ordered a number 4 Mikes Way with mayo and EXTRA oil and vinegar. It is beyond me why my sub was so dry with no flavor. The bread was very dry and maybe that's what contributed to the lack of flavor. I requested a menu do that I could check off which ones I've had and others I'd like to try but the the #4 was not on the menu. When I asked the sandwich artist who made my sub he informed me of a " secret menu"....umm really....like Starbucks? Ok so now I'm going to have to check Pinterest to see if they have some secret sandwiches...lol. I'm hoping that this was just a one in a million chance at having a disappointing sub and not the norm for this particular restaurant. So I tell her I take 2 regular Turkey subs with Swiss cheese and I want them no mayo one with brown mustard & the other plain I was bringing home for Hub! I asked for just brown mustard and I was looking away and that quick she had globs of mustard and I said oh no that's too much so then she take the mayo spatula out of mayo and starts to scape it off my roll I was in a state of shock! I said look sweetie I don't want that roll at all I don't do mayo so she threw in trash with total discuss! Like it was my fault! The two stars on for the fresh lettuce tomato onions & pickles that they have and the other star was thank god I had coupon because the guy ringing it up I gave him coupon and he said that will be $16.54 I said Do what that was BOGO free he said oh I forgot to take off! He had the coupon in his hand! So then knocked the bill to $8 I said that's more like it cause those subs are no way worth $16 He didn't say a word except on credit card machine it's asks you for Tip I said you want a tip now! Didn't like the sub, the bread was too hard and I or it on the rosemary bread, however I love the fact that they cut the meats right in front of u,the bread took away from the actual sandwich. First off, the food IS good but there wasn't a clean table in the place to eat it and from the time I got there to the time I left (about an hour), Not one table was wiped down. The tables should be wiped down as soon as someome gets up from them in a "quick service restaurant" like this, where people seat themselves. Another thing that bothered me, once I finally placed my order and sat down to eat, was the guy taking the orders... Most people probably wouldn't pay any mind to this sort of thing but I noticed that he would write an order on a ticket with food prep gloves on, then go make a sub without changing his gloves. He continued to repeat this cycle and this bothered me. Cross-contamination can and will make people sick. A new pair of gloves is needed each time you touch anything other than the food and what it takes to make the subs. Who knows how many days he's been using that same pen and how many other things he's touching in between making subs. Another gripe I have is the price... Damn, this place is expensive! You're in Southern MD people, not DC, NY or L.A. A sub shouldn't be damn near the price of a steak or seafood dinner. They're good subs but not good enough to justify those prices. You can go anywhere in the area and get more for your money. I understand you want to turn a profit sooner, rather than later but let's not get too carried away here. In this area you would probably benefit and profit more by lowering your prices. You would get more repeat business and would build a larger customer base. I've been to a few different Jersey Mike's locations and I've never seen prices as high as these. I want to like this location because it's close to home and Jersey Mike's has great subs, but I think they have a few issues too many at this point. I'll give them some time and try again later, then I'll edit my review with a follow-up. I hope I have good news after my next visit, but we will see. read more

I LOVE JMS but this location is terrible. It's as if the staff wasn't properly trained. Staff is slow and overall they don't have the techniques most JMS shops have. I got a sandwich a few weeks back and it took the staffer 9 tries to wrap my sub. I literally stood there for 2 whole minutes while she tried to wrap my sub. The sub ended up leaking through the bag anyway because they don't use that white paper all the other stores use along with the JMS wrapping paper. It's a sloppy experience and they have got to care enough to get it together. read more

First time here. Subs were really good , large and stuffed with meat. Service was good and the restaurant was very clean. Definitely recommend and will return. Visited the LaPlata location 20 or 15 mins before the store was about to close for the night and the employees were cleaning up. They seemed a little irritated that we walked in so late. The gentleman that was preparing the sandwiches seemed to come across short patient but he still tried to be polite. My husband and I felt that we couldn't ask questions or request anything other than what the menu said. The customer service was not the best and I strive off of "good customer service". Extremely dishonest! Buyer Beware! When paying for my sub I was asked to review & authorize my order like anyplace else. When looking at the Credit Card Machine a screen popped up and quickly went away. I only caught a glimpse of it and it kinda looked like a screen that asked if you want cash back. Apparently, it was a screen to add a tip because when reviewing my receipt there had been a tip added to my carry out order. I questioned the employee and he insisted there was no tip on my receipt it was tax. The Receipt clearly stated Sub $13.65 Tax $.82 Total $14.47 Tip $1.37 Total $15.84 Then he gets an attitude and says You can just speak to the manager and he can further explain it to you. There was nothing to explain is written here in Black and White. Then they all want to say it's MY fault I had to authorize the tip by tapping the screen. I explained my hands went nowhere the screen until it said Total $15.84 Yes or No I can only imagine how many people they have gotten who never look at the receipt. read more
