Always worth a ride through the pines to visit this iconic location. Sits right on the water with tables down by the dock. I've only ever ordered two hotdogs with mustard and relish with a side of fries and a large root beer, so I know that order is amazing, but have no idea if anything else is good. lol. I'm sure it is. I hadn't been here in 20 years since I was a kid visiting on my dads boat. 20 years later I was really impressed and really enjoyed my solo lunch after an eye dr. Apt. Wish i could have pulled up on boat but I dont have one now lol. But that was a solid sandwich on GREAT bread with a big old frosted mug of root beer all at a total of only $17. That was great! This place is just plain fun, we came here twice on our vacation , once just us and once with the grandkids! The big hit was the food but especially the root beer , diet and regular, in a frosty mug! Went here with my family as part of our Long Beach Vacation on Sunday June 9th 2024, after touring the Tuckertown seaport musuem that is nearby. We walked in the place, and it was the 50's galore! 45's were all over the walls, and it was very orange. This was my first time in a stewarts actually, and it definitely takes one back to simple times. My family and i just wanted milkshakes, so we did not sit down inside. We went to the to go, where I ordered a small Chocolate milkshake, My dad ordered root beer float medium with chocolate ice cream, and my mom ordered an orange creamsicle float with vanila ice cream. There are plenty of tables outside in which we sat at, and enjoyed our treats. price was reasonable. enjoyed my chocolate shake, and my family enjoyed theirs too. What a nice day to sit outside on the docks with a nice breeze blowing. The best thing for me was the root beer, If you want to get it in a frosted mug you have to eat inside since they do not allow glass mugs at the seating near the docks. Fried flounder, and cod sandwiches were good, the fish to roll ratio was difinitely a little on the skimpy side. They ran out of steamers, so they adjusted the price for the small portion they brought out to us. We will come back again to try some of the other items on the menu, they have a very nice selection. read more

I'm constantly being harrassed by the owners of this location from my previous genuine review I posted about our terrible experience getting food here. They served us chicken that was undercooked and red that ultimately got us sick. Instead of an apology from the owners of this establishment they constantly are harassing me and my family. I've wanted to try Stewart's for a long time and was so happy to finally fulfill that desire. Twice. So get ready for a lengthier review. Oh, and the pickles that come with the burgers are *chef's kiss* Tip: You can try any of the flavors at the ice cream counter! I will have to get the vanilla peanut butter for my shake next time. What we got: Root beer float with vanilla ice cream - 3* nothing remarkable but nice and refreshing. An average float. Black Cherry float with salted pretzel caramel ice cream - 4* the pretzels are dipped in chocolate so didn't get soggy. They were a bit weird, but that was expected. The caramel was fantastic with the soda. And the soda itself was amazing! Black Raspberry milkshake - 4* super refreshing. Turning the ice cream to a milkshake did dim the taste of the ice cream but it was still good. And the shake is nice and thick. Blue Cheese Blast Burger - 5* this burger was amazing and I'm usually not a blue cheese fan. I'd get it again. Hot Rod Burger - 3.5* the first few bites were unremarkable. But when I finally got to the hot sauce and jalapenos in the middle it got a lot better. Bacon Cheeseburger - 4.5* a solid decent burger that gave my partner exactly what they were looking for. I'd say 4* after my bite, but I only had a bite and defer to the individual who ate the whole thing. Route 66 Burger - 3* the pulled pork wasn't phenomenal, kind of expected from a fast food joint. I'm always skeptical when there's an ownership change and last year when Stewart's changed hands, it was siad that everything would remain the same. It was all last year. This year...different story. I'm good with small changes, but when you change the actual hot dogs it's a deal-breaker. 20+ years they had the same brand of dogs and now they changed them to something, that I don't know what it is. It's not a Sabrett or anything like that. Tastes like a budget smoky repeater dog. Like something on a roller in a convenience store. Real bummer. Like the old saying. This past weekend I took a trip to the beach. I always loved going to a classic joint like Stewart's to remind me of when I was a kid. The restaurant does a great job of taking you back to the past. Their root beer was amazing tasted way better than the ones from the store. Was in a big ice cold glass. I ordered a chilli cheese dog with raw onions and some fries. Ambience is wonderful management is not open to any type of criticism. We have been going here since 1999. We are a 5 minute ride by car but the kids (even my now grown ones) love to take a ride up the creek to go get ice cream. We will miss going there. read more

Rode out to Tuckerton and decided to have lunch at Stewart's. Sat indoors because it was cooler. No wait. Sat ourselves. Servers kept changing and they were all fine. There were 5 in our group, everyone had rootbeer and I had coffee. 2 had cheeseburgers and said they were just "okay" 2 had black bean wrap which was pretty decent. And 1 had cheese dogs and said they tasted like crap. Fries were good. Probably won't return, but at least it was a nice break from our ride. Oh...bathroom's are NOT handicap accessible. read more
