I love sandwiches - especially cold subs but my first experience at Jersey Mike's Subs fell short of my expectations. The sandwich was seriously lacking in the flavor department. I ordered The Original Italian, Mike's Way. The bread itself seemed slightly overbaked, making it drier than the rolls I'm used to. Plus it had too much gritty cornmeal, which made it messy to eat. And there wasn't enough to make up in flavor. Service was good so I'll bump up the star. Ambiance is typical for a casual sub shop. This Jersey Mike's is located on Frederick just south of the 60 freeway in Moreno Valley near Raising Cane's and Chipotle. I really wanted to like this place that's why I decided to try it out. I love Jersey Mike's, but I haven't had good service at this location the last few times ... when I asked for white bread. I was told they ran out. Then 3 minutes later a new customer asked for it. That employee went to the back to get it. I guess the employee that was helping me didn't want to take a few extra steps to help me out. Then there was a fly all over one of my sandwiches as they were making them. I pointed it out. I think if I didn't mention it they would not throw it away and make me a new one.... I usually order thru the app and try to time it to when I'll be there. Well, every time I go in they always tell me my food is "almost done". I'm usually ordering with at least 15 minutes ahead, so, they have time. But charitable thinking is that they got busy. I'm always stuck waiting a couple minutes. Yesterday was kinda my limit. I ordered a hot sub. The most charitable thinking I have for this whole experience is that they wanted to make sure it was hot. Except no. I walked in, she asked for my name, and then she just randomly pointed to some bags behind her and proceeds to ignore me. This leaves me confused. A couple minutes later another girl starts to make something that looked like my sandwich. Turns out it is sandwich. People are coming in and ordering and leaving, while I'm still being actively ignored. More than 10 minutes of waiting. Which may not sound like a lot but if I was trying to grab my lunch on break from work, it would have been a problem. Anyways, I got my order finally. I didn't bother with asking for anyone's name. When I arrived there was no one in here. I was helped immediately so that was nice. I've had their sandwiches before but was wanting something lighter since I was out running errands. I opted for a Super Sub in a tub, Mike's way. Even though they seemed to put a lot of seasoning on top, everything was a little bland. I found myself adding salt to try and pull some flavor out. Expect terrible service with a side of attitude. As I came in the so called manager was arguing with a customer whose order was suppose to be ready at 11:59 and the time was 12:35! I walked in and asked about my online order that was suppose to be ready as well and he said they were working on it. I could see the had just put it on the grill. Granted it's fresh but if you set a time expectation when you order ahead they need to work on having it ready. The guy at counter doesn't even apologize for the long wait. Called the store, was told the manger was away but the person who took my call would help me. After I explained what happened her only solution was to bring in our sandwiches so they can take a look at them. Unfortunately not an option for me, I don't live close the store and I don't feel well. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me. Fine, here I am on Yelp and attaching pictures for all to see. I plan to take my business elsewhere. So after the gym, we decided to get some Jersey Mike's! Parking was pretty bad outside due to the plaza being very busy. We decided to get a Giant Chipotle Steak on Rosemary bread. The sandwich took about 10 minutes to prepare. The girl that was making the sandwich for us was very helpful and we got a good portion of meat. Atmosphere: 3 stars. This Jersey Mike's is in a great area - lots of banks, places to eat, the 60 freeway and specialty stores. The place did have a few dirty tables though. I thought they might have been busy but even when it was not it looked like they were busy with food prep work. I figured one of three of them ought to have taken the opportunity clean the tables while it was slow. Service: 4 stars. The sandwich was made fast and fresh but the cashier could have been friendlier. Value: 4 stars. A regular sandwich basically costs $9 and change. Its a good amount of sandwich and fills up me and most people I know. The real question is what else is out there you can get for the same or less. The truth is, for the level of quality, $9 and change is the price we have to pay for a better than "Subway" sandwich. Quality: 5 star. The sandwich was fresh but not the best Jersey Mike's I have tasted still better than Subway and such. Not the best experience and won't be returning. I have been a loyal customer since when it opened in 2013. Manager Emily is not customer service oriented. She nit picked me about a basic sandwich that I have been ordering since they opened. I usually don't eat ham due to diet restrictions and substitute peppeperoni and leave out the cheese. For some reason on this day, I was told because it was modified, that I would be charged differently, first time ever. I tried to let her know that I had been ordering this same sub for many years. The lady was dismissive and seemed oddly proud of how she treated me. I was hungry so I payed the extra unfair charge, but that will be the last time I order this overrated sandwich. I visit other locations and they are much fresher with the bread they put slices of avocado on your bread instead of smashed up whatever that is they put at this location. This review is based off my last visit...although I've been on other occasions & this particular female was extremely rude. I've been here multiple times & never really had an issue when I've ordered my veggie sandwich. Typically the other workers get my cheese from the cold bar behind the assembly line of the sandwiches, because again is a vegetarian sandwich. This worker proceeded to cut my cheese RIGHT AFTER she had just cut meat & my mom said normally they get cheese from the back because it's veggie & the worker very rudely said oh well that's how I do it. I had to interject & say I'm sorry but I don't eat meat, you just cut my cheese after you cut the meat. She was obviously irritated...after she turns her back & does whatever w. My sandwich she places my veggie sandwich in between 2 meat sandwiches w. The meat touching my cheese & she ABSOLUTELY did it on purpose. I kindly asked the man at the toppings station to give me new cheese. Once we were paying I asked the man what the workers name was & he said we don't give out names. I said what if I have a complaint? He just gives me a look kinda shrugs me off & says ok......the pure rudeness alone will make me never wanna go back there again! The receipt is from my actual visit. I wanted to purchase additional items for my kids, but I was so irritated I didn't want to spend more money there & didn't even want to eat my food. My fiancé and I LOVE their Manager's Special. Their subs are huge! We love to go "Mike's Way", easy on the juices. But for the cold roast beef sub, go regular on the juices or regular mayo. I actually prefer Jersey Mike's to all the other sub places out there. It's fresh, the meats & cheese are freshly sliced and they have rosemary+cheese bread!!! My personal fave. The warm subs are good too but for us, it feel more heavier, so we often opt for the cold subs. The workers have always been excellent & helpful on each visit. What more could one ask for? I rarely attend this location as I don't live nearby. However, today I decided to stop on my way home with my 9 year old son. The food as always was amazing, but the store associates including the manager named Mary made the experience very unpleasant. I walked in the store and was greeted. One of the employees took down my order and started making it. The manager was at the cash register already asking me to check me out which was very rushed. I went along with it as she asked if I wanted the combo, I proceed to tell her yes and I asked my son if he wanted one as well. While he went to the fridge to look at the options he asked me if he should get one for his brother so my attention went to him and deviated away from her. After I answered him, the employee making my sanwhich asked me if I wanted my sanwhich mikes way. I answered her and looked back at the manager so I can pay, she walked away and told the two other employees working saying "she tried, I have other things to do" and Mary and the other employees proceed to laugh. I was very upset as she was the individual who had rushed me since the beginning and then decides to walk away because I wasn't ready when she was. AND she did this in front of my son who walks back to the register from the fridge with his gaterade looking confused. I still kept calm and used my manners and asked for her name, then I found out she was the manager of the place, it disgust me. As a manager poor customer service should never be an issue. Because of this, I was distracted and did not order my toppings correctly and it completely messed up my sandwich. I will not be going here anytime soon. read more

Very rude! One of the workers splashed the red spread on me, and the young girl (behind the register with the blonde chunky highlights and pig tails) laughed at me. I asked for a napkin and she just pointed towards the fountain drinks for me to get it. No "I'm sorry", no "can I help you with that". Sandwich was messy and falling apart Place was filthy with food particles all over the floor. Well... I think I may have just eaten the BEST SUB I've ever had! I'll have to really think on that... but I think so. Back in th 70's, K-Mart used to have a Snack Shop & Icee & Candy Counter center store. As a kid I was fascinated by these magic marvels. One thing they used to sell a lot of was subs--in fact, I think THAT was my first memory of the word 'submarine' referring to a sandwich. They were pre-made, plastic-wrapped, and stacked into 'sandwich pyramids' atop the counters, around the store, to grab'n go. How they got around the lack of refrigeration I'll never know.. but.. nobody cared.. we ate'em by the 'boat load' and they were great.. NOT! Cheap soggy spongey bread, slick'n slimey meats, wilted shredded letuce, and mushy cheese 'n pickles. But we still ate them.. cause they were magic.. and nobody knew any different.. way back then.. ...and 20 years later... Subway.. ...and 20 years later... JERSEY MIKE'S! Hurrrray! Boy, has the commen man's sub soared to new heights! I got the regular SUPER SUB, freshly prepared 'Mike's Way' to go. I think it must be better because quality meats are freshly carved and constructed before your eyes! A generous dose of Mike's magic sprinkle dust'n stuff is added.. but the BEST thing of all is their super authentic totally awesome east coast style fresh baked BREAD! Holy smokes, this bread rocks, complete with those little crunchy baker's corn meal type crustys! I LOVED every bite and loathed it's finish--I can't get it out of my mind.
