Been coming here for years. There was a recent ownership change as I've been told. The long-time family owners sold to a local restaurant chain. I hope that was good for the family. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The menu is the same, the staff is pleasant, and it is clean, but you can feel it's a different place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My LEO was horribly overcooked, as was the veg omelette. Weird to overcook eggs when the place was half-full at 11:00. I need to return and try the CB and pastrami before I make a decision about how the new owners are doing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I do hate paper signs and they were all over the front deli cabinet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Another great breakfast at Jacks Deli. Host and waiter were very friendly and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Many tables and booths in this spacious dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Eggs, toast, and potatoes were great. Fresh with good flavor. My daughter enjoyed her French toast. Great spot for breakfast.

I used to go to Jack's all the time when I first moved to Cleveland 5 years ago but haven't been in 3 years. I remember it being pretty good but pretty expensive for a kosher-style deli. Is it still good? Still expensive? Yes and yes! I took my long-distance boyfriend to Jack's for a pre-Shabbat lunch when he was in town in mid-April 2025. I had hyped it up and hoped it would deliver. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The entire place was very busy and full of yummy looking deli meats and desserts that I had to resist (I can't afford a lot here!).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I want to try their Russian tea biscuit next time though and see how it compares to Davis Bakerys! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is nothing special and the waitstaff were pretty aloof.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Oh well. It's a deli! I ordered a not so hungry portion of Jack's Juicy Corned beef on challah bread and a side of potato salad. My boyfriend, who was keeping kosher for Passover rules the week we went to Jack's, got Jared's Freessers Delight with applesauce. His latkes were yummy and I enjoyed the corned beef slices but the challah bread wasn't that yummy. I've had way better challah. Remind me not to buy my challah from Jack's. The potato salad was pretty good. Very creamy, if that's your thing. Our bill came to nearly $40 for two lunch meals and one soda. That's insane! He enjoyed his meal and had no complaints as he lives in a city with limited options for Jewish food so he was grateful to have anything. I will be coming back to Jack's in the future but maybe I'll try to order food that offers more for my money.

We have been to this deli many times. It was sold recently and the people that were there for years are gone and the character has changed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place doesn't seem as clean as it was and the service is not as good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had soup and sandwiches. The Matzah ball soup was luke warm and the matzah ball was cold in the middle. The corned beef was still tasty and plentiful for a half sandwich. My wife's turkey sandwich was tasty and ample as well. The deli counter was still there and the baked good were still there. The prices have gone up tremendously. Last time, lox was $46 a pound. Guess we'll continue to go there since it's almost the only game in town.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Old style Jewish deli. As good as it gets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you looking for healthier option, while they have very limited. If you are looking for deli type of stuff - this place will be your heaven. Corn beef hash, Pastrami, blintzes, latkes... as good as it gets

Jacks is back to its former glory with the new ownership, and maybe even better than that. Best potato pancake and turkey ruben I've ever had. Great service to.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very deli style feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was friendly and fast! Wish I could remember the name of my server, thinner black man, really cool guy! Food was fast, delicious and gave mom pop vibes.

We came here on a Saturday during lunchtime and it was packed. We had to wait in line for quite some time to be seated. You literally wait in a line in a very small crowded area. Once we were seated, our waiter was very fast paced! Got us our water and coffee right away. And took our orders quickly after. The menu was very large and expansive. Plenty of options for vegetarians or gluten-free preferences. We got the mini potato pancakes for an appetizer. DELISH!!! So creamy and good. My husband got the Reuben he said was excellent as well! I got the challah French toast, that was good, but nothing special. The only reason I took off a star was bc the dishes didn't feel the cleanest. Had that diner grime to them. And because I had high expectations for the French toast and it didn't meet them. Again, it was still tasty, I just set too high of expectations for it! (I love French toast and I thought the challah bread would add something unique to the dish and it didn't). Overall, I would 100% recommend! Just be prepared to wait!

When I walked in, I had to settle for an unbelievably delicious scrapple sandwich because they were temporarily out of pastrami. Scrapple with a handmade, red, cabbage, slaw, onion, marmalade, and cheese. So creative and so delicious. My wife had asparagus and fennel soup. The fennel perfectly cut through the richness of the asparagus. Add to this one of the best potato salads I've ever had and it would've been enough. Until Jeremy came over to the table with some fresh pastrami to taste. I don't know where the best pastrami in America is, but whatever it is it's unlikely to be better than this. This is a place you should not miss.

Good luck. They have a happy hour. We took advantage of that. $10 chicken sandwich and $5 fries. The fries are fresh cut and plenty to share. Super good. I am told the chicken sandwich was good. Chicken was thick and good. Pickles mayo all good. I got the pastrami. Pastrami is sliced thick with slaw and their homemade mustard. Pastrami good. Bread ok. Slaw OK. The homemade mustard was super strong and not that enjoyable. Had a kinda a horseradish taste. Didn't like it at all. Took over the meat. The meat by itself was pretty good. Moist, tender, tastee. But with the whole sandwich not good. Next time I know. And the sandwich for $18 was thick pieces of meat, I think I would have preferred sliced thin and stacked. Kinda like corn beef is. I think I wouldn't have fought eating it so much. Thick slices were awkward and I couldn't eat it cleanly. It was a puzzle that kept falling apart. Had to put it back together and with the mustard was too much for me. I did get a chocolate phosphate. Hadn't had one in a decade. It was good. Paper straw made it impossible to drink the last few sips cuz it can't hold up. We did get a black and white cookie to go and an oatmeal pie. Both really good. Oh and if you see a bakery item get it when you see it. Otherwise it's gone. Ordering dinner I saw a chocolate chip cookie but by the time I went to get it, it was gone. Prices for happy hour were good. But it's not cheap. Our bill was $47 total. That was 2 sandwiches, 1 order of fries, 2 drinks a phosphate and canned drink. No cookies. We got those later. So not cheap. Would I go back. Yes. I feel like I would try something else and give it a shot. I think now I know I'd do better.
