I'm extremely disappointed with how this Jersey Mike's location handled my gluten-free order. I specifically ordered gluten-free because I need to avoid gluten for medical reasons, yet basic cross-contact precautions were not followed. The slicer and preparation counter were visibly dirty and had not been properly cleaned before my gluten-free sandwich was prepared. When you offer gluten-free options and serve customers who may have celiac disease or other medical reasons for avoiding gluten, simply using gluten-free bread is not enough. The equipment and preparation area also need to be handled appropriately to minimize cross-contact. I understand that a restaurant cannot guarantee a completely gluten-free environment, but using a visibly dirty slicer and counter for a gluten-free order is an avoidable sanitation and cross-contact issue. Jersey Mike's has a reputation for taking gluten-free orders seriously, which is one of the reasons customers with dietary restrictions choose to eat there. Why ask if it's an allergy or preference if you aren't going to even change your gloves???? I hope management addresses this with the staff and reinforces proper cleaning and gluten-free preparation procedures. The ambiance is very chill and there are multiple tables available if you decide to dine in. They also offer a rewards program which is the perfect way to score free food if you are a frequent visitor. My go to favorite sub is #17 the Philly Cheesesteak on Rosemary Parmesan bread (Regular Size). I typically take mine to go so I get lettuce, tomatoes, onion and pickles on the side and this location is definitely a hidden gem in the Mayfield Heights area! read more

I can't believe the place has been within miles of me for years. Went to get a party box. Gentlemen helping was friendly and patient with my questions. Helped me put a small party box together with a variety of subs. This location is spacious, clean, and has a few tables. Fountain and bottle drinks available. Our box of subs was perfect for our small get together. Subs were fresh and had great flavor. Everyone enjoyed them. Will stop to eat in very soon. read more

Yum. I was familiar with this chain, but not this location. This location pulled up on Google when i was looking for lunch. This location is clean and the employees are welcoming. I was using my birthday coupon. In the loyalty club, you receive a free regular sub and 22 oz drink. I chose the Italian sub and it was so tasty. Oh I miss this sub place, this is a nice location we visited while in the Cleveland Metro Area.. It's a franchise/chain. They do not toast sandwiches but the breads are perfect and they slice fresh the meats and cheeses. You can have whatever you want on it, I recommend the hogue spread, Olive Oil and Vinegar and your favorite veggies and condiments. I got the Roast Beef with Provolone the husband got the Italian. The inside of the place is clean and plenty of places to sit or get it's go. They have white, wheat or rosemary Parmesan bread you should try that. The subs are great and the prices are good. So maybe I expected too much because I trust the tastes of the people who recommended Jersey Mike's. First thing I noticed was that the people behind the counter looked unhappy and acted like they didn't give a damn. I tried the Rosemary Parm bread, and did a cold roast beef sub. The choices of veggies are not as plentiful as Subway nor as fresh. The Mike's sauce was very good. Overall, the sandwich was average. Even the roast beef wasn't as good as Deitz and Watson's. The bread was average. The veggies were nothing special. My local ratings of Sub restaurants are easily Dave's Cosmic and DiBella's on top, followed by Subway at a sizable distance away. read more

Totally delicious meat madness to the mouth! Rosemary Parmesan bread takes everything up like five notches abs that's huge considering how good it all was/is. I got the ham/cappicola one with added hot pepper relish it was crazy good! Huge juicy tomato slices, lettuce crisp and not brown, their dressing topped it all off like a true sub shop with culinary tastebuds backing up their options. Divine is all I can say. read more

Certainly appreciate their ability to make a quick tasty sandwich! I did not like the person making my sandwich used the same gloves to handle raw meat directly touching the meat and then make my entire sandwich, touching the bread and wrapping to make my sandwich. Then, when they thought I wasn't looking, my bread was accidentally rubbed all over the side of the grille. Mayfield is not lacking when it comes to sub shops. Lots of options. I love a good sandwich so I decided to try out Jersey Mikes. I never heard of them before and I didn't know what to expect. I walked in and it was clean and bright with 3 people behind the counter. They have a clean dining area. Mike (THE Mike?) greeted me and took my order, a Sub Club Mike's Way. He put the meats on a bun and then passed the sandwich to another worker who finished the sandwich and asked me if I wanted it Mikes Way. (Of course) Mike then stepped down to the register and rung me up for $7. The third worker had their back to the counter. The service seemed rushed, yet they weren't busy and workers didn't look happy to be there. When I got home I found they made the wrong sandwich!? Instead of a Club, they left out the bacon and mayo. It was just a dry turkey sub. I checked the receipt and it said Sub Club. Yep, they screwed it up. Otherwise, the sandwich was really nothing special and not very big for $7. Subway is better and cheaper. If you order it "Mike's Way" as I did, it will have way too many onions, a little lettuce, tomato, herbs, oil & vinegar. There were more onions than lettuce! I understand that mistakes happen and I really hope they do better, because with all the other sub shops in town they won't be around very long with the service I received. In the same plaza there are 2 other places with great subs, one right next door. If you want a real sandwich go check out the Dynamic Duo north by SOM on Rt6. I have celiac and found Jersey Mike's using the Find Me Gluten Free app. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, walked me through their protocol - and made me a great turkey and provolone sub. So, my son and I are doing a, "Sub Tour" this Summer in search of what we consider to be the best-testing chain sub. We have been to DiBella's, Jimmy Johns, Dave's Cosmic Subs, Jersey Mike's and Potbelly. But first, a fair review of Jersey Mike's. What I love is the fresh-sliced turkey and the option for a mini sub. Finally someone who doesn't shove an 8" sub in your face and say sorry, that is the smallest sub we have. I would say the bread is the worst tasting of all the places we have been ...very blah and tastes slightly chemical. But overall, lots of options for chicken-based sandwiches, hot subs and wraps so thumbs up for that. Now, my ranking? Being from New Jersey originally and wanting something good, I decided to go to Jersey Mike's Subs with my son. It was a little busy and we stood in line. We ordered three subs, a cheesesteak (growing up in Jersey right across the river from Philadelphia, I knew it wouldn't stand up to scrutiny, but I did it anyway), a turkey club and a meatball sub. My son loved the meatball sub. I on the other hand was not impressed. The cheesesteak was dry and very salty. I saw the person prepare it by chopping up the steak and onions and I did not see seasoning added but it was salty. They don't give you a chance to add any additional toppings to the hot sandwich as it was wrapped and bagged when they called your name. After two small bites, I was done. I then tasted the turkey club I purchased for my wife, even saltier. The bread was not tasty at all and in my humble opinion, you can get a better tasting sub from Subway and they are not too good to begin with. Nothing great or good but to each their own. read more

I started going to Jersey Mike's recently as it's along my route to work in the winter. I found using the smart phone app was incredibly convenient. I could make an order, have it paid for, and snag it in a matter of minutes. I literally walk to the register, they ask my first name and hand over the goods. Another plus, the app tracks your reward points, and rewards you with subs as your points accumulate. I love this amenity! This store is located on a street with every chain sandwich store imaginable in NE Ohio, but I don't find their sandwiches as good as Jersey Mike's. Whether you like your subs hot or cold, they have plenty of options. I find their Italian sub very good (cold) but on the coldest days I prefer their Philly Chicken or Beef sandwiches. I haven't had their wraps, but I am sure they are fine. They offer chips, cookies, sodas and other beverages, but I mostly stick to the subs. Jersey Mike's offers catering, but I haven't had the pleasure of being at an event that has used it. I agree with their slogan, they are indeed a "Sub Above". read more
