Arrived early and waited a few minutes. My order was called. Here's what I ordered: -two Char burgers (one lettuce wrapped): these were not good. Smothered in so much mayo it was dripping i -meal deal (half patty melt, chicken bites, side, etc. I'll spare you the details, but I asked for an extra ranch after looking in my bag, and realizing I didn't even get the three I was supposed to get. I had two in the bag and I asked for two more, but informed her that I was missing one. My bag was on the counter and she yanked it towards her and started moving all of my food around as if I had hidden the ranch. Being that distrustful of a customer over a $.65 container of ranch is insane. Typically, most locations will give you one of the small ones for free, anyway. But also, chill when you haven't even provided what you were supposed to. Finally got the ranch and the burgers were so covered in mayo that it was leaking out of the bun. Imagine large drops of mayo and mayo alone falling out of your burger as you attempt to take a bite. I ended up wiping it with a napkin. Second visit: I came back with char tickets to pay for a portion of my order. These tickets are usually sent by customer service if you have a bad experience. Anyway, the cashier was very, very nice this time around. However, he was very confused when I was placing my order. Previously, you could use char tickets and app offers. I guess this has recently changed? Anyway, there's all this confusion at the register. The employee is super nice the whole time but it was frustrating. Anyway, finally get my food and it's better than last time but the street corn tots were gross lol and my chicken bites tasted like they'd been fried then reheated.

The chicken bites were pretty good, but the burger itself felt very basic, almost like something from Burger King, and the bun didn't taste fresh--more like it had been sitting out for a while. The fries were bland at first and definitely needed salt, but once seasoned they were decent. On the other hand, the strawberry lemonade was excellent and definitely the highlight of the meal. I placed an online carryout order scheduled for 1:19 PM and arrived around 1:30. Another customer was being assisted at the counter, so I patiently waited. A male employee came from the back and began calling names for carryout orders. Because I couldn't clearly hear one of the names, I politely asked him, "Excuse me, sir, do you have an order for Katrina?" I want to emphasize that I was speaking to the male employee distributing carryout orders, not the woman assisting the other customer. She nevertheless interjected, "When your order is ready, we'll call for you." I simply responded that my order was already ready. As I said this, the male employee retrieved my order from the rack and handed it to me. I took my food and began walking toward the exit. The woman told me to "have a nice day" in a tone I perceived as sarcastic. I nevertheless responded, "Thank you, you too," and continued leaving. She then added, "Please don't come back." Confused, I stopped and asked why. She accused me of previously coming into the restaurant and "doing the same thing"/causing problems. This is extremely important: this was only my SECOND time ever coming to this location for a carryout order. My first pickup was approximately three weeks earlier. I walked in, collected my food, and left within probably 30 seconds with no argument, complaint, or negative interaction. I had also never seen or interacted with this woman before. Because the history she described does not match my actual history at this restaurant, I believe she mistook me for another customer. I asked for her name or information for someone above her because I wanted to report the interaction. She refused and stated that she was the owner and that because Bonchon is a franchise, there was nobody above her to whom I could report the incident. I continued requesting management/corporate information, and she called the police. Because police had been called, I initially believed I should remain to speak with the responding officers. In hindsight, I should have waited outside. While waiting, I called my mother for advice. Another customer who witnessed the interaction independently approached me. I did not know this woman. She told me she believed the way I was treated was wrong and helped me locate information for reporting the incident. She later identified herself to police as a witness and described what she observed. The situation escalated after police had already been called. The woman repeatedly demanded that I leave, and we both raised our voices. During the confrontation, she told me to take my "ghetto sh!t outside" and that I was "going to jail." I did not call her names or curse at her. My mother ultimately told me to leave the restaurant and wait outside, which I did. The police arrived shortly afterward. The woman described me to them as "belligerent" and said she did not want me returning. I gave the officers my complete account, identification, and explained my very limited history at this restaurant. The independent customer also spoke with police as a witness. I was ultimately informed that I could no longer return. I will respect that instruction and have no intention of returning after this experience. What concerns me most is how this began. Before any argument occurred, before police were called, and before I remained inside requesting management information, I had received my food and was already walking out when I was told not to return. The explanation was that I supposedly had a history of causing problems there. I do not. I had never interacted with this woman before, and my only previous carryout pickup approximately three weeks earlier occurred without incident. I strongly believe I was mistaken for another customer. I hope someone above the restaurant level reviews this incident and, if available, surveillance footage from approximately 1:30 PM on August 18. I would also like any alleged previous incidents involving me reviewed because I maintain that no such history exists. The food at Bonchon is delicious, my order was ready on time, and the male employee who handed me my order was helpful. Unfortunately, my experience with management overshadowed all of that. What should have been a routine pickup resulted in accusations about conduct I did not recognize, a police call, and ultimately being banned from a restaurant where I had never previously caused a problem.

The gravy tastes like absolutely nothing. Bread: not as good as raising Cane's, but still pretty good. It's regular toast instead of the thicker, round bread, but I still like it. Potato salad: the potatoes are a little bit al dente, and they make it with ranch, but I like it a little bit, especially since it has the bacon in it. It's not good good, but it's a nice side alternative to fries. Mac and cheese: creamy style, and a little bit bland. Since Honeygrow uses self-service kiosks for ordering, the service experience is a bit different than a traditional restaurant. We placed our order through the kiosk and waited for our names to be called. When our food was ready, we were surprised to find it packaged in to-go containers even though we had selected the dine-in option. The cashier was extremely apologetic and even offered to transfer our meals into dine-in bowls, but we decided not to bother. I will admit I was a little disappointed because I was looking forward to seeing the presentation of the stir-fry in the signature bowl. The cashier did give us a complimentary fountain drink as an apology which I thought was very kind. As for the food it was absolutely delicious. I created my own stir-fry with citrus garlic chicken, a variety of fresh vegetables, and spicy garlic sauce on the side. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and all of the flavors worked together perfectly. My husband ordered a similar stir-fry but chose tofu and the soy garlic sauce, and he enjoyed his meal just as much. Even before the fast food chicken wars that have exploded lately because of the epic surplus of similar fast food restaurants that have popped up around the burbs, I have always loved Zaxby's. I remember first discovering them on a road trip with a high school friend of mine, and I always look forward to the rare occasion that I would have them. Later on, it became annual when I knew I'll be within 10 minutes of them from Smash Con and could enjoy them. A few weekends ago, I went with a couple of friends and we all shared a tinder combo. Now, compared to other tenders in the area, theirs are relatively tiny. But the taste is unmatched. And that coleslaw and the fries that come with it... Whew! They're so flavorful! Now, the toast is fine, not as great as other places, but they make up for that with everything else. Many people have also complained about the service, but it was very fast for us. I'm looking forward to a Zaxby's opening closer to home, because that is one place I will have more often as my guilty pleasure meal. And they have a banana pudding milkshake that I'm excited about!
