I was headed to another place when I spotted their sign out of the corner of my eye. Thinking a Peruvian place "may" have plantains I quickly pivoted to Julitos instead. Overall, I am glad that I did. The plantains were delicious and so were the steak fries. I appreciated the spicy and savory sauces they provided. They added some flavor to the white rice and also the chicken sub sandwich. The sandwich have some ingredient that I couldn't quite identify and didn't particularly enjoy, but beyond those few bites of questionable flavor, it was mostly enjoyable, fresh and juicy. The half chicken was seasoned well and, while the meat could have been a tad more juicy, it was nevertheless good. Wifey and I was craving Mexican/Peruvian food. She found this spot so off we went. It's tucked away in a small mall shopping center. Adequate parking and the staff are super friendly with no language barriers. The ambiance is great, and the food was very delicious, and everything is cooked to order. I got the tacos and wifey the quesadillas. Everything was excellent and we also got Peruvian chicken and grill chicken sandwich to go. Sooooooo I ventured here and then read the Yelp ratings & I was craving Chicken Quesadillas. I was kind of disappointed that the quesadillas didn't come as a platter and I had to buy all my sides separately...LOLy lunch today was a waping $28! So today I ordered the chicken quesadillas, and a side of corn, black beans, plantains and fried rice... My quesadillas and plantains were delicious!! Tasty...but still Guapos got it ;)))...i probably would never venture back to this part of town for them. Corn...needed some salt...my black beans needed some cilantro and Saźon seasoning (LOL)...& the fried rice was just ok.... All in all, I'll give them 3 stars. I ordered from here today. I ordered my son a burger plain no cheese with fries. My son complained about the bread hardness and the burger patty was hard and burnt. It looked like they cooked the burger yesterday and precooked it again today. I will not be ordering burger from them again. The whole chicken and sides was decent. Julitos Peruvian Chicken. This is supposed to be a three meat taco with pico de gallo and sour cream. I don't see no pico or the gallo yet alone sour cream. It was dry overcooked meat and a dryer or corn tortilla. Those are supposed to be pinto beans that taste like they came straight from the can. Didn't know what to order for dinner on a Friday night so I came to Yelp for help. Saw this place had 4 stars and multiple good reviews before the bad. Boy do I wish I had kept looking. The Buffalo ones were dry and the little bit of sauce seemed to be more under the foil then on the actual wings, lemon pepper barely tasted like lemon pepper, my son had bbq and they looked saucy and he didn't say there was any issue with them. The chicken itself was not bad, it was just like I ordered plain wings and they hit them with a sprinkle of seasoning. The tacos, first of all ordering 5 is not something I like to do unless I know they are good. I did not know they were on corn tortillas and I probably wouldn't have picked them had I known that. Their menu said they come with pico de gallo, sour cream, and a spicy red sauce but when I asked about it she said the sour cream and red sauce didn't come on it but pico de gallo, lettuce and cheese did. Could of used more pico de gallo on each. When I picked up my first one it literally just fell apart, same with my next 1 and a half. I was going to toss the other 2 out the next day but decided to just trash the tortilla and eat the insides which tasted much better that way. The fries are steak fries and well a box of hot fries tends to get soggy, nothing special to them. The plantains were my favorite. Spinach was good too besides the long slivers of onions, my son said it was a little salty but just the right amount of salt or something like that lol. Ohh the tres leches..I was disappointed. The texture was not right for me on the first one I ordered but when I tasted the other one I ordered 2 days later the texture was better. Im not sure if it was the 2 days or just because they were different pieces but that first one just was not it. The second wasn't it either, just better. Would I order again? It was just ok. I wanted to try this spot since it's on my way home. The chicken was just ok. I've had better at a couple other local Peruvian spots. It just didn't seem as seasoned as I've had at other places. The fried rice was really bad. Also, I've never been to a Peruvian restaurant that served fried rice like this. It tasted stale and no flavor. Same with the pinto beans. Just mediocre and lacked seasoning. The only thing we enjoyed were the plantains, which you can't really mess up and mixing their two sauces made them delicious. Won't be back since there are two other Peruvian spots in Waldorf with great food, but glad I tried this place. read more

I haven't been there in a while. When I did eat there the food was a 6 out of 10. I usually go to Sylvestre because I like there chicken better and there mild sauce is unmatched by anyone. Julitos has way better sides than Sylvestre and there yucca is delicious. The service is good and the ambiance is nothing to brag about. I have only eaten here once, but it was very good. I had a steak and cheese sandwich, and it was the best one in Charles County, except for a couple of table service places. It had good steak not chopped too small, well seasoned, with onions, peppers, and mushrooms. They even fried up some fresh jalapenos with the peppers on request. The roll was just okay, but they are not a bakery. The steak fries were pretty good but could have been cooked a little more to be crispier. The service was very good. I can't wait to come back to try some of their Peruvian foods, and my rating may rise. (I will note that I initially ordered tacos, which you have to buy five at a time for some reason, but then canceled when they said they did not have guacamole anymore. My sister found this little gem. I am not the biggest fan of Peruvian chicken (I know shame on me) but this place has made me a believer. They catered my brother in law's birthday and everyone raved about the food. The chicken delicious, personally the best Peruvian chicken I have ever had. The sides were just as good. We had yuca, fries, white rice, fried rice, plantains and salad. Everything was delicious. I have to mention this drink called chicha, it that looks like grape juice, but taste 100 better than any grape juice I've ever had. So happy to find a pristinely clean restaurant with the ingredients of food we eat every day! The staff was very friendly. I decided to try the 2 meat Quesadilla and went with steak and shrimp, House Salad, and Fries no salt. The flavor and texture of the Quesadilla was excellent but someone was a little heavy handed with the salt or seasoning that has salt in it. Since the Quesadilla comes with Pepper-jack cheese it would be helpful not to add whatever the seasoning is with salt in it to this dish. Next time I will ask for no salt or seasoning to be added to my Quesadilla. My advice for anyone with high blood pressure or allergies, is to let the restaurant know up front that you have special dietary needs and they will more than likely be happy to work with you. When my mother was hospitalized with stage 4 cancer, I used to prepare her meals daily to take to the hospital. One day I was unable to prepare the meal myself and went to a restaurant telling them exactly what my mother wanted to eat and how it needed to be prepared. The young lady taking the order asked me to wait a moment as she went to tell the chef. She came back with tears in her eyes and told me "The chef said It's On The House!" I began to cry and she cried even harder as she told me she'd recently lost her father to stage 4 cancer. That was 21 years ago. My mother passed away 20 years ago. I shared all of this to say this is a great restaurant with fresh ingredients. Just let the person who is taking the order know you or a loved one has special dietary needs. Again, they will be happy to work with you. The House Salad and Fries with No Salt were excellent too. We also tried the Chicha Morada. Excellent! We will be back for more. I'm only taking off one star because of the heavy hand of salt. I will ask for no salt next time and give a 5 star review! We will be back again SOON! read more
