Let's be completely honest: it's not what it used to be. Unfortunately, not all Wienerschnitzels are what they once were, so that's something to keep in mind when visiting one today. As for this particular location, I have to give them credit. It's nice, clean, and well-kept. The people working there were extremely friendly and nice--just beautiful people, inside and out. They were welcoming and did their jobs with a smile. As for the food... well, it's pretty much the same as always, and sometimes that can be disappointing. I ordered a pastrami burger, and I expected what anyone would expect: a burger with a nice, generous helping of pastrami. Unfortunately, that's not what I got. What I received was a burger with just a couple of strips of pastrami. Needless to say, that was disappointing. When you order a pastrami burger, you expect to actually get a good amount of pastrami on it. And honestly, I don't blame the employees. They're most likely following whatever portions they've been instructed to use in an effort to save money. I understand that businesses are dealing with higher costs, but cutting back on the very thing people are coming to you for isn't the answer. So this next part goes out to every Wienerschnitzel that is still operating: You need to do better. Wienerschnitzel is an American classic. It's an icon. You've been around for more than half of my lifetime, and you've been loved by generations of people. I understand that times have changed. I understand that food costs, labor, and everything else have become more expensive. But please don't lose sight of what made people love Wienerschnitzel in the first place. When someone orders a pastrami burger, give them a pastrami burger--not a burger with a couple of strips of pastrami. People are willing to pay for good food. They just want to feel like they're getting what they paid for. Wienerschnitzel has been around long enough to know what an American classic is supposed to be. Please bring some of that old Wienerschnitzel back. We're still here, and we still love it. read more

HORRIBLE WALK UP SERVICE!!!! My son walked up to the window to place an order. He said, "Excuse me" a couple of times, they acknowledged him with a smile and continued to take the drive up orders before finally taking his order. Car behind me pulls up and orders right after me manager takes their money and gives them their food while I'm still stuck at the window because she took forever to notice I was at the speaker kiosk. This is my update since my last one. After leaving my review and contacting their corporate site about my experience, I received a phone call from Stephanie. She was very apologetic and listened to my concerns. She is one of the new owners of this location. It turns out her son was the well mannered young man at the window, and appreciated my praise of his customer service. She offered to give me 2 free freezee's if I came back. That's a fair offer. The only thing that would have made this better was for the manager to call me himself to apologize. I'm happy Stephanie was receptive to the feedback, and I'm sure it will help her train her employees in the future. read more

This Wienerschnitzel needs to get their hours straight. I went to this location recently on a Friday night at 10:00pm with a serious craving for chili cheese dogs, and was turned away and told the location was closed for the day. I was confused because the hours posted on the window said they were open until 11:00pm and online it said 12:00am. When I inquired about the hours with older man at the counter, he told me the hours vary by location. His response made moderate sense except for the fact the hours in the window said they were open until 11:00pm. Get the posted and listed hours straight so customers don't travel to your location only to be turned away. read more

Cudos to the workers at this site. I went on one of the days that the fires had hit around the La Verne area and 100s of people were eating out on that particular day (I assume) due to the electrical outages. The drive through line had at least 8-10 cars waiting but I had gone to the walk-up window. One of the gentlemen let me know that they will be with me as soon as possible, but I knew it was going to be a while due to many cars in line. As I waited and watched how they were handling this, I was impressed as to how smoothly they ran the business without showing any frustration or chaos in the process. When they finally got to me, the gentleman was apologetic and while taking my order, gave me full attention for any special items needed. That also impressed me. I wish I knew his name. Even though it took a little longer than normal, my order was 100% correct. Thank you for treating your customers the way we would like to be treated. This makes a big difference. read more

New owner is an absolute joke. Ever since he took over the place has gone downhill. Cheap on the chili, mess up orders constantly, and one time I got a chili cheeseburger WITHOUT THE TOP BUN! However today was the final straw. I stopped by to grab an Oreo shake like I do all the time but this time the owner was there. I place my order then stand there and watch him make it. It was clear he has no clue what he's doing. He pours a ton of what looked like milk into the cup, then a little bit of ice cream, and the tiniest scoop of Oreos. Then I'm watching and I can already tell it's gonna be way too watery. He sees it and adds a little more ice cream and mixes it again and can see it's still completely messed up. Instead of starting over, he slides it across to the other window so the other guy has to give it to me and he walks off. I get in my car and take a sip and it was basically chocolate milk. It had the consistency of a shake that has been sitting out for 30 minutes. I walk back and I say "hey this shake way too watery", and he gets all defensive and goes "that's how our shakes are". I took the lid off and swirled it around just by moving my hand and I said "in what universe is this considered a shake, this is chocolate milk, just give me a refund". He says "I'm not giving you a refund!" All pissed off giving me serious attitude when I was being cool at first. After arguing with me about the quality of the shake, he said he would make me another one but he clearly doesn't know how to make it, plus at that point I just want my money back. Never once did I get an apology, all I got was him trying to justify this monstrosity of a shake and telling me he won't give me my money back. At that point I was about to throw it in his face but I just set in on the counter and walked away. The guy has the biggest ego on earth and I'll be surprised if he doesn't run that place into the ground. I ate here once a week even with the food mess ups but after dealing with that clown I'll never give him another dime. read more

I have an issue when i hear gloves are optional! Especially during a pandemic. I'm tired of going and risking 50/50 if you are going to get a crew wear gloves dipping ice cream and making food or having a sweaty person in this summer heat wearing no gloves preparing food. I think this is a family ran franchise. These people work really hard! Sometimes I think they're there 7 days a week. I believe the owners are an older couple and for their age, I truly believe they are on their toes! And so so sweet! Had a great experience here today. The cashier was very friendly, she wore a mask and I saw her put a new pair of gloves on while bagging my food. 01/20/19, I visited this location. Ordered the "new" all beef hotdog which I should remind you is subposably a premium version of their dogs. The dog I received was old and appeared shriveled/discolored! I drove back and spoke with the female owner. I addressed the fact the dog was old and that it appeared to have been sitting for hours. Most red blooded Americans know what a old and fresh hotdog look like. The owner replaced my all beef dog with a newly made one. She opened and showed it to me prior to me leaving. But, when I got home, I saw the dog was old and looked like it was sitting for some time. (I have ordered this all beef dog in the past without any issues). Be aware for old, left out hotdogs (Aka beef jerky!)at this location. I'm not impressed and I hope they correct this practice of serving old dogs! read more

5 stars for fast food? Yes! Within the parameters of fast food, they absolutely deserve it. Seriously this is the best if you like Wienerschnitzel. I've been to a fair few and most of them suck. In general, they're nasty but the owners of this particular franchise always get it right.
