I waited over 15 min in the drive thru line for my order. I was the only vehicle in line and there was, from what I could see, only one other person inside. I asked if they were short staffed, and the employee said they were. Did she offer an apology for the wait? Did she thank me for my patience? Nope! I recently visited the Riverside location of Habit Burger & Grill after discovering that my onion rings were missing from a previous order. Since there was no phone number available for the store, I stopped by the next day to politely explain the situation and ask if it could be corrected. Instead of receiving an apology, the assistant manager responded dismissively and at one point said, "You're crazy." When the store manager came out, the assistant manager continued shouting comments from behind her, making the situation very uncomfortable. I want to be clear that the missing onion rings are not the real issue. Mistakes happen. The problem was the way the situation was handled -- being called "crazy," an employee trying to provoke an argument, and refusing to provide contact information for higher management. I left the store and later tried contacting customer service, but the call was disconnected. I hope corporate management reviews this situation, because customers should be treated respectfully when raising a concern. read more

We are longtime customers we love the habit. We are so excited about their new meal deal. However, when we received our food through the drive-through, we were incredibly disappointed.. instead of receiving chicken tenders they just gave us small flat chicken batter- the avocado was brown on our half of our son about the chart and our sides. The temporary green beans and the fries were incredibly dry and overcooked. This is the worst meal we've had at this restaurant, and the service was received was bad too. It was almost like she was mad that she had to service us. When I called to see if I can talk to someone, they told me that they don't have direct lines to their store and I would have to go online to file a complaint which I did, but haven't heard anything. I can always count on getting one of my favorites, either chicken sandwich or sliced beef sandwich I always order it on sourdough with grilled onions and teriyaki sauce. Sooo good. For the life of me, I am not sure why I continue to stop at this location thinking maybe they fixed their issues. Why is this location still open. I almost always go out of my way and eat at the Riverside Plaza location because even when they have a packed house the service is amazing and the restaurant is always clean. Third and last time for this location, slowest drive through ever, always lacking employees during peek hours for sale, wilted greens in the salads and dirty dining area. I usually order salads, my first visit in the drive thru I received one wrong salad with wilted lettuce, of course I never looked in the bag assuming they can't screw that up, my bad for not checking my order. Second experience I walked inside and the gal who attempted to help me didn't speak English so the manager took my order, again wilted lettuce. Just the other day I went through the drive thru again with 5 cars ahead of me (another long wait 29 minutes). Bought two salads, always chicken on the side to avoid wilting the lettuce and one extra side of chicken because the chicken breasts they use are so small it looks like it came from a pigeon. Well I checked my bag and found the side of chicken missing. I showed the contents to the employee and he proceeded to tell me that there was two orders of chicken in one container. I showed him both containers and they were identical, he tried to tell me that one was double meat, I made it quit clear that it wasn't. Someone finally handed him another chicken on the side and off I went. Got home and of course the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad had wilted but it was mixed with the wrong lettuce, half of it was Iceberg and leafy greens and hardly any Romain. The fry cook used industrial grade cleaning products and did not change gloves before handling cooked food. Cross contamination occurred and chemicals transferred to food. Do not go through the drive thru! You would never be able to see the mishandling of yours and other customers' food because it definitely occurs when no one is watching. She was talking all time time with her other co- workers while She was takimg my order causing to input my order wrong. When I picked my orser from the counter, I told her my order was wrong. She seems not to care at all. Someone else came to help me. When I left the counter, She made a gesture towards me to one of her co-workers. This is my 2nd time at this location and it seems to be slipping the shift manager seems to forget that us loyal burger eaters don't mind the wait we factor it in. Food poisoning alert!!!!! My son has been up all night throwing up. This is the only place he ate that is different from what the rest of the family ate so I know it's from this place. I read some of the Google and yelp reviews and noticed they have frequently served raw meat to customers. They are going to kill someone. Please check your meat before biting into it if you chose to eat here. shortly after eating here my son started feeling bad and has been sleeping in the bathroom next to the toilet because of how much he has been throwing up. One of the Santa Barbara did not have avocado which I believe it's what makes it a Santa Barbara, the other Santa Barbara I requested to add ketchup and mustard and the didn't add and the onions rings were maybe half of the actual portion, I had to wait and additional 15 minutes in the car for them to complete my order and after driving 3 minutes to a near by park to eat the buns were hard and the fries weren't crispy.
