Been coming here for years. There was a recent ownership change as I've been told. The long-time family owners sold to a local restaurant chain. I hope that was good for the family. The menu is the same, the staff is pleasant, and it is clean, but you can feel it's a different place. My LEO was horribly overcooked, as was the veg omelette. Weird to overcook eggs when the place was half-full at 11:00. I need to return and try the CB and pastrami before I make a decision about how the new owners are doing. I do hate paper signs and they were all over the front deli cabinet.

Another great breakfast at Jacks Deli. Host and waiter were very friendly and welcoming. Place was clean. Many tables and booths in this spacious dining area. Eggs, toast, and potatoes were great. Fresh with good flavor. My daughter enjoyed her French toast. Great spot for breakfast.

I used to go to Jack's all the time when I first moved to Cleveland 5 years ago but haven't been in 3 years. I remember it being pretty good but pretty expensive for a kosher-style deli. Is it still good? Still expensive? Yes and yes! I took my long-distance boyfriend to Jack's for a pre-Shabbat lunch when he was in town in mid-April 2025. I had hyped it up and hoped it would deliver. The entire place was very busy and full of yummy looking deli meats and desserts that I had to resist (I can't afford a lot here!). I want to try their Russian tea biscuit next time though and see how it compares to Davis Bakerys! The interior is nothing special and the waitstaff were pretty aloof. Oh well. It's a deli! I ordered a not so hungry portion of Jack's Juicy Corned beef on challah bread and a side of potato salad. My boyfriend, who was keeping kosher for Passover rules the week we went to Jack's, got Jared's Freessers Delight with applesauce. His latkes were yummy and I enjoyed the corned beef slices but the challah bread wasn't that yummy. I've had way better challah. Remind me not to buy my challah from Jack's. The potato salad was pretty good. Very creamy, if that's your thing. Our bill came to nearly $40 for two lunch meals and one soda. That's insane! He enjoyed his meal and had no complaints as he lives in a city with limited options for Jewish food so he was grateful to have anything. I will be coming back to Jack's in the future but maybe I'll try to order food that offers more for my money.

We have been to this deli many times. It was sold recently and the people that were there for years are gone and the character has changed. The place doesn't seem as clean as it was and the service is not as good. We had soup and sandwiches. The Matzah ball soup was luke warm and the matzah ball was cold in the middle. The corned beef was still tasty and plentiful for a half sandwich. My wife's turkey sandwich was tasty and ample as well. The deli counter was still there and the baked good were still there. The prices have gone up tremendously. Last time, lox was $46 a pound. Guess we'll continue to go there since it's almost the only game in town.

Jacks is back to its former glory with the new ownership, and maybe even better than that. Best potato pancake and turkey ruben I've ever had. Great service to.

Old style Jewish deli. As good as it gets. If you looking for healthier option, while they have very limited. If you are looking for deli type of stuff - this place will be your heaven. Corn beef hash, Pastrami, blintzes, latkes... as good as it gets

Very deli style feel. Service was friendly and fast! Wish I could remember the name of my server, thinner black man, really cool guy! Food was fast, delicious and gave mom pop vibes.

There are meat trimmings everywhere, tubs of pickles, and the sense that the folks behind the counter know exactly what they are doing. The small dining room is packed with people sitting elbow to elbow, gripping massive sandwiches with stadium mustard in the corners of their mouths. It is loud, cramped, messy, and glorious. I joined the line just before 11 and got inside about 11:50 AM. I'm currently standing in line waiting on my sandwich which is a corned beef melt. I ordered a corned beef melt, which is toasted rye, cornbeef, double Swiss cheese - hot & melted with Kraut on the side and dressing. I got a side of potato pancakes, and also coleslaw. The folks were extremely friendly on the inside, very welcoming and very efficient as they worked to make who knows how many meals. And you'll be glad to know every sandwich comes with a dill pickle, wrapped in its own paper and ready for delicious consumption! The dill is a big deal to me because I like spears, as in the pickle not necessarily (in this case) the pop star! Come early and be ready to wait! The place is really kitchsy and has a great atmosphere. And the folks really make it awesome to be there. It has the feel of a destination restaurant the kind of place that is an experience to visit not just because of the food because of the culture and the people and the phenom that it has become.

I may be biased as a Ukrainian, but I love this food especially when missing being home, this is as close to home cooking that I found. If you're reluctant to come, at least come and try their foods in their deli section. Try the stuffed cabbage rolls, the pilaf with lamb, some cabbage salad. Yeleseyevsky Deli is my favorite local Russian store. I have been visiting this store for years. I always highly recommend it! Layout/Assortment: The store recently moved to a new, updated location. It is well lit, spacious, tidy, and well organized. The store departments are similar to what you would expect at a grocery store. Dairy, seafood, baked goods, produce, frozen foods, canned goods, prepared foods, vitamins, souvenirs, and wine categories can be found here. This store has more expansive inventory than other similar stores in the area. Products originate from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Turkey, and other parts of the world. All products are clearly labeled with the original language and English ingredient lists which makes the shopping experience less intimidating for a newbie. Recommended buys: If you're Russian, you'll be pleasantly surprised and nostalgic about everything. Kvas bread drink in the fridges, Olivie salad in the deli, Alenka chocolate at checkout, Russian greeting cards for every occasion, and the list goes on. If you're looking to explore Russian and European cuisine, I recommend trying Doktorskaya bologna (slightly smokey and flavorful), Belochka chocolate waffle cake (bold chocolate flavor), Ivan Chai (firewood tea with campfire taste), and Siberian pelmeni (so tasty). Feeling more adventurous? Try Birchtree juice, caviar, vodka-filled chocolates, frozen seaberry, Siberian pinecone jam, and oak broom for your next banya (sauna) visit. Service: The service is friendly especially if you're a regular. The store employees are bilingual - Russian and English. The checkout process is very expeditious. Savings: The store offers - "buy more, save more." Your receipt will be stamped with a coupon at checkout when you meet certain purchase threshold. Don't forget to grab free Russian newspapers on the shelves next to the entrance! They contain information about local events and businesses. Parking: Large parking lot is available in the front and the back of the store. Parking is very convenient. This store is suitable for routine grocery shopping and exploring new global foods. It's also a great destination if you're looking for a gift - greeting cards and boxed chocolates available. Or if you're looking to host a tea party - plenty of tasty sweets. I highly recommend visiting this store!
