This was my first visit to Mamma's Pizza and the service was warm and friendly. The price was fair, ~$25 for a medium Meat Lovers. The pizza looked and smelled amazing. It had a good crisp crust. The slices though, couldn't hold the weight of the toppings, which were moderately spread about the pizza causing half the toppings to slide off. Upon biting into the slice it was immediately noted that it was grossly salty. Near inedbile. After inspection, I determined that the sausage was the insulting culprit. The sausage has to be picked off to eat f to he remaining slices. I would try again to see if the sausage was just a salty batch. read more

We have had tried many other pizza places from Wolfboro to North Conway and hands down Mumma Christy's is the BEST! The salad was skimpy for the price but, was still fresh and delicious. Pizza tastes like cardboard! And the guy owner is very disrespectful! I asked if he gave military discounts and he barked at me that he doesn't give anyone discounts!!! I then made a comment that you probably didn't serve in the military if you treat your customers with such disrespect and don't have a military discount? I was going to buy sodas to go along with the pizza, but decided not to give him any more of my money. I went next door to the General Store to get my drinks and was checking out. The girl and I were talking and I asked if the guy next door was the owner and she said he was only renting. Surprisingly, she told me he was a difficult, unhappy sole. First time trying this place out and it will be the last! Food was expensive and less than mediocre. Chicken tenders were way too hard to be considered a kid's meal, and the pizza just was not good. I used to love this place, but my last experience was enough to make me say I will never go there again. The man behind the counter actually made fun of me for wearing a mask and not wanting to approach the counter (he was not wearing a mask and there was no plastic barrier). That's not a great way to treat your paying customers, which I will not be again. I finally stopped in to try their pizza. I got the meatlovers and it was loaded with toppings. Very satisfied. My wife got a large tuba fish sub that she also enjoyed. The pizzas are huge, a large was 18"! Seating is limited, but a great stop on the way to North Conway to pick up some lunch or dinner. read more

I have to say, I was pretty skeptical after another pizza place opened in Ossipee. None of the currently operating ones in my opinion are even worth spending money on. This was different. This was actually some really good pizza. I would even venture to say the best in the area. Let's start with the pie. When trying a new place I always stick with the basic cheese to really get a good measure of what they've got going on. Its NY style. (The best style in my opinion) with a decent sauce to cheese ratio. Both tasty. Although I think it may have been a sauce base that was used but very good quality either way. They do use panko to roll the dough out instead of cornmeal. Eeh. I'm not super excited about it, but doesn't bother me too much and add another texture. The chicken fingers on the other hand were a little more disappointing. Definitely pre fab, but an okay brand. The disappointment was in the quantity. I was asked small or large and went with the large. Glad I did because its only 5 fingers for $8.99 which I thought was a little steep and I wasn't asked or offered any sauce. Will I come back? Absolutely. Would I recommend Mumma Christie's? Probably the only pizza place I'll send people to from now on. Looking forward to my next bite! read more

The staff is rude, they also take their phone off of the hook during business hours so they don't have to take anymore orders if they are busy or they will sometimes just pick up and hang up on you on purpose. They charged us $250 for 5 pizzas, 2 buckets of wings and an order of mozzarella sticks. Should have been $170 per their advertised pricing online. Owner was extremely rude when I called asking why the price was so high. He said it was my fault for not asking how much each item was. His website prices are completely wrong because he can't as the owner figure out how to update it. The hospitality and kindness from mumma christys staff is five star. I was visiting from out of town and went to go pick up my order. Unfortunately with unforeseen road closures I was unable to get to the store. I called to pay for my pizza I was unable to grab. They insisted on a solution for me to get my pizza and even met me in the closest parking lot to give it to me. You just don't see this kindness and accommodating behavior anymore. We seasonal in the area and go there often when we have company or don't feel like cooking . Staff are always friendly , their subs are stuffed with meats etc, & the pizza is pretty good. Don't let the exterior turn you away or the fact it's attached to a gas station. My family and I pulled up and almost did that. We went in anyways due to the good reviews and they weren't wrong.
