    Ultimate Antigua Breakfast
    Alicia N.

This is a spacious Guatemalan café with delicious food. They are open mainly for breakfast and lunch. When you arrive, you order at the counter and they will bring your food to your table. It looks like it could be a good place to study or work as well. I'm not sure if they have Wi-Fi. For parking, there's a lot behind the building that tends to be busy. I tried their Ultimate Antigua Breakfast. The black beans on the plate were divine. I would come back for the beans alone.

I surprised my Guatemalan boyfriend by taking him to Antigua Bread for breakfast. He was pleasantly satisfied with the his choices. The coffee was delicious and strong. He ordered the Mayan Breakfast and I ordered a pork tamale with an horchata latte. Everything was delicious

Unexpected Gem! Way More Than Just Bread & Pastries! Had I known Antigua Bread offered a full menu, I would have been here so much sooner. I thought it was just breads, pastries, and coffee, but man have I been missing out! Stopped in for a much-needed caffeine fix and a quick breakfast to go on a busy, errand-filled morning. We ordered: - breakfast burritos (get their salsa. yum) - iced lattes (sweet but not too sweet. clean and strong espresso, perfection) - and (of course) a couple of sweets. Everything was absolutely delicious! There's a surprisingly large dining area, and it looks like they've recently expanded to accommodate even more guests. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming. I really appreciate when staff offer up suggestions and share their personal favorites. Plenty of free parking in the lot that connects the shopping area and nearby housing units makes it super convenient, too. Can't wait to come back and try even more from the menu!

Dropped into Antigua Bread for some coffee and a quick bite. There was plenty of parking available, which made things easy. The employee behind the counter was very kind and provided great service. We ordered a couple of iced coffees and a breakfast burrito to go. The coffee was delicious--smooth, flavorful, and definitely something I'd come back for. The burrito was for a family member, and she said it was really good as well. I signed up for their rewards program before leaving, already planning to return. Between the great service and the quality coffee, this spot is a solid choice for breakfast or a quick caffeine fix.

Antigua Breakfast. As a Nicaraguan Central American, this tastes like home. All delicious. The bread is flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. I wished they gave more cheese. The Plátano is the perfect sweetness to the savory dish. I've returned multiple times. The workers a very pleasant as well.

3/5/26 Antigua Bread LA Verne, CA...Came here with a super good friend! I ordered the Chiliquiles breakfast and she had the Chicken Pesto Sandwich & Fries that we shared. She bought two chocolate croissants and I got a bear claw and peach Danish for desserts. I also had a Hot Caramel Vanilla Latté and she had a hibiscus tea for drinks. It was an overall great visit, great food, great service, and great conversation! Anna is a very nice employee here! The restaurant was very clean and props to a very clean men's restroom! I will be back!!!

Breakfast sandwich, really good side potatoes

Good overall spot in regard to taste, quality, prices, and service. There is plenty of indoor seating but the music is a bit loud. We sat outside and it was nice and calm. The sandwich was good but nothing special. The bread could have been more toasted. The star was honestly the potatoes which was surprising. They were so flavorful! I ate a decent amount and I'm not a fan of potatoes cooked like that.

Ample amount of seating, breakfast all day, and friendly staff. The only con is that parking is limited in the lot behind the plaza and there's barely any street parking. Our breakfast dishes were great and I really enjoyed the potatoes as most places undercook them or don't season properly. Several of us got the chicken sandwiches which were good and came with a choice of sides like fries or salad. I really liked the kids options (cheeseburger, pancakes, etc) and it came with apple or orange juice.

Why did I wait so long to come here? From the moment I walked in, the service was warm and friendly. The restaurant had a great vibe, was spotless, and smelled absolutely delicious. Now let's talk about the food. I ordered a large vanilla blended drink and oh my--it was perfect. I also tried their piña soda, which was super refreshing and reminded me a bit of Inca Cola. Of course, I couldn't resist a pastry. I went with the guava and cheese, toasted, and it was sweet, warm, and so yummy. Honestly, it reminded me of Porto's... but better. To finish it off, I ordered the club sandwich with fries. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, the bread was perfectly toasted, and the portion was big enough to share. I can't wait to come back and try everything else on the menu!

Kinda nasty. Not worth it. Not fresh. Waste of money & time.

Would not return. Don't waste your time My partner and I walked in about 10 minutes after they opened at 8 am on a Sunday, they didn't even greet us, immediately we were felt a cold, unfriendly, awkward energy. My partner said "i dont want to order anything" after he saw the kitchen and caught a whiff of the smell. I thought they'd have fresh bread or something but it didn't smell like fresh bread. It had a weird unclean smell. The lady at the register didn't even say "bye" let alone "have a nice day" The croissants taste stale and after a couple of bites I'm just thinking thank god we didn't stay and sit down to eat. Owner should look into having more friendly and welcoming or lively folks work there.

I attended the opening of Antigua Bread Cafe, when I read about its new location in La Verne. They are open 7 days and week for breakfast, lunch or dinner (-except Sunday, they close at 4pm). Breakfast is served all day, which is an option I really like. When I hear the word "bread," I anticipate an array and a good variety to choose from (sourdough, multi-grain, rye, croissant, whole wheat, biscuit, etc.). Imagine my disappointment when my breakfast sandwich was on white toast with bacon, egg and cheese. I cannot remember the last time I ate white sandwich bread. Not only that, but in a couple of places the crust was separated from the bread. It was falling apart. I know the bread was fresh since this was the first day in business. It was very busy, so I just accepted it instead of waiting for another sandwich. The food was tasty and served with diced potatoes. I saw other customers enjoying omelets, tamales, pastries and coffee drinks. The lunch and dinner menu has a good selection of food, like burgers, Tuna melt, Club sandwich, Smoked turkey and Crispy chicken sandwiches, Tacos, Burritos, Nachos, Steak Picado, Enchiladas, and Tortas. I am going to return and give them another chance because the menu has a lot to choose from. Reservations are not required. You simply walk up to the counter, place your order, and pay. The cashier, will give you a number. When your number is called, pick your food up at the same counter.

Stopped by on Saturday, 12/14/24 during lunch time. This place opened on Friday, 12/13/24, 3rd location so this restaurant chain is expanding! Dined in and ordered the following: - 1 Matcha Latte (hot) = $5.50 / added almond milk = $0.75 - 1 Chicken Enchilada = $19.95 - 1 Steak Enchilada = $19.95 - 1 Fettucine Alfredo = $19.95 SUBTOTAL = $66.10 TAX = $6.78 OVERALL TOTAL = $72.88 We were told that the wait time for our food is around 45 minutes - which is insane, but time flew by quick. I wanted oat milk for my matcha but they ran out (bummer). Overall, nice interiors and busy. There is parking behind the bakery and it is located near a private apartment complex. Food was delicious and took some leftovers to go. The matcha latte was the best.

Some Crust on the Claremont Village is still my go-to place for specialty cakes…read more I ordered a 65th birthday cake for my coworker a week ago Tuesday in person. Devin helped me to fill out the order form. It's a 9 inch round black and white cake, with raspberry jam filling and buttercream frosting. My coworker is stylish and always has her hair makeup and nails perfect so I thought elegant with pink and white roses. (The gold Happy Birthday candle I added for 3D effect and was not included.) I scheduled for 7 a.m. pickup today. There was the usual morning rush at the bakery but I was still in and out of there within 15 minutes. It turned out great!! My coworker was super happy and as always the cake itself is moist and delicious, not overly sweet. Well done, Some Crust, and thank you!

We had the absolute BEST experience with Some Crust Bakery for our wedding cake and desserts…read more Everyone we worked with was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they truly LISTENED to what we wanted. They sent us several mock-ups with colors and design styles throughout the process so we could see and approve of every little detail. We did two rounds of tastings (one at the shop and another at home) and coordinating the second round to finalize our flavors was super easy. Also, they coordinated directly with our florist to incorporate live flowers that perfectly matched the butter cream florals on the cake and the flowers on my dress. Another bakery (Cucamonga Cakery... yikes) told us this would be impossible and tried to make us feel dumb for wanting it. Some Crust made it happen EASILY. They brought our vision to life and the cake was seriously stunning! And the taste is so light and fresh! Special shoutout to Gabrielle for her quick responses, positive attitude, and overall amazing service throughout the entire process. She took care of us every step of the way. Thank you!!

I had to go in and see what this place was about! First off, the man who works there is super friendly. As soon as I walked in, he immediately started showing me everything they had in the store. He told me he was Egyptian and also knew how to say "thank you" in many other languages and proceeded to tell me. He was very charming. Extra star for the super service! There were many varieties of beautiful cakes and cupcakes (vegan and regular), however I didn't need a whole cake, and I didn't see individual slices for sale, so I passed on those. The gentleman had such happy vibes and such pride in his baking that I had to pick up a few things. He said he made the creme brulee and cannoli, so I got those. I also picked up something called a Konafa with custard, as well as a package of baklava. I looked up Konafa to see what it was made of (shredded phyllo dough), and discovered it was something Egyptians ate during Ramadan. How fitting...Today is the first day of Ramadan so I will celebrate in spirit! =) The crème brulee was pretty good, the cannoli was great! I wasn't really a fan of the baklava (it was too hard for me personally) or konafa as both were really dry and tasteless. I am used to baklava being syrupy and sticky and flaky. I feel like I've had konafa before and the shredded phyllo was yellow color and on the crispy side, rather than soft and white. I guess it depends on the style of what country makes it. I was given extra containers of syrup for them, he said in case I wanted it more sweet, but it didn't really help. I'll have to come back and give the cakes a try since it's mainly a cake shop. I'd love to try their gluten free cakes for my son. I'm not vegan, but for those of you who are, this is an option for you!
