Bought two sandwiches tonight around 6 pm. Service was good, sandwich was put together well and for the most part was okay. My problem was the white bread. The crust was so hard and the bread so dry, I literally had to take a drink of soda to break down the bread after every bite. It was that hard and dry. I remember the bread being soft every time I've purchased a Jersey Mike sandwich from another location. I'm not sure if La Verne is using a different bread, but it was so bad, I won't be a repeat customer. read more

I really like this JM because they are very involved in the community. They are always at our elementary school functions and fundraisers. When we came to turn in one of our fundraiser cards the employees were very nice. My food was fast and fresh and they were very polite and accommodating with my daughters order even though she is super picky! They complimented her and offered her a cookie. When they were first opening up in La Verne, a few of my friends were excited because they've had really good sandwiches from other Jersey Mike's locations before. I was skeptical at first-- like, hey, it's just a sandwich. How good/bad can it be? Ohhhhh man. Tasty, fresh bread, deli meats sliced right in front of you, good options for toppings-- I'm sold! Seriously, my favorite sandwiches around. (PS, #8 mini, Mike's way, no onions, extra vinegar, add pickles-- DO IT. You're welcome.) The staff is super nice, too. Love their subs in a tub but recently the service is less than satisfactory. What is the point of mobile ordering if it's not ready at the time THEY send you it will be. This is twice now I've ordered on my lunch and it wasnt ready. Today was suppose to be ready at 11:22. Got there at 11:30 and it was barely being made. Then the guy starts helping others leaving my salads open just sitting there. When I asked for them to be finish I got a blank stare from the other one. A girl came out with the bell peppers for one salad and her response was we are busy... it's now 11:35. They still had to get my ranch in cups and bag my order. At 11:37 the blank stare guy hands me the bag flipped up right.. um their salads... now juice all over the bag because the lids weren't closed. Guess I'll be ordering from different location next time... I wont chance for a 3rd. read more

Nice clean location. Food was made fresh and staff moved relatively quickly. I keep it simple with the number 3 on rosemary park bread. I asked them to toast it on the grill top and they always obliged. It gives the bread a little more texture. I like that's it's close to work and gives me a chance to get a fresh sandwich. I used to like Jersey Mike's, but haven't eaten here in years (no clue why). They sent me a free sub for my birthday though, so I found my way back in there. I won't be back. First, the good stuff: They slice their meat and cheese to order, there is a good variety of subs, and the service is friendly. Now, to the bad stuff (and why I won't be back): 1. So much cross contamination! I can't have dairy, so I was careful to check the menu before I went to make sure I knew what to order. I am not big on deli meat, so I went with the tuna. The problem is that the guy just got done handling/slicing cheese and then touched my bread, without changing his gloves. He almost cut my sub with the same knife he used for other subs, but I managed to stop him. And, if you do have deli meat, you will definitely not be able to have a dairy-free sub because they use the same slicer for meats and cheese, without even a wipedown in between. 2. The fresh veggies are questionable. I went around lunchtime, but the lettuce was already browning. I skipped that, I opted for onions and tomatoes. The onions were fine, but the tomatoes were mealy. If you're in the mood for a sub, I recommend heading across White Ave and going to Jimmy Johns. read more

During this time of online/pick up ordering you've lost my business twice because of your website and customer service failure. The first time I spent 30 minutes trying to order online, but not being able to. Your website told me if I ordered online, the pickup time would not be available until the next day!! So I tried to call 3x and nobody answered the phone! The store was still open, so frustrated and annoyed I tried to go over to the store. When I arrived, there were no customers, and one-person working, yet the music was blaring so loud, it is no wonder she didn't hear the phone. Then she tells me we were too late because they were 5 minutes from closing. I decided to give your store another try today two hours before closing only to have the same online experience, not being able to pick up my order until the next day, and called twice with no answer!! We love your food, but the customer service to order it is horrible. Don't count on our business during this time of COVID -19 restrictions. I just hope you survive it. Please fix your website to accept immediate orders and answer your phone or I am afraid you won't. read more

I went to Jersey Mikes for dinner last week after hearing La Verne got a new sandwich shop. (New restaurants in La Verne are really exciting!) It was pretty busy and the inside was nicely decorated and flat screen TV's were mounted inside. This was my first time at a Jersey Mikes restaurant and I was pleased. I ordered a hot buffalo chicken wrap because I wasn't in the mood for a cold cut sub. I watched the staff make my sandwich with care ever so gently so I was appreciative of that.( I hate when I watch someone at a sandwich shop throw my food together). It did take a while to get my food, but hey they have only been open a week I'm sure they are still settling in. Worst service ever! They ended up getting extremely busy with a line and they only had 3 staff. When they were making our sub, the employee did not even ask if we wanted to add anything to our sandwiches and directed us to go and pay. Just went here for lunch because it was right across the street from where I worked. I like to think of it like an upgraded subway. They cut their meat in front of you and it seems like the quality is pretty good. I ordered a sub in a bowl (no bread) kahuna cheese steak. It was pretty good and had a bit of spice from the jalapenos. What I didn't like was the cheese they put in tasted cheap. The quality of the food is abundantly better then any of their competitors. They also have a rewards program that every-time you buy a sandwich you get points. To be completely honest I LOVE this location. The lack of stars is more due to staffing than the service itself. I came in today and i seen the two women working their butts off. Yes only two for a Friday night. I The two women were obviously overwhelmed by the number of orders that were coming in from the online system. I really felt bad for them. They both handled the stress awesome. The one assembling was making 4 at a time to help bring the numbers down. I waited more than 20 minutes before my sandwiches started to be made and i was okay because they were trying their best. They constantly reassured the guests that they were sorry for the wait. They did not have to be sorry because it was obviously not their fault. These two should definitely get a raise or bonus for today. I feel that if an establishment is using online ordering than it should staff extra persons whether or not they can afford it. read more

I originally went to Jersey Mike's during their grand opening week, after one of their guys offered me a promotional deal that was too good to pass up. I typically don't think much of submarine sandwiches, so I don't visit sandwich places too often. Jersey Mike's turned out to be pretty good. The bread was fresh and chewy, and the meats also fresh. I was so caught off guard with the whole experience, my sandwich didn't come out the way I wanted. What a waste of money - and time! (I usually don't mind the wait I encounter at the shop - because it's lunch and the sandwiches are usually good.)
