The Cream of Potato soup was rich & filling with chunks of potatoes and bacon in a thick and creamy cheddar broth. The staff came out of the kitchen to ask how the food was. We ordered sandwiches - I had the Monte Cristo which came with 3 small apple slices and my husband ordered the Turkey Reuben on Rye, also with 3 small apple slices. Our food came out pretty quickly, freshly made to order. I love Monte Cristo sandwiches, and this one was the first I've had made with honey mustard dressing. It just didn't seem to go with it, in my opinion, and I'm glad I asked for it on the side. The sandwich itself was average, although I think it should be named something other than a Monte Cristo. My husband's sandwich was pretty good. And it turned out the apple slices were actually a nice accompaniment to the sandwiches, even though you only get three and they're very small and thin. The vegetables were good! My sirloin....the steak itself was good despite being a tad overcooked for medium rare. Something on the plate had a curry flavor - it just didn't all go together well. Then the lemon ricotta cheesecake....we didn't taste any lemon, it was thick and weirdly dry for a cheesecake. It also had freeze dried something on top....we actually weren't sure what. Some bright spots - the food quality! You can tell that these are top notch high quality ingredients, and the cocktails! They were yummy! I just don't like the weird combos and what (to me) feels like being weird for the sake of being different versus just being good. Since I only come up here a few times a season I likely will go to our other favorites or try new spots.

The prices and selection of items were also comparable. We got some essentials there during our vacation. It's located in a convenient place with other amenities nearby. There is also a Tesla supercharger right in the parking lot.

I got the food to go to bring back to the shed. The Pinkham Notch was a pressed sandwich, but it was disappointing to me. It was like they sliced a piece of bread laterally into two thin slices, which had deli ham and Swiss cheese. The cup of potato salad was very generic, similar to what can be found at the supermarket. However, the iced coffee was the only thing that was good, nice to drink on a hot sunny day.
