Honestly, the quality of food and service was quite poor. The meatball-sub had a stale roll and there was barely any tomato sauce. The cashier didn't know how to use a Visa gift card and I ended up paying with a debit card instead. Unsure why they didn't put napkins in my bag but it's not that difficult to put two napkins in the bag with the food! The meatballs at the former Euclid location were always absolutely delicious and large. Tonight's meatballs were much smaller and seemed like Aldi quality. I'm not sure what is going on but we had them a few months ago and their sandwiches were full even if it was just steak and cheese. Today we ordered 2 reg buttered steak with cheese, 1 with mushrooms and 2 cold subs and the buttered steaks had like 2 slices of whatever meat you want to call that. It's pathetic. Usually it's chopped up but seriously?? And on top of that they raised the prices???? FOR WHAT?? You get more meat on a Arby's sandwich or at Diamondback new cheese steak place. You really need to either train your employees on proper portion control or fix the whole portions all together . Just sad. read more

I grew up eating hot crispy delicious sub's at this little place outside Detroit. Best subs That I've ever had. Sadly Cleveland has no sub shops that compare to Captain Nemo's ( if you're ever in Detroit search them out) OMG awesome.... This is a locally owned ( actually Papa Joe) philly style cheesesteak shop. I usually order the Super steak. Cheesesteak with grilled onions and mushrooms topped with lettuce and tomato and oil dressing.. Great sandwich spot if you're in Eastlake. Choose this over Mr Hero. I doubt you will be disappointed. read more

Had a great experience last night. A great takeout place if you want a delicious sub or salad they also have a few other items on the menu as well. A sign is posted on the door requesting all guests wear a mask. We were greater by friendly staff and placed our order. The staff asked if we would like to wait in our car and they would bring our order out to us. It did not take long for the good to come out. I ordered the large deluxe which is hot buttered cheese steak with onions and mushrooms. Not only was the sub hot it was absolutely delicious. The bread was so soft and fresh it really took the sub to a whole nother level. I also had a large order of fries. The fries were not greasy and were very crisp. My wife had the tuna salad and just raved about it. In all a great experience. We will definitely be back. read more

For about 9 bucks and 6 minutes you can get a blazing hot barbecue beef sub with very soft white bread. The roast beef had basically no barbecue sauce- just a tiny bit- and had a gamey almost gyro taste to it. Not bad but not expected. Plain, didn't come with the mayo I asked for. read more

I used to eat hear all the time when I was in high school. It's still a great sub shop. I like their All Italian Sub; the Italian dressing they use is great and there is a ton of meat. I also love the Sausage Torpedoe with mushrooms and provolone. And you can't forget their Fried Mushrooms...mmm! They also have their bucket of spaghetti or rigatoni family dinner. The bread is sub standard. This is very important to an Italian sub. It should be crusty with bit of chew. The All Italian is top of their menu but the roll is poor and not meeting what I expect and I'm use to eating in Philly. The business should step up their bread if wanting to stay in business. Went to lunch today at papa joes and got a deluxe hot buttered cheese steak and mozzarella sticks. The sandwich was awesome just like always but I decided I wanted to try a side of mozzarella sticks. They were $5.25 so I figured I would get a good amount... I only got 5 and they were like grocery store bought and microwaved. Today was my first time here and I will never go back. I ordered a large sandwich and after the employee showed me the sign of what was included on all sandwiches, I said "just easy onions". I did not want lettuce, tomatoes, or the Italian dressing. When I got back to work, I was surprised to see what basically amounted to a lettuce sandwich (along with tomatoes, Italian dressing and if there were easy onions, I didn't see them). I called to express my dissatisfaction and was unpleasantly surprised by the attitude as I happened to be talking to the actual person who took my order and made my sandwich. Like most places, they suggested I bring it back but since that was not possible, I suggested a replacement sandwich next time I go in. I was told "no problem, as long as you bring the sandwich back". I've never heard of any store requesting the sandwich be returned at a later date and to refrigerate it until whenever the next time I can go in. I can understand a place of business wanting to verify someone made a purchase in order to get a replacement although this person remembered me and making my sandwich 10 minutes prior. What is the purpose of having me return the sandwich at a later date? For $8.25, even with the excessive shredded lettuce I had to peel off (I don't eat lettuce), it was a sub-par sandwich with very little meat. If this place was willing to replace my sandwich at no charge (provided I was willing to bring it in), then I am surprised they so willingly accepted my statement of never going back. Not a good way to run a restaurant. The worst part? Not even an apology. Just an excuse and weak attempts at not accepting blame. read more
